Arbeiter für Gottes Ernte (Matthäus 9,37‒38; 10,7‒16; 11,20‒24; Markus 6,7‒13)
10 Danach wählte Jesus zweiundsiebzig[a] weitere Jünger aus und schickte sie immer zu zweit in die Städte und Dörfer, die er später selbst aufsuchen wollte. 2 Er sagte zu ihnen: »Die Ernte ist groß, aber es gibt nur wenige Arbeiter. Darum bittet den Herrn, dass er noch mehr Arbeiter aussendet, die seine Ernte einbringen.
3 Geht nun und denkt daran: Ich schicke euch wie Lämmer mitten unter die Wölfe. 4 Nehmt kein Geld, keine Tasche und keine Schuhe mit. Falls ihr unterwegs Leute trefft, lasst euch nicht auf lange Begrüßungen und Gespräche ein!
5 Wenn ihr in ein Haus kommt, dann sagt: ›Friede sei mit euch allen!‹ 6 Wenn dort jemand Gottes Frieden bereitwillig annimmt, so soll der Friede, den ihr bringt, bei ihm bleiben. Wenn aber nicht, dann wird Gottes Friede ihn wieder verlassen und zu euch zurückkehren. 7 Deshalb bleibt dort, wo man euch aufnimmt, esst und trinkt, was man euch anbietet. Denn wer arbeitet, soll auch versorgt werden. Bleibt in dem einen Haus und wechselt eure Unterkunft nicht.
8 Wenn ihr in eine Stadt kommt, in der euch die Leute bereitwillig aufnehmen, dann esst, was man euch anbietet. 9 Heilt die Kranken und sagt allen Menschen dort: ›Jetzt beginnt Gottes Reich bei euch.‹
10 Will man aber irgendwo nichts von euch wissen, dann geht durch die Straßen der Stadt und sagt den Einwohnern: 11 ›Ihr habt euch selbst das Urteil gesprochen. Sogar den Staub eurer Straßen schütteln wir von unseren Füßen. Doch das sollt ihr wissen: Gottes Reich hat begonnen!‹
12 Ich sage euch: Sodom wird es am Tag des Gerichts besser ergehen als einer solchen Stadt. 13 Weh dir, Chorazin! Weh dir, Betsaida! Wenn die Wunder, die ich bei euch getan habe, in den nichtjüdischen Städten Tyrus oder Sidon geschehen wären, dann hätten ihre Einwohner längst Trauerkleider angezogen, sich Asche auf den Kopf gestreut und wären zu Gott umgekehrt. 14 Am Tag des Gerichts wird es Tyrus und Sidon besser ergehen als euch. 15 Und du, Kapernaum, meinst du etwa, du wirst zum Himmel erhoben? Nein, ins Reich der Toten wirst du hinabfahren!
16 Wer euch hört, der hört mich. Und wer euch ablehnt, der lehnt mich ab. Aber wer mich ablehnt, der lehnt damit Gott selbst ab, der mich gesandt hat.«
Die Rückkehr der zweiundsiebzig Jünger
17 Als die zweiundsiebzig Jünger zurückgekehrt waren, berichteten sie voller Freude: »Herr, sogar die Dämonen mussten uns gehorchen, wenn wir uns auf deinen Namen beriefen!«
18 Jesus antwortete: »Ich sah den Satan wie einen Blitz vom Himmel fallen. 19 Ich habe euch die Vollmacht gegeben, auf Schlangen und Skorpione zu treten und die Gewalt des Feindes zu brechen. Nichts wird euch schaden. 20 Doch freut euch nicht so sehr, dass euch die bösen Geister gehorchen müssen; freut euch vielmehr darüber, dass eure Namen im Himmel aufgeschrieben sind!«
Jesus dankt dem Vater (Matthäus 11,25‒27; 13,16‒17)
