Luke 12:37-38

³⁷Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find ^(A)on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that ^(B)he will ^[a]prepare himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and he will come up and serve them. ³⁸^(C)Whether he comes in the ^[b]second watch, or even in the ^[c]third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves.

³⁷Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) are those servants whom the master finds awake and watching when he arrives. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, he will prepare himself to serve, and will have them recline at the table, and will come and wait on them. ³⁸Whether he comes in the second watch (before midnight), or even in the third (after midnight), and finds them so [prepared and ready], blessed are those servants.

³⁷It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes.^(A) Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them.^(B) ³⁸It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the middle of the night or toward daybreak.
