19 Förstår du vad du säger när du kallar mig god? frågade Jesus honom. Det är bara Gud som är god och ingen annan.
20 Men när det gäller din fråga om evigt liv så vet du väl vad de tio budorden säger: var inte otrogen i ditt äktenskap, mörda inte, stjäl inte, ljug inte, hedra dina föräldrar och så vidare.
21 Mannen svarade: Jag har hållit vartenda ett av dessa bud sedan jag var ett litet barn.

19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. 20 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’[a]”(A)
21 “All these I have kept since I was a boy,” he said.