21 Da brach Jesus, erfüllt vom Heiligen Geist, in Jubel aus und betete: »Mein Vater, Herr über Himmel und Erde! Ich preise dich, dass du die Wahrheit über dein Reich vor den Klugen und Gebildeten verborgen und sie den Unwissenden enthüllt hast. Ja, Vater, das war dein Wille, so hat es dir gefallen. 22 Mein Vater hat mir alle Macht gegeben. Nur der Vater kennt den Sohn. Und nur der Sohn kennt den Vater und jeder, dem der Sohn ihn offenbaren will.«
23 Zu seinen Jüngern sagte Jesus dann: »Ihr könnt euch wirklich glücklich schätzen, dass ihr dies alles seht und erlebt. 24 Denn ich sage euch: Viele Propheten und Könige hätten gern gesehen, was ihr seht, und gehört, was ihr hört. Aber die Zeit war noch nicht da.«

Der barmherzige Samariter – das wichtigste Gebot (Matthäus 22,34‒40; Markus 12,28‒34)
25 Da stand ein Gesetzeslehrer auf, um Jesus eine Falle zu stellen. »Lehrer«, fragte er, »was muss ich tun, um das ewige Leben zu bekommen?« 26 Jesus erwiderte: »Was steht denn im Gesetz Gottes? Was liest du dort?« 27 Der Gesetzeslehrer antwortete: »Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, lieben von ganzem Herzen, mit ganzer Hingabe, mit all deiner Kraft und mit deinem ganzen Verstand. Und auch deinen Mitmenschen sollst du so lieben wie dich selbst.«[b]
28 »Richtig!«, erwiderte Jesus. »Tu das, und du wirst leben.«
29 Aber der Mann wollte sich verteidigen und fragte weiter: »Wer gehört denn eigentlich zu meinen Mitmenschen?«
30 Jesus antwortete ihm mit einer Geschichte: »Ein Mann ging von Jerusalem nach Jericho. Unterwegs wurde er von Räubern überfallen. Sie schlugen ihn zusammen, raubten ihn aus und ließen ihn halb tot liegen. Dann machten sie sich davon.
31 Zufällig kam bald darauf ein Priester vorbei. Er sah den Mann liegen und ging schnell auf der anderen Straßenseite weiter. 32 Genauso verhielt sich ein Tempeldiener. Er sah zwar den verletzten Mann, aber er blieb nicht stehen, sondern machte einen großen Bogen um ihn. 33 Dann kam einer der verachteten Samariter vorbei. Als er den Verletzten sah, hatte er Mitleid mit ihm. 34 Er ging zu ihm hin, behandelte seine Wunden mit Öl und Wein und verband sie. Dann hob er ihn auf sein Reittier und brachte ihn in den nächsten Gasthof, wo er den Kranken besser pflegen und versorgen konnte.
35 Am folgenden Tag, als er weiterreisen musste, gab er dem Wirt zwei Silberstücke aus seinem Beutel und bat ihn: ›Pflege den Mann gesund! Sollte das Geld nicht reichen, werde ich dir den Rest auf meiner Rückreise bezahlen!‹
36 Was meinst du?«, fragte Jesus jetzt den Gesetzeslehrer. »Welcher von den dreien hat an dem Überfallenen als Mitmensch gehandelt?« 37 Der Gesetzeslehrer erwiderte: »Natürlich der Mann, der ihm geholfen hat.« »Dann geh und folge seinem Beispiel!«, forderte Jesus ihn auf.
Jesus bei Maria und Marta
38 Als Jesus mit seinen Jüngern weiterzog, kam er in ein Dorf, wo er bei einer Frau aufgenommen wurde, die Marta hieß. 39 Maria, ihre Schwester, setzte sich zu Füßen von Jesus hin und hörte ihm aufmerksam zu. 40 Marta aber war unentwegt mit der Bewirtung ihrer Gäste beschäftigt.
