23 眾 人 都 起 來 ， 把 耶 穌 解 到 彼 拉 多 面 前 ，
2 就 告 他 說 ： 我 們 見 這 人 誘 惑 國 民 ， 禁 止 納 稅 給 該 撒 ， 並 說 自 己 是 基 督 ， 是 王 。
3 彼 拉 多 問 耶 穌 說 ： 你 是 猶 太 人 的 王 麼 ？ 耶 穌 回 答 說 ： 你 說 的 是 。
4 彼 拉 多 對 祭 司 長 和 眾 人 說 ： 我 查 不 出 這 人 有 甚 麼 罪 來 。
5 但 他 們 越 發 極 力 的 說 ： 他 煽 惑 百 姓 ， 在 猶 太 遍 地 傳 道 ， 從 加 利 利 起 ， 直 到 這 裡 了 。
6 彼 拉 多 一 聽 見 ， 就 問 ： 這 人 是 加 利 利 人 麼 ？
7 既 曉 得 耶 穌 屬 希 律 所 管 ， 就 把 他 送 到 希 律 那 裡 去 。 那 時 希 律 正 在 耶 路 撒 冷 。
8 希 律 看 見 耶 穌 ， 就 很 歡 喜 ； 因 為 聽 見 過 他 的 事 ， 久 已 想 要 見 他 ， 並 且 指 望 看 他 行 一 件 神 蹟 。
9 於 是 問 他 許 多 的 話 ； 耶 穌 卻 一 言 不 答 。
10 祭 司 長 和 文 士 都 站 著 ， 極 力 的 告 他 。
11 希 律 和 他 的 兵 丁 就 藐 視 耶 穌 ， 戲 弄 他 ， 給 他 穿 上 華 麗 衣 服 ， 把 他 送 回 彼 拉 多 那 裡 去 。
12 從 前 希 律 和 彼 拉 多 彼 此 有 仇 ， 在 那 一 天 就 成 了 朋 友 。

15 就 是 希 律 也 是 如 此 ， 所 以 把 他 送 回 來 。 可 見 他 沒 有 做 甚 麼 該 死 的 事 。
16 故 此 ， 我 要 責 打 他 ， 把 他 釋 放 了 。 （ 有 古 卷 在 此 有 ：
17 每 逢 這 節 期 ， 巡 撫 必 須 釋 放 一 個 囚 犯 給 他 們 。 ）
18 眾 人 卻 一 齊 喊 著 說 ： 除 掉 這 個 人 ！ 釋 放 巴 拉 巴 給 我 們 ！
19 這 巴 拉 巴 是 因 在 城 裡 作 亂 殺 人 ， 下 在 監 裡 的 。
20 彼 拉 多 願 意 釋 放 耶 穌 ， 就 又 勸 解 他 們 。
21 無 奈 他 們 喊 著 說 ： 釘 他 十 字 架 ！ 釘 他 十 字 架 ！
22 彼 拉 多 第 三 次 對 他 們 說 ： 為 甚 麼 呢 ？ 這 人 作 了 甚 麼 惡 事 呢 ？ 我 並 沒 有 查 出 他 甚 麼 該 死 的 罪 來 。 所 以 ， 我 要 責 打 他 ， 把 他 釋 放 了 。
23 他 們 大 聲 催 逼 彼 拉 多 ， 求 他 把 耶 穌 釘 在 十 字 架 上 。 他 們 的 聲 音 就 得 了 勝 。
24 彼 拉 多 這 才 照 他 們 所 求 的 定 案 ，
25 把 他 們 所 求 的 那 作 亂 殺 人 、 下 在 監 裡 的 釋 放 了 ， 把 耶 穌 交 給 他 們 ， 任 憑 他 們 的 意 思 行 。
26 帶 耶 穌 去 的 時 候 ， 有 一 個 古 利 奈 人 西 門 ， 從 鄉 下 來 ； 他 們 就 抓 住 他 ， 把 十 字 架 擱 在 他 身 上 ， 叫 他 背 著 跟 隨 耶 穌 。
27 有 許 多 百 姓 跟 隨 耶 穌 ， 內 中 有 好 些 婦 女 ； 婦 女 們 為 他 號 咷 痛 哭 。
28 耶 穌 轉 身 對 他 們 說 ： 耶 路 撒 冷 的 女 子 ， 不 要 為 我 哭 ， 當 為 自 己 和 自 己 的 兒 女 哭 。
29 因 為 日 子 要 到 ， 人 必 說 ： 不 生 育 的 ， 和 未 曾 懷 胎 的 ， 未 曾 乳 養 嬰 孩 的 ， 有 福 了 ！
