Ang Muling Pagkabuhay ni Jesus(A)
24 Maagang-maaga pa ng araw ng Linggo, ang mga babae ay nagbalik sa libingan, dala ang mga pabangong inihanda nila. 2 Nang dumating sila doon, nakita nilang naigulong na ang batong nakatakip sa libingan. 3 Ngunit nang pumasok sila, wala roon ang bangkay ng Panginoong Jesus. 4 Samantalang nagtataka sila kung ano ang nangyari, biglang lumitaw sa tabi nila ang dalawang lalaking nakakasilaw ang damit. 5 Dahil sa matinding takot, sila'y nagpatirapa. Tinanong sila ng mga lalaki, “Bakit ninyo hinahanap ang buháy sa lugar ng mga patay? 6 Wala(B) siya rito, siya'y muling nabuhay! Alalahanin ninyo ang sinabi niya sa inyo noong nasa Galilea pa siya, 7 ‘Ang Anak ng Tao ay kailangang ipagkanulo sa mga makasalanan at ipako sa krus, at sa ikatlong araw ay muling mabubuhay.’”
8 Naalala nga ng mga babae ang mga sinabi ni Jesus noong una, 9 kaya't umuwi sila at isinalaysay nila sa labing-isa at sa iba pa nilang kasamahan ang buong pangyayari. 10 Ang mga babaing ito'y sina Maria Magdalena, Juana, at Maria na ina ni Santiago; sila at ang iba pang mga babaing kasama nila ang nagbalita sa mga apostol. 11 Akala ng mga apostol ay kahibangan lamang ang kanilang sinasabi kaya ayaw nilang paniwalaan ang mga kababaihan. [12 Ngunit tumayo si Pedro at patakbong nagpunta sa libingan. Yumuko siya, at pagtingin sa loob ay wala siyang nakita kundi ang mga telang lino na ipinambalot kay Jesus. Kaya't umuwi siyang nagtataka sa nangyari.][a]
Sa Daang Papunta sa Emaus(C)
13 Nang araw ding iyon, may dalawang alagad na naglalakad papuntang Emaus, isang nayong may labing-isang kilometro[b] ang layo mula sa Jerusalem. 14 Pinag-uusapan nila ang mga pangyayari. 15 Habang sila'y nag-uusap, lumapit si Jesus at nakisabay sa kanila, 16 ngunit siya'y hindi nila nakilala na para bang natatakpan ang kanilang mga mata. 17 Tinanong sila ni Jesus, “Ano ba ang pinag-uusapan ninyo?”
Tumigil silang nalulumbay, at 18 sinabi ng isa sa kanila na nagngangalang Cleopas, “Ikaw lamang yata ang dayuhan sa Jerusalem na hindi nakakaalam sa mga pangyayaring katatapos lamang maganap doon.”
19 “Anong mga pangyayari?” tanong niya.
Sumagot sila, “Tungkol kay Jesus na taga-Nazaret, isang propetang makapangyarihan sa salita at gawa maging sa harap ng Diyos at ng mga tao. 20 Isinakdal siya ng aming mga punong pari at mga pinuno ng bayan upang mahatulang mamatay, at siya'y ipinako sa krus. 21 Siya pa naman ang inaasahan naming magpapalaya sa Israel. Hindi lamang iyan. Ikatlong araw na ngayon mula nang mangyari ito. 22 Nabigla kami sa ibinalita ng ilan sa mga babaing kasamahan namin. Maagang-maaga raw silang nagpunta sa libingan 23 at hindi nila natagpuan ang kanyang bangkay. Nagbalik sila at ang sabi'y nakakita raw sila ng isang pangitain, mga anghel na nagsabing si Jesus ay buháy. 24 Pumunta rin sa libingan ang ilan sa mga kasama namin at ganoon nga ang natagpuan nila, ngunit hindi nila nakita si Jesus.”
25 Sinabi sa kanila ni Jesus, “Kay hahangal ninyo! Kay kukupad ninyong maniwala sa lahat ng sinasabi ng mga propeta! 26 Hindi ba't kailangang ang Cristo ay magtiis ng lahat ng ito bago siya pumasok sa kanyang kaluwalhatian?” 27 At ipinaliwanag sa kanila ni Jesus ang lahat ng sinasabi sa Kasulatan tungkol sa kanya, simula sa mga aklat ni Moises hanggang sa mga sinulat ng mga propeta.
