31 And then their (A)eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished from [a]their sight. 32 They said to one another, “[b]Were our hearts not burning within us when He was speaking to us on the road, while He (B)was [c]explaining the Scriptures to us?” 33 And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and (C)found the eleven gathered together and (D)those who were with them, 34 saying, “(E)The Lord has really risen and (F)has appeared to Simon!” 35 They began to relate [d]their experiences on the road, and how (G)He was recognized by them at the breaking of the bread.

31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him,(A) and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us(B) while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures(C) to us?”

33 They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together 34 and saying, “It is true! The Lord(D) has risen and has appeared to Simon.”(E) 35 Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.(F)
