Ang Pangangaral ni Juan na Tagapagbautismo(A)
3 Nang ikalabinlimang taon ng paghahari ni Tiberio Cesar, si Poncio Pilato ang gobernador sa Judea, at tetrarka[a] sa Galilea si Herodes. Ang kanyang kapatid na si Felipe ang tetrarka sa lupain ng Iturea at Traconite, at si Lisanias ang tetrarka sa Abilinia,
2 Sa panahon ng mga pinakapunong pari na sina Anas at Caifas, dumating ang salita ng Diyos kay Juan, na anak ni Zacarias, sa ilang.
3 Siya'y nagtungo sa buong lupain sa palibot ng Jordan, na ipinangangaral ang bautismo ng pagsisisi para sa kapatawaran ng mga kasalanan.
4 Gaya(B) ng nasusulat sa aklat ng mga salita ni propeta Isaias,
“Ang tinig ng isang sumisigaw sa ilang,
‘Ihanda ninyo ang daan ng Panginoon,
tuwirin ninyo ang kanyang mga landas.
5 Bawat libis ay matatambakan,
at bawat bundok at burol ay papatagin,
at ang liko ay tutuwirin,
at ang mga baku-bakong daan ay papantayin.
6 At makikita ng lahat ng laman ang pagliligtas ng Diyos.’”
7 Kaya't(C) sinabi ni Juan[b] sa napakaraming tao na dumating upang magpabautismo sa kanya, “Kayong lahi ng mga ulupong! Sino ang nagbabala sa inyo na tumakas sa poot na darating?
8 Kaya't(D) mamunga kayo ng karapat-dapat sa pagsisisi at huwag ninyong sabihin sa inyong sarili, ‘Si Abraham ang aming ama.’ Sapagkat sinasabi ko sa inyo na magagawa ng Diyos na magbangon mula sa mga batong ito ng magiging anak ni Abraham.
9 Ngayon(E) pa lamang ay nakalagay na ang palakol sa ugat ng mga punungkahoy. Kaya't ang bawat punungkahoy na di mabuti ang bunga ay pinuputol at itinatapon sa apoy.”
10 Tinanong siya ng maraming tao, “Ano ngayon ang dapat naming gawin?”
11 Sumagot siya sa kanila, “Ang may dalawang tunika ay magbahagi sa wala, at ang may pagkain ay gayundin ang gawin.”
12 Dumating(F) din ang mga maniningil ng buwis upang magpabautismo at sinabi nila sa kanya, “Guro, ano ang dapat naming gawin?”
13 Sinabi niya sa kanila, “Huwag na kayong sumingil pa ng higit kaysa iniutos sa inyo.”
14 Tinanong din siya ng mga kawal, “At kami, anong dapat naming gawin?” At sinabi niya sa kanila, “Huwag kayong mangikil ng salapi kaninuman sa pamamagitan ng dahas o maling paratang at masiyahan kayo sa inyong sahod.”
15 Samantalang ang mga tao'y naghihintay, nagtatanong ang lahat sa kanilang mga puso tungkol kay Juan, kung siya ang Cristo.
16 Sumagot si Juan at sinabi sa kanilang lahat, “Binabautismuhan ko kayo ng tubig. Subalit dumarating ang higit na makapangyarihan kaysa akin. Ako'y hindi karapat-dapat magkalag ng panali ng kanyang mga sandalyas. Kayo'y babautismuhan niya sa Espiritu Santo at sa apoy.
17 Nasa kamay niya ang kanyang kalaykay upang linisin ang kanyang giikan at tipunin ang trigo sa kanyang kamalig, subalit susunugin niya ang dayami sa apoy na hindi mapapatay.”
18 Kaya't sa iba pang maraming pangaral ay ipinahayag niya sa mga tao ang magandang balita.
19 Subalit(G) si Herodes na tetrarka, na sinumbatan niya dahil kay Herodias na asawa ng kanyang kapatid, at dahil sa lahat ng masasamang bagay na ginawa ni Herodes,
20 ay nagdagdag pa sa lahat ng mga ito sa pamamagitan ng pagpapakulong kay Juan sa bilangguan.
Binautismuhan si Jesus(H)
21 Nang mabautismuhan ang buong bayan, at nang mabautismuhan din si Jesus at siya'y nananalangin, ang langit ay nabuksan.
22 At(I) bumaba sa kanya ang Espiritu Santo na may anyong katawan na tulad sa isang kalapati. May isang tinig na nagmula sa langit, “Ikaw ang pinakamamahal kong Anak, sa iyo ako lubos na nalulugod.”