28 Malapit na sila sa nayong kanilang pupuntahan at si Jesus ay parang magpapatuloy pa sa paglakad, 29 ngunit siya'y pinigil nila. “Tumuloy ka muna rito sa amin. Palubog na ang araw at dumidilim na,” sabi nila. Kaya't sumama nga siya sa kanila. 30 Nang siya'y kasalo na nila sa pagkain, dumampot siya ng tinapay at nagpasalamat sa Diyos; pagkatapos, pinagpira-piraso iyon at ibinigay sa kanila. 31 Noon nabuksan ang kanilang mga mata at nakilala nila si Jesus, subalit siya'y biglang nawala sa kanilang paningin. 32 Nasabi nila sa isa't isa, “Kaya pala nag-aalab ang ating puso habang tayo'y kinakausap niya sa daan at ipinapaliwanag sa atin ang mga Kasulatan!”
33 Agad silang tumayo at nagbalik sa Jerusalem. Naratnan nilang nagkakatipon doon ang labing-isa at ang ibang kasamahan nila. 34 Sinabi ng mga ito sa dalawa, “Totoo nga palang muling nabuhay ang Panginoon! Nagpakita siya kay Simon!” 35 At isinalaysay naman ng dalawa ang nangyari sa daan at kung paano nila nakilala si Jesus nang paghati-hatiin nito ang tinapay.
Nagpakita si Jesus sa Kanyang mga Alagad(D)
36 Habang pinag-uusapan nila ito, tumayo si Jesus sa kalagitnaan nila [at nagsabi, “Sumainyo ang kapayapaan!”][c] 37 Natigilan sila at natakot sapagkat ang akala nila'y nakakita sila ng multo. 38 Kaya't sinabi ni Jesus, “Bakit kayo natitigilan? Bakit kayo nag-aalinlangan? 39 Tingnan ninyo ang aking mga kamay at mga paa. Ako nga ito. Hawakan ninyo ako at pagmasdan. Ang multo ay walang laman at buto, ngunit ako'y mayroon, tulad ng nakikita ninyo.”
[40 Habang sinasabi niya ito, ipinapakita niya sa kanila ang kanyang mga kamay at mga paa.][d] 41 Parang hindi pa rin sila makapaniwala sa laki ng galak at pagkamangha, kaya't tinanong sila ni Jesus, “May pagkain ba kayo riyan?” 42 Siya'y binigyan nila ng isang hiwa ng isdang inihaw. 43 Kinuha niya ito at kinain sa harap nila.
44 Pagkatapos ay sinabi niya sa kanila, “Ito ang tinutukoy ko nang sabihin ko sa inyo noong kasa-kasama pa ninyo ako: dapat matupad ang lahat ng nasusulat tungkol sa akin sa Kautusan ni Moises, sa aklat ng mga propeta, at sa aklat ng mga Awit.”
45 Binuksan niya ang kanilang pag-iisip upang maunawaan nila ang mga Kasulatan. 46 Sinabi niya sa kanila, “Ganito ang nasusulat: kinakailangang magdusa at mamatay ang Cristo; at pagkatapos, siya'y muling mabubuhay sa ikatlong araw. 47 Sa kanyang pangalan, ang pagsisisi at kapatawaran ng mga kasalanan ay dapat ipangaral sa lahat ng mga bansa, magmula sa Jerusalem. 48 Kayo ang mga saksi sa mga bagay na ito. 49 Tandaan(E) ninyo, isusugo ko sa inyo ang ipinangako ng aking Ama, kaya't huwag kayong aalis sa Jerusalem hangga't hindi kayo napagkakalooban ng kapangyarihang mula sa langit.”
Ang Pag-akyat ni Jesus sa Langit(F)
50 Pagkatapos(G) ng mga ito, sila'y isinama ni Jesus sa labas ng lungsod. Pagdating sa Bethania, itinaas niya ang kanyang mga kamay at sila'y binasbasan. 51 Habang(H) binabasbasan niya sila, siya'y umalis [at dinala paakyat sa langit].[e] 52 Siya'y sinamba nila at pagkatapos ay bumalik sila sa Jerusalem na punung-puno ng kagalakan. 53 Palagi silang nasa Templo at doo'y nagpupuri sa Diyos.

