22 Y ESTABA cerca el día de la fiesta de los ázimos, que se llama la Pascua.
2 Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas buscaban cómo le matarían; mas tenían miedo del pueblo.
3 Y entró Satanás en Judas, por sobrenombre Iscariote, el cual era uno del número de los doce;
4 Y fué, y habló con los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y con los magistrados, de cómo se lo entregaría.
5 Los cuales se holgaron, y concertaron de darle dinero.
6 Y prometió, y buscaba oportunidad para entregarle á ellos sin bulla.
7 Y vino el día de los ázimos, en el cual era necesario matar la pascua.
8 Y envió á Pedro y á Juan, diciendo: Id, aparejadnos la pascua para que comamos.
9 Y ellos le dijeron: ¿Dónde quieres que aparejemos?
10 Y él les dijo: He aquí cuando entrareis en la ciudad, os encontrará un hombre que lleva un cántaro de agua: seguidle hasta la casa donde entrare,
11 Y decid al padre de la familia de la casa: El Maestro te dice: ¿Dónde está el aposento donde tengo de comer la pascua con mis discípulos?
12 Entonces él os mostrará un gran cenáculo aderezado; aparejad allí.
13 Fueron pues, y hallaron como les había dicho; y aparejaron la pascua.
14 Y como fué hora, sentóse á la mesa, y con él los apóstoles.
15 Y les dijo: En gran manera he deseado comer con vosotros esta pascua antes que padezca;
16 Porque os digo que no comeré más de ella, hasta que se cumpla en el reino de Dios.
17 Y tomando el vaso, habiendo dado gracias, dijo: Tomad esto, y partidlo entre vosotros;
18 Porque os digo, que no beberé más del fruto de la vid, hasta que el reino de Dios venga.
19 Y tomando el pan, habiendo dado gracias, partió, y les dió, diciendo: Esto es mi cuerpo, que por vosotros es dado: haced esto en memoria de mí.
20 Asimismo también el vaso, después que hubo cenado, diciendo: Este vaso es el nuevo pacto en mi sangre, que por vosotros se derrama.
21 Con todo eso, he aquí la mano del que me entrega, conmigo en la mesa.
22 Y á la verdad el Hijo del hombre va, según lo que está determinado; empero ay de aquél hombre por el cual es entregado!
23 Ellos entonces comenzaron á preguntar entre sí, cuál de ellos sería el que había de hacer esto.
24 Y hubo entre ellos una contienda, quién de ellos parecía ser el mayor.
25 Entonces él les dijo: Los reyes de las gentes se enseñorean de ellas; y los que sobre ellas tienen potestad, son llamados bienhechores:
26 Mas vosotros, no así: antes el que es mayor entre vosotros, sea como el más mozo; y el que es príncipe, como el que sirve.
27 Porque, ¿cuál es mayor, el que se sienta á la mesa, ó el que sirve? ¿No es el que se sienta á la mesa? Y yo soy entre vosotros como el que sirve.
28 Empero vosotros sois los que habéis permanecido conmigo en mis tentaciones:
29 Yo pues os ordeno un reino, como mi Padre me lo ordenó á mí,
30 Para que comáis y bebáis en mi mesa en mi reino, y os sentéis sobre tronos juzgando á las doce tribus de Israel.
31 Dijo también el Señor: Simón, Simón, he aquí Satanás os ha pedido para zarandaros como á trigo;
32 Mas yo he rogado por ti que tu fe no falte: y tú, una vez vuelto, confirma á tus hermanos.
33 Y él le dijo: Señor, pronto estoy á ir contigo aun á cárcel y á muerte.
34 Y él dijo: Pedro, te digo que el gallo no cantará hoy antes que tú niegues tres veces que me conoces.
35 Y á ellos dijo: Cuando os envié sin bolsa, y sin alforja, y sin zapatos, ¿os faltó algo? Y ellos dijeron: Nada.
36 Y les dijo: Pues ahora, el que tiene bolsa, tómela, y también la alforja, y el que no tiene, venda su capa y compre espada.
37 Porque os digo, que es necesario que se cumpla todavía en mí aquello que está escrito: Y con los malos fué contado: porque lo que está escrito de mí, cumplimiento tiene.
