²¹ And the people were waiting for Zechariah, and they were wondering at his delay in ^(A)the temple. ²² And when he came out, he was unable to speak to them, and they realized that he had seen a vision in ^(B)the temple. And ^(C)he kept making signs to them and remained mute.

² but do not measure ^(A)the court outside the temple; leave that out, for ^(B)it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for ^(C)forty-two months.

¹⁹ Then ^(A)God's temple in heaven was opened, and ^(B)the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings,^[a] peals of thunder, an earthquake, and ^(C)heavy hail.

² For ^(A)a tent^[a] was prepared, the first section, in which were ^(B)the lampstand and ^(C)the table and ^(D)the bread of the Presence.^[b] It is called the Holy Place. ³ Behind ^(E)the second curtain was a second section^[c] called the Most Holy Place,
