Luke 12:36-38

36 Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks. 37 Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find (A)on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that (B)he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them. 38 (C)Whether he comes in the [a]second watch, or even in the [b]third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves.

36 like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. 37 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes.(A) Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them.(B) 38 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the middle of the night or toward daybreak.