30 那 時 ， 人 要 向 大 山 說 ： 倒 在 我 們 身 上 ！ 向 小 山 說 ： 遮 蓋 我 們 ！
31 這 些 事 既 行 在 有 汁 水 的 樹 上 ， 那 枯 乾 的 樹 將 來 怎 麼 樣 呢 ？
32 又 有 兩 個 犯 人 ， 和 耶 穌 一 同 帶 來 處 死 。
33 到 了 一 個 地 方 ， 名 叫 髑 髏 地 ， 就 在 那 裡 把 耶 穌 釘 在 十 字 架 上 ， 又 釘 了 兩 個 犯 人 ： 一 個 在 左 邊 ， 一 個 在 右 邊 。
34 當 下 耶 穌 說 ： 父 阿 ！ 赦 免 他 們 ； 因 為 他 們 所 做 的 ， 他 們 不 曉 得 。 兵 丁 就 拈 鬮 分 他 的 衣 服 。
35 百 姓 站 在 那 裡 觀 看 。 官 府 也 嗤 笑 他 ， 說 ： 他 救 了 別 人 ； 他 若 是 基 督 ， 神 所 揀 選 的 ， 可 以 救 自 己 罷 ！
36 兵 丁 也 戲 弄 他 ， 上 前 拿 醋 送 給 他 喝 ，
37 說 ： 你 若 是 猶 太 人 的 王 ， 可 以 救 自 己 罷 ！
38 在 耶 穌 以 上 有 一 個 牌 子 （ 有 古 卷 在 此 有 ： 用 希 利 尼 、 羅 馬 、 希 伯 來 的 文 字 ） 寫 著 ： 這 是 猶 太 人 的 王 。
39 那 同 釘 的 兩 個 犯 人 有 一 個 譏 誚 他 ， 說 ： 你 不 是 基 督 麼 ？ 可 以 救 自 己 和 我 們 罷 ！
40 那 一 個 就 應 聲 責 備 他 ， 說 ： 你 既 是 一 樣 受 刑 的 ， 還 不 怕 神 麼 ？
41 我 們 是 應 該 的 ， 因 我 們 所 受 的 與 我 們 所 做 的 相 稱 ， 但 這 個 人 沒 有 做 過 一 件 不 好 的 事 。
42 就 說 ： 耶 穌 阿 ， 你 得 國 降 臨 的 時 候 ， 求 你 記 念 我 ！
43 耶 穌 對 他 說 ： 我 實 在 告 訴 你 ， 今 日 你 要 同 我 在 樂 園 裡 了 。
44 那 時 約 有 午 正 ， 遍 地 都 黑 暗 了 ， 直 到 申 初 ，
45 日 頭 變 黑 了 ； 殿 裡 的 幔 子 從 當 中 裂 為 兩 半 。
46 耶 穌 大 聲 喊 著 說 ： 父 阿 ！ 我 將 我 的 靈 魂 交 在 你 手 裡 。 說 了 這 話 ， 氣 就 斷 了 。
47 百 夫 長 看 見 所 成 的 事 ， 就 歸 榮 耀 與 神 ， 說 ： 這 真 是 個 義 人 ！
48 聚 集 觀 看 的 眾 人 見 了 這 所 成 的 事 都 捶 著 胸 回 去 了 。
49 還 有 一 切 與 耶 穌 熟 識 的 人 ， 和 從 加 利 利 跟 著 他 來 的 婦 女 們 ， 都 遠 遠 的 站 著 看 這 些 事 。
50 有 一 個 人 名 叫 約 瑟 ， 是 個 議 士 ， 為 人 善 良 公 義 ；
51 眾 人 所 謀 所 為 ， 他 並 沒 有 附 從 。 他 本 是 猶 太 、 亞 利 馬 太 城 裡 素 常 盼 望 神 國 的 人 。
52 這 人 去 見 彼 拉 多 ， 求 耶 穌 的 身 體 ，
53 就 取 下 來 ， 用 細 麻 布 裹 好 ， 安 放 在 石 頭 鑿 成 的 墳 墓 裡 ； 那 裡 頭 從 來 沒 有 葬 過 人 。
54 那 日 是 預 備 日 ， 安 息 日 也 快 到 了 。
55 那 些 從 加 利 利 和 耶 穌 同 來 的 婦 女 跟 在 後 面 ， 看 見 了 墳 墓 和 他 的 身 體 怎 樣 安 放 。
56 他 們 就 回 去 ， 預 備 了 香 料 香 膏 。 他 們 在 安 息 日 ， 便 遵 著 誡 命 安 息 了 。