Schließlich kam sie zu Jesus und fragte: »Herr, siehst du nicht, dass meine Schwester mir die ganze Arbeit überlässt? Sag ihr doch, dass sie mir helfen soll!« 41 Doch der Herr antwortete ihr: »Marta, Marta, du bist um so vieles besorgt und machst dir so viel Mühe. 42 Nur eines aber ist wirklich wichtig und gut! Maria hat sich für dieses eine entschieden, und das kann ihr niemand mehr nehmen.«

10 इसके बाद प्रभु ने अन्य बहत्तर व्यक्तियों को चुन कर उन्हें दो-दो कर के उन नगरों और स्थानों पर अपने आगे भेज दिया, जहाँ वह स्वयं जाने पर थे. 2 मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “फसल तो काफी है किन्तु मज़दूर कम. इसलिए फसल के स्वामी से खेत में मज़दूर भेजने की विनती करो. 3 जाओ! मैं तुम्हें भेज रहा हूँ. तुम भेड़ियों के मध्य मेमनों के समान हो. 4 अपने साथ न तो धन, न झोला और न ही जूतियाँ ले जाना. मार्ग में किसी का कुशल मंगल पूछने में भी समय खर्च न करना.
5 “जिस किसी घर में प्रवेश करो, तुम्हारे सबसे पहिले शब्द हों, ‘इस घर में शान्ति बनी रहे.’ 6 यदि परिवार-प्रधान शान्तिप्रिय व्यक्ति है, तुम्हारी शान्ति उस पर बनी रहेगी. यदि वह ऐसा नहीं है तो तुम्हारी शान्ति तुम्हारे ही पास लौट आएगी. 7 उसी घर के मेहमान बने रहना. भोजन और पीने के लिए जो कुछ तुम्हें परोसा जाए, उसे स्वीकार करना क्योंकि सेवक अपने वेतन का अधिकारी है. एक घर से निकल कर दूसरे घर में मेहमान न बनना.
8 “जब तुम किसी नगर में प्रवेश करो और वहाँ लोग तुम्हें सहर्ष स्वीकार करें, तो जो कुछ तुम्हें परोसा जाए, उसे खाओ. 9 वहाँ जो बीमार हैं, उन्हें चँगा करना और उन्हें सूचित करना, ‘परमेश्वर का राज्य तुम्हारे निकट आ गया है.’ 10 किन्तु यदि तुम किसी नगर में प्रवेश करो और वहाँ नगरवासियों द्वारा स्वीकार न किए जाओ तो उस नगर की गलियों में जा कर यह घोषणा करो, 11 ‘तुम्हारे नगर की धूल तक, जो हमारे पाँवों में लगी है, उसे हम तुम्हारे सामने झाड़े दे रहे हैं; परन्तु यह जान लो कि परमेश्वर का राज्य निकट आ गया है.’ 12 सच मानो, न्याय के दिन पर सोदोम नगर के लिए तय किया गया दण्ड उस नगर के लिए तय किए दण्ड की तुलना में सहने योग्य होगा.
13 “तुम पर धिक्कार है कोराज़ीन नगर! धिक्कार है तुम पर बैथसैदा नगर! यदि वे सामर्थ्य के काम, जो तुम में किए गए हैं, त्सोर और त्सीदोन नगरों में किए जाते तो वे कब के शोक के वस्त्र धारण कर, राख में बैठ पश्चाताप कर चुके होते. 14 किन्तु तुम दोनों नगरों की तुलना में त्सोर और त्सीदोन नगरों का दण्ड सहने योग्य होगा. 15 और तुम, कफ़रनहूम! क्या तुम आकाश तक ऊँचे किए जाओगे? बिलकुल नहीं! तुम तो पाताल में उतार दिए जाओगे.
16 “वह, जो तुम्हारी शिक्षा को सुनता है, मेरी शिक्षा को सुनता है; वह, जो तुम्हें अस्वीकार करता है, मुझे अस्वीकार करता है किन्तु वह, जो मुझे अस्वीकार करता है, उन्हें अस्वीकार करता है, जिन्होंने मुझे भेजा है.”
17 वे बहत्तर बहुत उत्साह से भरकर लौटे और कहने लगे, “प्रभु! आपके नाम में तो प्रेत भी हमारे सामने समर्पण कर देते हैं!”
