²⁴So ^(A)Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they requested.

²⁴So Pilate decided to grant their demand.

⁶⁰Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, ^(A)“Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

⁶⁰Then he fell on his knees^(A) and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.”^(B) When he had said this, he fell asleep.^(C)
