7 and from inside he answers and says, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been shut and my children [a]and I are in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.’ 8 I tell you, even if he will not get up and give him anything just because he is his friend, yet (A)because of his [b]shamelessness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
9 “So I say to you, [c](B)ask, and it will be given to you; [d]seek, and you will find; [e]knock, and it will be opened to you.

7 And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ 8 I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity[a] he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.(A)
9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you;(B) seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