La resurrección
24 (A)Pero el primer día de la semana, al rayar el alba, las mujeres vinieron al sepulcro trayendo las especias aromáticas que habían preparado. 2 Encontraron que la piedra había sido removida del sepulcro, 3 y cuando entraron, no hallaron el cuerpo del Señor Jesús(B).
4 Aconteció que estando ellas perplejas por esto, de pronto se pusieron junto a ellas dos varones(C) en vestiduras resplandecientes(D). 5 Estando ellas aterrorizadas e inclinados sus rostros a tierra, ellos les dijeron: «¿Por qué buscan entre los muertos al que vive? 6 No está aquí, sino que ha resucitado(E). Acuérdense cómo les habló cuando estaba aún en Galilea(F), 7 diciendo que el Hijo del Hombre debía ser entregado en manos de hombres pecadores, y ser crucificado, y al tercer día resucitar(G)».
8 Entonces ellas se acordaron de Sus palabras(H), 9 y regresando del sepulcro, anunciaron todas estas cosas a los once apóstoles y a todos los demás. 10 Eran María Magdalena y Juana(I) y María, la madre de Jacobo[a](J). También las demás mujeres con ellas decían estas cosas a los apóstoles(K). 11 A ellos estas palabras les parecieron como disparates, y no las creyeron(L). 12 Pero Pedro se levantó y corrió al sepulcro. Inclinándose para mirar adentro, vio* solo[b] las envolturas de lino(M), y se fue a su casa(N) maravillado de lo que había acontecido.
Jesús se manifiesta a dos discípulos
13 Aquel mismo día dos de los discípulos iban a una aldea(O) llamada Emaús, que estaba como a once kilómetros de Jerusalén. 14 Conversaban entre sí acerca de todas estas cosas que habían acontecido. 15 Y mientras conversaban y discutían, Jesús mismo se acercó y caminaba con ellos. 16 Pero sus ojos estaban velados[c] para que no lo reconocieran(P).
17 Y Él les dijo: «¿Qué discusiones[d]son estas que tienen entre ustedes mientras van andando?». Y ellos se detuvieron, con semblante triste. 18 Uno de ellos, llamado Cleofas, le dijo: «¿Eres Tú el único visitante en Jerusalén que no sabe[e] las cosas que en ella han acontecido en estos días?». 19 «¿Qué cosas?», les preguntó Jesús. Y ellos le dijeron: «Las referentes a Jesús el Nazareno(Q), que fue un profeta[f](R) poderoso en obra y en palabra delante de Dios y de todo el pueblo; 20 y cómo los principales sacerdotes y nuestros gobernantes(S) lo entregaron a sentencia de muerte y lo crucificaron. 21 Pero nosotros esperábamos que Él era el que iba a redimir a Israel(T). Además de todo esto, este es el tercer día desde que estas cosas acontecieron. 22 Y[g] también algunas mujeres de entre nosotros nos asombraron; pues cuando fueron de madrugada al sepulcro(U), 23 y al no hallar Su cuerpo, vinieron diciendo que también habían visto una aparición de ángeles que decían que Él vivía. 24 Algunos de los que estaban con nosotros fueron al sepulcro, y lo hallaron tal como también las mujeres habían dicho; pero a Él no lo vieron».
25 Entonces Jesús les dijo: «¡Oh insensatos y tardos de corazón para creer todo lo que los profetas han dicho(V)! 26 ¿No era necesario que el Cristo[h]padeciera todas estas cosas y entrara en Su gloria(W)?».
27 Comenzando por[i] Moisés(X) y continuando con[j] todos los profetas(Y), les explicó lo referente a Él en todas las Escrituras. 28 Se acercaron a la aldea adonde iban, y Él hizo como que iba más lejos(Z). 29 Y ellos le insistieron, diciendo: «Quédate con nosotros, porque está atardeciendo, y el día ya ha declinado». Y entró a quedarse con ellos. 30 Al sentarse[k] a la mesa con ellos, Jesús tomó pan, y lo bendijo; y partiéndolo, les dio(AA). 31 Entonces les fueron abiertos los ojos y lo reconocieron(AB); pero Él desapareció de la presencia de ellos. 32 Y se dijeron el uno al otro: «¿No ardía nuestro corazón dentro de nosotros mientras nos hablaba en el camino, cuando nos abría[l] las Escrituras(AC)?».
