60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about!” And immediately, while[a] he was still speaking, a rooster crowed. 61 And the Lord turned around and[b] looked intently at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord,[c] how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.” 62 And he went outside and[d] wept bitterly.

60 Peter replied, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Just as he was speaking, the rooster crowed. 61 The Lord(A) turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.”(B) 62 And he went outside and wept bitterly.

61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