23 At nagsitindig ang buong kapulungan (A)nila, at dinala siya sa harap ni Pilato.
2 At nangagpasimula silang isumbong siya, na sinasabi, Nasumpungan namin ang taong ito na pinasasama ang aming bansa, at (B)ipinagbabawal na bumuwis kay Cesar, at sinasabi (C)na siya rin nga ang Cristo, ang hari.
3 At tinanong siya ni Pilato, na nagsasabi, Ikaw baga ang Hari ng mga Judio? At sumagot siya at sinabi, Ikaw ang nagsasabi.
4 At sinabi ni Pilato sa mga pangulong saserdote at sa mga karamihan, (D)Wala akong masumpungang kasalanan sa taong ito.
5 Datapuwa't sila'y lalong nangagpipilit na sinasabi, Ginugulo niya ang bayan, na nagtuturo sa buong Judea, magbuhat sa Galilea hanggang sa dakong ito.
6 Datapuwa't nang ito'y marinig ni Pilato, ay itinanong niya kung ang taong yaon ay Galileo.
7 At nang maunawa na siya'y (E)nasasakop ni Herodes, ay ipinadala niya siya kay Herodes, na nang mga araw na yaon ay nasa Jerusalem din naman.
8 Nang makita nga ni Herodes si Jesus, ay nagalak siyang lubha: sapagka't malaon nang hinahangad niya na makita siya, sapagka't siya'y nakabalita tungkol sa kaniya; at siya'y naghihintay na makakita ng ilang himalang gawa niya.
9 At tinanong niya siya ng maraming salita; datapuwa't siya'y hindi sumagot ng anoman.
10 At ang mga pangulong saserdote at mga eskriba ay nagsitindig, na isinusumbong siyang mainam.
11 At si Herodes na kasama ang kaniyang mga kawal ay inalimura siya, at siya'y nilibak, (F)at sinuutan siya ng maringal na damit, at ipinabalik siya kay Pilato.
12 At nang araw ding yaon ay naging magkaibigan si Herodes at si Pilato: sapagka't dating sila'y nagkakagalit.
13 At tinipon ni Pilato ang mga pangulong saserdote, at ang mga pinuno at ang bayan,
14 At sinabi sa kanila, Dinala ninyo sa akin ang taong ito na gaya ng isang nagpapasama sa bayan: at narito, nang aking siyasatin siya sa harapan ninyo, ay wala akong nasumpungang anomang sala sa taong ito, tungkol sa mga bagay na isinusumbong ninyo laban sa kaniya;
15 Wala, kahit si Herodes man; sapagka't siya'y ipinabalik niyang muli sa atin; at narito, walang anomang karapatdapat sa kamatayan na ginawa niya.
16 Siya nga'y aking parurusahan, at siya'y pawawalan.[a](G)
18 Datapuwa't silang lahat ay nagsisigawang paminsan, na nangagsabi, Alisin mo ang taong ito, at pawalan mo sa amin si Barrabas:
19 Isa na ibinilanggo dahil sa isang paghihimagsik na ginawa sa bayan, at sa (H)pagpatay.
20 At si Pilato'y nagsalitang muli sa kanila, sa pagnanais na pawalan si Jesus;
21 Datapuwa't sila'y nagsigawan, na sinasabi, Ipako sa krus, ipako siya sa krus.
22 At kaniyang sinabi sa kanila, (I)na bilang ikatlo, Bakit, anong masama ang ginawa ng taong ito? Wala akong nasumpungang anomang kadahilanang ipatay sa kaniya: parurusahan ko nga siya, at siya'y pawawalan.