33 Levantándose en esa misma hora, regresaron a Jerusalén, y hallaron reunidos a los once apóstoles(AD) y a los que estaban con ellos(AE), 34 que decían: «Es verdad que el Señor ha resucitado(AF) y se ha aparecido a Simón(AG)».
35 Y ellos contaban sus experiencias[m] en el camino, y cómo lo habían reconocido al partir el pan(AH).
Jesús se aparece a los discípulos
36 Mientras ellos relataban estas cosas, Jesús se puso en medio de ellos(AI), y les dijo: «Paz a ustedes».
37 Pero ellos, aterrorizados y asustados, pensaron que veían un espíritu(AJ). 38 Y Él les dijo: «¿Por qué están turbados, y por qué surgen dudas en sus corazones? 39 Miren Mis manos y Mis pies(AK), que Yo mismo soy; tóquenme y vean(AL), porque un espíritu no tiene carne ni huesos como ustedes ven que Yo tengo».
40 Cuando dijo esto, les mostró las manos y los pies. 41 Como ellos todavía no lo creían a causa de la alegría(AM) y porque estaban asombrados, les dijo: «¿Tienen aquí algo de comer(AN)?».
42 Ellos le presentaron parte de un pescado asado[n], 43 y Él lo tomó en las manos y comió delante de ellos(AO).
La gran comisión
44 Después Jesús les dijo: «Esto es lo que Yo les decía[o](AP)cuando todavía estaba con ustedes: que era necesario que se cumpliera todo lo que sobre Mí está escrito en la ley de Moisés(AQ), en los profetas(AR)y en los Salmos(AS)».
45 Entonces les abrió la mente para que comprendieran las Escrituras(AT), 46 y les dijo: «Así está escrito, que el Cristo[p]padecerá(AU)y resucitará de entre los muertos al tercer día(AV); 47 y que en Su nombre se predicará el arrepentimiento para el perdón[q]de los pecados(AW)a todas las naciones(AX), comenzando desde Jerusalén. 48 Ustedes son testigos de estas cosas(AY). 49 Por tanto, Yo enviaré sobre ustedes la promesa de Mi Padre(AZ); pero ustedes, permanezcan en la ciudad hasta que sean investidos con poder de lo alto(BA)».
Jesús se despide de sus discípulos
50 Entonces Jesús los condujo fuera de la ciudad, hasta cerca de Betania(BB), y alzando Sus manos, los bendijo. 51 Y aconteció que mientras los bendecía, se separó de ellos y fue llevado arriba al cielo. 52 Ellos, después de adorar a Jesús, regresaron a Jerusalén con gran gozo, 53 y estaban siempre en el templo alabando[r] a Dios.

24 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 And they remembered his words,
9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.
12 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.
13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

The Road to Emmaus(N)

17 And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you [f]walk and are sad?”
18 Then the one (R)whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?”
19 And He said to them, “What things?”
So they said to Him, “The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, (S)who was a Prophet (T)mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, 20 (U)and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. 21 But we were hoping (V)that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. 22 Yes, and (W)certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. 23 When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. 24 And (X)certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.”
25 Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26 (Y)Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His (Z)glory?” 27 And beginning at (AA)Moses and (AB)all the Prophets, He [g]expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.
The Disciples’ Eyes Opened
28 Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and (AC)He [h]indicated that He would have gone farther. 29 But (AD)they constrained Him, saying, (AE)“Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them.
30 Now it came to pass, as (AF)He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.
32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” 33 So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, 34 saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and (AG)has appeared to Simon!” 35 And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was [i]known to them in the breaking of bread.

36 (AI)Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” 37 But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen (AJ)a spirit. 38 And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. (AK)Handle Me and see, for a (AL)spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”
40 [j]When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. 41 But while they still did not believe (AM)for joy, and marveled, He said to them, (AN)“Have you any food here?” 42 So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish [k]and some honeycomb. 43 (AO)And He took it and ate in their presence.

44 Then He said to them, (AP)“These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” 45 And (AQ)He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.
46 Then He said to them, (AR)“Thus it is written, [l]and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 47 and that repentance and (AS)remission of sins should be preached in His name (AT)to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And (AU)you are witnesses of these things. 49 (AV)Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city [m]of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”
The Ascension(AW)
50 And He led them out (AX)as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51 (AY)Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. 52 (AZ)And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53 and were continually (BA)in the temple [n]praising and blessing God. [o]Amen.
