25 And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 (A)Was it not necessary that (B)the Christ should suffer these things and enter into (C)his glory?” 27 And (D)beginning with (E)Moses and (F)all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

28 So they drew near to the village to which they were going. (G)He acted as if he were going farther, 29 but they urged him strongly, saying, “Stay with us, for it is toward evening and (H)the day is now far spent.” So he went in to stay with them. 30 When he was at table with them, he took the bread and (I)blessed and broke it and gave it to them. 31 (J)And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And (K)he vanished from their sight. 32 They said to each other, (L)“Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he (M)opened to us the Scriptures?”

28 As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus continued on as if he were going farther. 29 But they urged him strongly, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.

30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it(E) and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him,(F) and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us(G) while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures(H) to us?”