23 Datapuwa't pinipilit nilang hingin sa malalakas na tinig, na siya'y ipako sa krus. At nanaig ang kanilang mga tinig.
24 At hinatulan ni Pilato na gawin ang kanilang hinihingi,
25 At pinawalan niya yaong ibinilanggo dahil sa paghihimagsik at sa pagpatay, na siyang kanilang hiningi; datapuwa't ibinigay si Jesus sa kalooban nila.
26 At nang siya'y kanilang dalhin (J)ay kanilang pinigil ang isang Simong taga Cirene, na nanggaling sa bukid, at ipinasan sa kaniya ang krus, upang dalhin sa likuran ni Jesus.
27 At siya'y sinusundan ng isang makapal na karamihan sa bayan, at ng mga babaing nagiiyakan at nananambitan dahil sa kaniya.
28 Datapuwa't paglingon sa kanila ni Jesus ay sinabi, Mga anak na babae ng Jerusalem, huwag ninyo akong tangisan, kundi tangisan ninyo ang inyong sarili, at ang inyong mga anak.
29 Sapagka't (K)narito, darating ang mga araw, na kanilang sasabihin, Mapapalad ang mga baog, at ang mga tiyang kailan ma'y hindi nangagdalang-tao, at ang mga dibdib na kailan man ay hindi nangagpapasuso.
30 Kung magkagayon (L)ay magpapasimulang sabihin nila sa mga bundok, mangahulog kayo sa ibabaw namin; at sa mga burol, Takpan ninyo kami.
31 Sapagka't kung ginagawa ang mga bagay na ito sa (M)punong kahoy na sariwa, (N)ano kaya ang gagawin sa tuyo?
32 At dinala rin naman na (O)kasama niya, ang dalawang tampalasan, upang patayin.
33 At nang dumating sa dakong tinatawag na Bungo, ay kanilang ipinako roon siya sa krus, at ang mga tampalasan, isa sa kanan at isa sa kaliwa.
34 At sinabi ni Jesus, (P)Ama, (Q)patawarin mo sila; sapagka't (R)hindi nila nalalaman ang kanilang ginagawa. At (S)sa pagbabahabahagi nila ng kaniyang mga suot ay kanilang pinagsapalaranan.
35 At nakatayong nanonood (T)ang bayan. At tinutuya naman siya (U)ng mga pinuno, na sinasabi, Nagligtas siya sa mga iba; iligtas niya ang kaniyang sarili, kung ito ang Cristo ng Dios, ang hinirang niya.
36 At nililibak rin naman siya ng mga kawal, na nagsisilapit sa kaniya, na dinudulutan siya ng suka,
37 At sinabi, Kung ikaw ang Hari ng mga Judio, iligtas mo ang iyong sarili.
38 At (V)mayroon naman sa itaas niya na isang pamagat, ITO'Y ANG HARI NG MGA JUDIO.
39 At siya'y inalipusta ng (W)isa sa mga tampalasang nabibitin, na sinasabi, Hindi baga ikaw ang Cristo? iligtas mo ang iyong sarili at kami.
40 Datapuwa't sumagot ang isa, at pagsaway sa kaniya'y sinabi, Hindi ka pa baga natatakot sa Dios, yamang ikaw ay nasa gayon ding kaparusahan?
41 At tayo sa katotohanan ay ayon sa katuwiran; sapagka't tinanggap natin ang nararapat na kabayaran sa ating mga gawa; datapuwa't ang taong ito'y hindi gumagawa ng anomang masama.
42 At sinabi niya, Jesus, alalahanin mo ako, pagdating mo sa iyong kaharian.
43 At sinabi niya sa kaniya, Katotohanang sinasabi ko sa iyo, Ngayon ay kakasamahin kita sa (X)Paraiso.
44 At nang may oras na ikaanim na, ay nagdilim sa ibabaw ng buong lupa, hanggang sa oras na ikasiyam,
45 (Y)At nagdilim ang araw: at nahapak sa gitna (Z)ang tabing ng templo.
46 At si Jesus, na sumigaw ng malakas na tinig, ay nagsabi, (AA)Ama, sa mga kamay mo ay ipinagtatagubilin ko ang aking espiritu: at pagkasabi nito, ay nalagot ang hininga.