38 Entonces ellos dijeron: Señor, he aquí dos espadas. Y él les dijo: Basta.
39 Y saliendo, se fué, como solía, al monte de las Olivas; y sus discípulos también le siguieron.
40 Y como llegó á aquel lugar, les dijo: Orad que no entréis en tentación.
41 Y él se apartó de ellos como un tiro de piedra; y puesto de rodillas oró,
42 Diciendo: Padre, si quieres, pasa este vaso de mí; empero no se haga mi voluntad, sino la tuya.
43 Y le apareció un ángel del cielo confortándole.
44 Y estando en agonía, oraba más intensamente: y fué su sudor como grandes gotas de sangre que caían hasta la tierra.
45 Y como se levantó de la oración, y vino á sus discípulos, hallólos durmiendo de tristeza;
46 Y les dijo: ¿Por qué dormís? Levantaos, y orad que no entréis en tentación.
47 Estando él aún hablando, he aquí una turba; y el que se llamaba Judas, uno de los doce, iba delante de ellos; y llegóse á Jesús para besarlo.
48 Entonces Jesús le dijo: Judas, ¿con beso entregas al Hijo del hombre?
49 Y viendo los que estaban con él lo que había de ser, le dijeron: Señor, ¿heriremos á cuchillo?
50 Y uno de ellos hirió á un siervo del príncipe de los sacerdotes, y le quitó la oreja derecha.
51 Entonces respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Dejad hasta aquí. Y tocando su oreja, le sanó.
52 Y Jesús dijo á los que habían venido á él, los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los magistrados del templo, y los ancianos: ¿Como á ladrón habéis salido con espadas y con palos?
53 Habiendo estado con vosotros cada día en el templo, no extendisteis las manos contra mí; mas ésta es vuestra hora, y la potestad de las tinieblas.
54 Y prendiéndole trajéronle, y metiéronle en casa del príncipe de los sacerdotes. Y Pedro le seguía de lejos.
55 Y habiendo encendido fuego en medio de la sala, y sentándose todos alrededor, se sentó también Pedro entre ellos.
56 Y como una criada le vió que estaba sentado al fuego, fijóse en él, y dijo: Y éste con él estaba.
57 Entonces él lo negó, diciendo: Mujer, no le conozco.
58 Y un poco después, viéndole otro, dijo: Y tú de ellos eras. Y Pedro dijo: Hombre, no soy.
59 Y como una hora pasada otro afirmaba, diciendo: Verdaderamente también éste estaba con él, porque es Galileo.
60 Y Pedro dijo: Hombre, no sé qué dices. Y luego, estando él aún hablando, el gallo cantó.
61 Entonces, vuelto el Señor, miró á Pedro: y Pedro se acordó de la palabra del Señor como le había dicho: Antes que el gallo cante, me negarás tres veces.
62 Y saliendo fuera Pedro, lloró amargamente.
63 Y los hombres que tenían á Jesús, se burlaban de él hiriéndole;
64 Y cubriéndole, herían su rostro, y preguntábanle, diciendo: Profetiza quién es el que te hirió.
65 Y decían otras muchas cosas injuriándole.
66 Y cuando fué de día, se juntaron los ancianos del pueblo, y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas, y le trajeron á su concilio,
67 Diciendo: ¿Eres tú el Cristo? dínos lo. Y les dijo: Si os lo dijere, no creeréis;
68 Y también si os preguntare, no me responderéis, ni me soltaréis:
69 Mas después de ahora el Hijo del hombre se asentará á la diestra de la potencia de Dios.
70 Y dijeron todos: ¿Luego tú eres Hijo de Dios? Y él les dijo: Vosotros decís que yo soy.
71 Entonces ellos dijeron: ¿Qué más testimonio deseamos? porque nosotros lo hemos oído de su boca.

The Chief Priests and Scribes Plot to Kill Jesus
22 Now the feast of Unleavened Bread (which is called Passover) was drawing near. 2 And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they could destroy him, because they were afraid of the people.
Judas Arranges to Betray Jesus
3 And Satan entered into Judas, the one called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve. 4 And he went away and[a] discussed with the chief priests and officers of the temple guard how he could betray him to them. 5 And they were delighted, and came to an agreement with him to give him[b] money. 6 And he agreed, and began looking[c] for a favorable opportunity to betray him to them apart from the crowd.
