Fear God

“I say to you, my friends,(A) don’t fear(B) those who kill the body, and after that can do nothing more. But I will show you the one to fear: Fear(C) him who has authority to throw people into hell(D) after death. Yes, I say to you, this is the one to fear! Aren’t five sparrows sold for two pennies?[a] Yet not one of them is forgotten in God’s sight.(E) Indeed, the hairs of your head are all counted. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Fear God(A)

“But I tell you, my friends, never be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can’t do anything more. I’ll show you the one you should be afraid of. Be afraid of the one who has the authority to throw you into hell[a] after killing you. Yes, I tell you, be afraid of him!

“Five sparrows are sold for two pennies, aren’t they? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Why, even all the hairs on your head have been counted! Stop being afraid. You are worth more than a bunch of sparrows.”