Juan el Bautista prepara el camino(A)(B)
3 En el año quince del reinado de Tiberio César, Poncio Pilato gobernaba la provincia de Judea, Herodes[a] era tetrarca en Galilea, su hermano Felipe en Iturea y Traconite, y Lisanias en Abilene; 2 el sumo sacerdocio lo ejercían Anás y Caifás. En aquel entonces, la palabra de Dios llegó a Juan, hijo de Zacarías, en el desierto. 3 Juan recorría toda la región del Jordán predicando el bautismo de arrepentimiento para el perdón de pecados. 4 Así está escrito en el libro del profeta Isaías:
«Voz de uno que grita en el desierto:
“Preparen el camino para el Señor,
háganle sendas derechas.
5 Se levantarán todos los valles
y se allanarán todas las montañas y colinas.
Los caminos torcidos se enderezarán
y las sendas escabrosas queden llanas.
6 Y toda humanidad verá la salvación de Dios”».[b]
7 Muchos acudían a Juan para que los bautizara.
—¡Camada de víboras! —dijo—. ¿Quién les advirtió que huyeran del castigo que se acerca? 8 Produzcan frutos que demuestren arrepentimiento. Y no se pongan a decir: “Tenemos a Abraham por padre”. Porque les digo que aun de estas piedras Dios es capaz de darle hijos a Abraham. 9 Es más, el hacha ya está puesta a la raíz de los árboles y todo árbol que no produzca buen fruto será cortado y arrojado al fuego.
10 —¿Entonces qué debemos hacer? —preguntaba la gente.
11 —El que tiene dos camisas debe compartir con el que no tiene ninguna —contestó Juan—, y el que tiene comida debe hacer lo mismo.
12 Llegaron también unos recaudadores de impuestos para que los bautizara.
—Maestro, ¿qué debemos hacer nosotros? —preguntaron.
13 —No cobren más de lo debido —respondió.
14 —Y nosotros, ¿qué debemos hacer? —preguntaron unos soldados.
Y les dijo:
—No extorsionen a nadie ni hagan denuncias falsas; más bien confórmense con lo que les pagan.
15 La gente estaba a la expectativa y todos se preguntaban si acaso Juan sería el Cristo.
16 —Yo los bautizo a ustedes con[c] agua —respondió Juan a todos—. Pero está por llegar uno más poderoso que yo, a quien ni siquiera merezco desatarle la correa de sus sandalias. Él los bautizará con el Espíritu Santo y con fuego. 17 Tiene el aventador en la mano para limpiar su era y recoger el trigo en su granero. La paja, en cambio, la quemará con fuego que nunca se apagará.
18 Y con muchas otras palabras exhortaba Juan a la gente y le anunciaba las buenas noticias. 19 Pero, cuando reprendió al tetrarca Herodes por el asunto de su cuñada Herodías,[d] y por todas las otras maldades que había cometido, 20 Herodes llegó hasta el colmo de encerrar a Juan en la cárcel.

21 Un día en que todos acudían a Juan para que los bautizara, Jesús fue bautizado también. Y mientras oraba, se abrió el cielo 22 y el Espíritu Santo bajó sobre él en forma de paloma. Entonces se oyó una voz que desde el cielo decía: «Tú eres mi Hijo amado; estoy muy complacido contigo».
23 Jesús tenía unos treinta años cuando comenzó su ministerio. Era hijo, según se creía, de José. Esta es la lista de sus antepasados:

