12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and is generous to all who call on him.(A) 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”(B)

14 But how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed?[a] And how are they to believe[b] in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him? 15 And how are they to proclaim him unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”(C) 16 But not all have obeyed the good news,[c] for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed[d] our message?”(D) 17 So faith[e] comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.[f]

18 But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have:

“Their voice has gone out to all the earth
and their words to the ends of the world.”(E)

12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile(A)—the same Lord is Lord of all(B) and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord(C) will be saved.”[a](D)

14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”[b](E)

16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news.(F) For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”[c](G) 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message,(H) and the message is heard through the word about Christ.(I) 18 But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did:

“Their voice has gone out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.”[d](J)
