Luke 2:7-14

7 And she (A)gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a [a]manger, because there was no [b]room for them in the inn.
8 In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock at night. 9 And (B)an angel of the Lord suddenly (C)stood near them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. 10 And so the angel said to them, “(D)Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; 11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a (E)Savior, who is [c](F)Christ (G)the Lord. 12 And (H)this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a [d]manger.” 13 And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly [e]army of angels praising God and saying,

7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel(A) of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid.(B) I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior(C) has been born to you; he is the Messiah,(D) the Lord.(E) 12 This will be a sign(F) to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace(G) to those on whom his favor rests.”