18 इस पर मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “मैं शैतान को बिजली के समान स्वर्ग से गिरते देख रहा था. 19 मैंने तुम्हें साँपों और बिच्छुओं को रौन्दने तथा शत्रु के सभी सामर्थ्य का नाश करने का अधिकार दिया है इसलिए किसी भी रीति से तुम्हारी हानि न होगी. 20 फिर भी, तुम्हारे लिए आनन्द का विषय यह न हो कि प्रेत तुम्हारी आज्ञाओं का पालन करते हैं परन्तु यह कि तुम्हारे नाम स्वर्ग में लिखे जा चुके हैं.”
येशु की प्रार्थना
21 मसीह येशु पवित्रात्मा के आनन्द से भरकर कहने लगे, “पिता! स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी के स्वामी, मैं आपकी स्तुति करता हूँ कि आपने ये सभी सच बुद्धिमानों और ज्ञानियों से छुपा रखे और नन्हे बालकों पर प्रकट कर दिए क्योंकि पिता, आपकी दृष्टि में यही अच्छा था.
22 “सब कुछ मुझे मेरे पिता द्वारा सौंपा गया है. कोई नहीं जानता कि पुत्र कौन है अतिरिक्त पिता के और कोई नहीं जानता कि पिता कौन हैं अतिरिक्त पुत्र के तथा उनके, जिन पर पुत्र ने उन्हें—पिता को—प्रकट करना सही समझा.”
23 तब मसीह येशु ने अपने शिष्यों की ओर उन्मुख हो उनसे व्यक्तिगत रूप से कहा, “धन्य हैं वे आँख, जो वह देख रही हैं, जो तुम देख रहे हो 24 क्योंकि सच मानो, अनेक भविष्यद्वक्ताओं और राजाओं ने यही देखने की कामना की थी, जो तुम देख रहे हो किन्तु वे इससे वंचित रहे और वे वह सब सुनने की इच्छा करते रहे, जो तुम सुन रहे हो किन्तु न सुन सके.”
सर्वोपरि आज्ञा
25 एक अवसर पर एक वकील ने मसीह येशु को परखने के उद्देश्य से उनके सामने यह प्रश्न रखा: “गुरुवर, अनन्त काल के जीवन को पाने के लिए मैं क्या करूँ?”
26 मसीह येशु ने उससे प्रश्न किया, “व्यवस्था में क्या लिखा है, इसके विषय में तुम्हारा विश्लेषण क्या है?”
27 उस व्यक्ति ने उत्तर दिया, “‘प्रभु, अपने परमेश्वर से अपने सारे हृदय, अपने सारे प्राण, अपनी सारी शक्ति तथा अपनी सारी समझ से प्रेम करो तथा अपने पड़ोसी से अपने समान प्रेम’.”
28 मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “तुम्हारा उत्तर बिलकुल सही है. यही करने से तुम जीवित रहोगे.”
29 स्वयं को संगत प्रमाणित करने के उद्देश्य से उसने मसीह येशु से प्रश्न किया, “तो यह बताइए कौन है मेरा पड़ोसी?”
30 मसीह येशु ने उत्तर दिया. “येरूशालेम नगर से एक व्यक्ति येरीख़ो नगर जा रहा था कि डाकुओं ने उसे घेर लिया, उसके वस्त्र छीन लिए, उसकी पिटाई की और उसे अधमरी हालत में छोड़ कर भाग गए. 31 संयोग से एक याजक उसी मार्ग से जा रहा था. जब उसने उस व्यक्ति को देखा, वह मार्ग के दूसरी ओर से आगे बढ़ गया. 32 इसी प्रकार एक लेवी भी उसी स्थान पर आया, उसकी दृष्टि उस पर पड़ी तो वह भी दूसरी ओर से होता हुआ चला गया. 33 एक शोमरोनी भी उसी मार्ग से यात्रा करते हुए उस जगह पर आ पहुँचा. जब उसकी दृष्टि उस घायल व्यक्ति पर पड़ी, वह दया से भर गया. 34 वह उसके पास गया और उसके घावों पर तेल और दाखरस लगा कर पट्टी बांधी. तब वह घायल व्यक्ति को अपने वाहक पशु पर बैठा कर एक यात्री निवास में ले गया तथा उसकी सेवा टहल की. 35 अगले दिन उसने दो दीनार यात्री निवास के स्वामी को देते हुए कहा, ‘इस व्यक्ति की सेवा टहल कीजिए. इसके अतिरिक्त जो भी व्यय होगा वह मैं लौटने पर चुका दूँगा.’