Пророк Яхьё готовит путь Исо Масеху(A)
3 В пятнадцатый год правления императора Тиверия, когда Иудеей управлял Понтий Пилат, Ирод был правителем Галилеи, его брат Филипп – правителем Итуреи и Трахонитской области, Лисаний – правителем Авилинеи,[a] 2 а Ханан и Каиафа были верховными священнослужителями,[b] слово Всевышнего было к Яхьё, сыну Закарии, в пустыне. 3 После этого Яхьё пошёл по всем областям, прилегающим к реке Иордану, и проповедовал, что все должны пройти обряд погружения в воду[c] в знак того, что они покаялись, чтобы получить прощение грехов. 4 Как написано в книге пророка Исаии:

7 Яхьё говорил толпам, которые приходили к нему принять обряд погружения в воду:
– Вы, змеиное отродье! Кто предупредил вас, чтобы вы бежали от грядущего возмездия Всевышнего? 8 Делами докажите искренность вашего покаяния. Не считайте, что вы избежите наказания только потому, что вы «дети Иброхима». Говорю вам, что Всевышний может и из этих камней сотворить детей Иброхиму. 9 Уже и топор лежит у корня деревьев, и всякое дерево, не приносящее хорошего плода, будет срублено и брошено в огонь.
10 – Что же нам делать? – спрашивал народ.
11 Яхьё отвечал:
– Тот, у кого две рубахи, пусть даст одну тому, у кого нет вообще, и тот, у кого есть еда, пусть поделится с голодающим.
12 Сборщики налогов[e] тоже приходили принять обряд погружения в воду.
– Учитель, – спрашивали они, – что нам делать?
13 – Не требуйте с людей больше, чем положено, – говорил он им.
14 Спрашивали его и солдаты:
– А что делать нам?
Яхьё ответил:
– Не вымогайте у людей денег силой и угрозами, никого ложно не обвиняйте и довольствуйтесь своим жалованьем.
15 Народ был в напряжённом ожидании Масеха, и всех интересовало, не Яхьё ли это. 16 На это Яхьё отвечал им всем:
– Я совершаю над вами обряд, погружая вас в воду, но придёт Тот, Кто могущественнее меня, я даже не достоин развязать ремни Его сандалий. Он будет погружать вас в Святого Духа и в огонь[f]. 17 У Него в руках лопата, чтобы провеять зерно на току; пшеницу Он соберёт в Своё хранилище, а мякину сожжёт в неугасимом огне.[g]
18 И много другого говорил Яхьё, убеждая народ и возвещая ему Радостную Весть.
19 Когда же он стал упрекать правителя Ирода за женитьбу на Иродиаде, жене его брата,[h] и за всё другое зло, которое тот совершил, 20 Ирод ко всему злу добавил ещё одно, заключив Яхьё в темницу.

3 In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar—when Pontius Pilate(C) was governor of Judea, Herod(D) tetrarch of Galilee, his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea and Traconitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene— 2 during the high-priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas,(E) the word of God came to John(F) son of Zechariah(G) in the wilderness. 3 He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.(H) 4 As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet:
“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.
5 Every valley shall be filled in,
every mountain and hill made low.
The crooked roads shall become straight,
the rough ways smooth.
6 And all people will see God’s salvation.’”[a](I)
7 John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers!(J) Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?(K) 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’(L) For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 9 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”(M)
10 “What should we do then?”(N) the crowd asked.
11 John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”(O)
12 Even tax collectors came to be baptized.(P) “Teacher,” they asked, “what should we do?”
13 “Don’t collect any more than you are required to,”(Q) he told them.
14 Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?”
He replied, “Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely(R)—be content with your pay.”
15 The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John(S) might possibly be the Messiah.(T) 16 John answered them all, “I baptize you with[b] water.(U) But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with[c] the Holy Spirit and fire.(V) 17 His winnowing fork(W) is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”(X) 18 And with many other words John exhorted the people and proclaimed the good news to them.
19 But when John rebuked Herod(Y) the tetrarch because of his marriage to Herodias, his brother’s wife, and all the other evil things he had done, 20 Herod added this to them all: He locked John up in prison.(Z)

8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10 And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
18 And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
20 Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
24 Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph,
