⁷⁹to shine on those who sit in darkness and in death’s shadow,
and to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

⁸⁰Now the child continued to grow and to become spiritually strong.^[a] He lived in the wilderness until the day he appeared in Israel.

and in the shadow of death,^(A)
to guide our feet into the path of peace.”^(B)

⁸⁰And the child grew and became strong in spirit^[a];^(C) and he lived in the wilderness until he appeared publicly to Israel.