36 “यह बताओ तुम्हारे विचार से इन तीनों व्यक्तियों में से कौन उन डाकुओं द्वारा घायल व्यक्ति का पड़ोसी है?”
37 वकील ने उत्तर दिया, “वही, जिसने उसके प्रति करुणाभाव का परिचय दिया.” मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “जाओ, तुम्हारा स्वभाव भी ऐसा ही हो.”
मार्था और मरियम के घर में मसीह येशु
38 मसीह येशु और उनके शिष्य यात्रा करते हुए एक गाँव में पहुँचे, जहाँ मार्था नामक एक स्त्री ने उन्हें अपने घर में आमन्त्रित किया. 39 उसकी एक बहन थी, जिसका नाम मरियम था. वह प्रभु के चरणों में बैठ कर उनके प्रवचन सुनने लगी 40 किन्तु मार्था विभिन्न तैयारियों में उलझी रही. वह मसीह येशु के पास आई और उनसे प्रश्न किया, “प्रभु, क्या आपको इसका लेशमात्र भी ध्यान नहीं कि मेरी बहन ने अतिथि-सत्कार का सारा बोझ मुझ अकेली पर ही छोड़ दिया है? आप उससे कहें कि वह मेरी सहायता करे.”
41 “मार्था, मार्था,” प्रभु ने कहा, “तुम अनेक विषयों की चिन्ता करती और घबरा जाती हो 42 किन्तु ज़रूरत तो कुछ ही की है—वास्तव में एक ही की. मरियम ने उसी उत्तम भाग को चुना है, जो उससे कभी अलग न किया जाएगा.”

The Mission of the Seventy
10 After this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two ahead of Him into every city and place where He Himself was about to come. 2 He said to them, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. 3 Go your ways. Listen, I am sending you out as lambs among wolves. 4 Carry no purse, no bag, no shoes, and greet no one on the road.
5 “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’ 6 If a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him; but if not, it will return upon you. 7 Remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they give, for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Do not go from house to house.
8 “When you enter a city and they receive you, eat what is set before you. 9 Heal the sick who are there and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10 But when you enter a city and they do not receive you, go your way out into their streets and say, 11 ‘Even the dust of your city which clings to us, we wipe off against you. Yet be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 12 But I say to you, it will be more tolerable on that Day for Sodom than for that city.
Unrepentant Cities(A)
13 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which have been done for you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 14 But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. 15 And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be thrust down to hell.
16 “He who listens to you listens to Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.”
The Return of the Seventy
17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us through Your name.”
18 He said to them, “I saw Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Look, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
The Rejoicing of Jesus(B)
21 At that time Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for it was Your good pleasure.
22 “All things have been handed over to Me by My Father. And no one knows who the Son is but the Father, and who the Father is but the Son and he to whom the Son desires to reveal Him.”
23 Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see what you see. 24 For I tell you, many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it.”
The Good Samaritan
25 Now, a lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read?”
27 He answered, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind’[a] and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’[b]”
28 He said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.”
29 But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 Jesus answered, “A man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing and wounded him and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 By chance a priest came down that way. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 So likewise a Levite, when he came to that place, looked at him and passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion on him, 34 and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine. Then he set him on his own donkey and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 The next day when he departed, he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper and said to him, ‘Take care of him. I will repay you whatever else you spend when I return.’
36 “Now which of these three do you think was a neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”
37 He said, “The one who showed mercy on him.”
Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
Visiting Martha and Mary
38 As they went, He entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and listened to His teaching. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she came to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Then tell her to help me.”
41 Jesus answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed. And Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken from her.”