47 At nang (AB)makita ng senturion ang nangyari, ay niluwalhati niya ang Dios na nagsasabi, Tunay na ito'y isang taong matuwid.
48 At ang lahat ng mga karamihang nangagkatipon sa panonood nito, pagkakita nila sa mga bagay na nangyari ay (AC)nangagsiuwing dinadagukan ang kanilang mga dibdib.
49 At ang lahat ng mga kakilala niya (AD)at ang mga babaing sa kaniya'y nagsisunod buhat sa Galilea, at nangasa malayo na pinagmamasdan ang mga bagay na ito.
50 At narito ang isang lalaking (AE)nagngangalang Jose, na isang kasangguni, isang lalaking mabuti at matuwid
51 (Siya'y hindi umayon sa kanilang payo at gawa), isang lalaking taga Arimatea, bayan ng mga Judio, (AF)na naghihintay ng kaharian ng Dios;
52 Ang taong ito'y naparoon kay Pilato: at hiningi ang bangkay ni Jesus.
53 At ito'y ibinababa niya, at binalot ng isang kayong lino, at inilagay sa isang libingang hinukay sa bato, (AG)na doo'y wala pang nalilibing.
54 At noo'y araw ng (AH)Paghahanda, at nalalapit na ang sabbath.
55 At ang mga babae, (AI)na nagsisama sa kaniya mula sa Galilea, ay nagsisunod, at tiningnan ang libingan, at kung paano ang pagkalagay ng kaniyang bangkay.
56 At sila'y nagsiuwi, at nangaghanda ng mga pabango at mga unguento.
At nang araw ng sabbath sila'y nangagpahinga (AJ)ayon sa utos.

23 ¶ And the whole multitude of them arose and led him unto Pilate.
2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.
3 Then Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.
4 Then said Pilate to the princes of the priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.
5 And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place.
6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.
7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.
8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad, for he was desirous to see him of a long season because he had heard many things of him, and he hoped to see some sign done by him.
9 Then he questioned with him in many words, but he answered him nothing.
10 And the princes of the priests and the scribes stood and vehemently accused him.
11 And Herod with his court despised him and mocked him and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe and sent him again to Pilate.
12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together, for before they were at enmity between themselves.
13 ¶ Then Pilate, calling together the princes of the priests and the rulers and the people,
14 said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me as one that perverts the people; and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things of which ye accuse him;
15 no, nor yet Herod, for I sent you to him; and, behold, he has done nothing worthy of death.
16 I will therefore chastise him and release him.
17 (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)
18 And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas
19 (who for a certain sedition made in the city and for murder was cast into prison).
20 Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spoke again to them.
21 But they cried, saying, crucify him, crucify him. {Gr. stauroo – hang him on a stake}
22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil has he done? I have found no cause of death in him; I will therefore chastise him and let him go.
23 And they insisted with loud voices, asking that he be crucified. And the voices of them and of the princes of the priests prevailed.
24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be according to their request.
25 And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder had been cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
26 ¶ And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, {Gr. stauros – stake} that he might bear it after Jesus.
27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, who also bewailed and lamented him.
28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.
29 For, behold, the days are coming, in which they shall say, Blessed are the barren and the wombs that never bare and the breasts which never gave suck.
30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.
31 For if they do these things in the green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
32 ¶ And there were also two others, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.
33 And when they were come to the place, which is called of the Skull, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
34 Then Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment and cast lots.
35 And the people stood beholding. And the princes also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Christ, the chosen of God.
36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar
37 and saying, If thou art the king of the Jews, save thyself.
38 And a supion also was written over him in letters of Greek and Latin and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou art the Christ, save thyself and us.
40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing amiss.
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
44 ¶ And when it was about the sixth hour, there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
46 Then Jesus cried out with a loud voice and said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit; and having said thus, he gave up the spirit.
47 Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
48 And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, returned smiting their breasts.
49 And all his acquaintance and the women that had followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.
50 ¶ And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a senator; and he was a good man and just
51 (the same had not consented in the counsel nor in their deeds); he was of Arimathaea, a city of Judea, who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.
52 This man went unto Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
53 And he took it down and wrapped it in linen and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, where no one had ever been placed.
54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
55 And the women who had come with him from Galilee also followed after and beheld the sepulchre and how his body was laid.
56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
