[a]Then the devil said unto him, If thou be the son of God, command this stone, that it be made bread.

But Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, (A)That man shall not live by bread only, but by every word of God.

Then the devil took him up into an high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, in the twinkling of an eye.
