²⁸ You are those who have stood by me in my trials.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest^(A) who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are^(B)—yet he did not sin.^(C)

¹⁸ Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.^(A)

Dispute Over Whose Children Jesus’ Opponents Are

³¹ To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching,^(A) you are really my disciples.

⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him,^(B) “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.^(C)

¹³ but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.^(A)

²⁸ Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne,^(A) you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.^{(B) 29} And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife^[a] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.^(C)
