7 And she (A)gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a [a]manger, because there was no [b]room for them in the inn.
8 In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock at night. 9 And (B)an angel of the Lord suddenly (C)stood near them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. 10 And so the angel said to them, “(D)Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; 11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a (E)Savior, who is [c](F)Christ (G)the Lord.

7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel(A) of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid.(B) I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior(C) has been born to you; he is the Messiah,(D) the Lord.(E)
