⁸ But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord,^(A) “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything,^(B) I will pay back four times the amount.”^(C)

⁹ Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.^{(D) 10} For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”^(E)

³ And even if our gospel^(A) is veiled,^(B) it is veiled to those who are perishing.^{(C) 4} The god^(D) of this age^(E) has blinded^(F) the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ,^(G) who is the image of God.^(H)