Jesus’ Final Passover with the Disciples
7 And the day of the feast of Unleavened Bread came, on which it was necessary for the Passover lamb to be sacrificed. 8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and[d] prepare the Passover for us, so that we may eat it.[e] 9 So they said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare it?”[f] 10 And he said to them, “Behold, when[g] you have entered into the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters. 11 And you will say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’ 12 And he will show you a large furnished[h] upstairs room. Make preparations there.” 13 So they went and[i] found everything[j] just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
The Lord’s Supper
14 And when the hour came, he reclined at the table, and the apostles with him. 15 And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired[k] to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you that I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 17 And he took in hand a cup, and[l] after[m] giving thanks he said, “Take this and share it[n] among yourselves. 18 For I tell you,[o] from now on I will not drink of the product of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
19 And he took bread, and[p] after[q] giving thanks, he broke it[r] and gave it[s] to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And in the same way the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood which is poured out for you.
21 “But behold, the hand of the one who is betraying me is with me on the table! 22 For the Son of Man is going according to what has been determined, but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!” 23 And they began to debate with one another who then of them it could be who was going to do this.
A Dispute About Who Is Greatest
24 And a dispute also occurred among them as to which of them was recognized as being greatest. 25 So he said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles[t] lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called benefactors. 26 But you are not to be like this! But the one who is greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the one who leads like the one who serves. 27 For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at the table? But I am in your midst as the one who serves.
28 “And you are the ones who have remained[u] with me in my trials, 29 and I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred on me, 30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial
31 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to sift you like wheat, 32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail. And you, when[v] once you have turned back,[w] strengthen your brothers.” 33 But he said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!” 34 And he said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know me!”
The Two Swords
35 And he said to them, “When I sent you out without a money bag and a traveler’s bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?”[x] And they said, “Nothing.” 36 And he said to them, “But now the one who has a money bag must take it,[y] and likewise a traveler’s bag. And the one who does not have a sword must sell his cloak and buy one. 37 For I tell you that this that is written must be fulfilled in me: ‘And he was counted with the criminals.’[z] For indeed, what is written[aa] about me is being fulfilled.”[ab] 38 So they said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords!” And he said to them, “It is adequate.”
The Prayer in Gethsemane
39 And he went away and[ac] proceeded, according to his[ad] custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed him. 40 And when[ae] he came to the place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not enter into temptation.” 41 And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw and knelt down[af] and[ag] began to pray,[ah] 42 saying, “Father, if you are willing, take away this cup from me. 47 While[an] he was still speaking, behold, there came a crowd, and the one named Judas, one of the twelve, leading them. And he approached Jesus to kiss him. 48 But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” 49 And when[ao] those around him saw what was about to happen, they said, “Lord, should we strike with the sword?” 50 And a certain one of them struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his right ear. 51 But Jesus answered and[ap] said, “Stop! No more of this!”[aq] And he touched his[ar] ear and[as] healed him. 52 And Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders who had come out against him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs, as against a robber? 53 Every day when[at] I was with you in the temple courts,[au] you did not stretch out your[av] hands against me! But this is your hour and the domain of darkness!”

54 And they arrested him and[aw] led him[ax] away and brought him[ay] into the house of the high priest. But Peter was following at a distance. 55 And when they[az] had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them. 56 And a certain female slave, seeing him sitting in the light and looking intently at him, said, “This man also was with him!” 57 But he denied it,[ba] saying, “Woman, I do not know him!” 58 And after a short time another person saw him and[bb] said, “You also are one of them!” But Peter said, “Man, I am not!” 59 And after[bc] about one hour had passed, someone else was insisting, saying, “In truth this man also was with him, because he is also a Galilean!” 60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about!” And immediately, while[bd] he was still speaking, a rooster crowed. 61 And the Lord turned around and[be] looked intently at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord,[bf] how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.” 62 And he went outside and[bg] wept bitterly.
63 And the men who were guarding him began to mock[bh] him while[bi] they beat him,[bj] 64 and after[bk] blindfolding him they repeatedly asked[bl] him,[bm] saying, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck you?” 65 And they were saying many other things against him, reviling him.[bn]

66 And when day came, the council of elders of the people gathered, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away to their Sanhedrin,[bo] 67 saying, “If you are the Christ, tell us!” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you will never believe, 68 and if I ask you,[bp] you will never answer! 69 But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.” 70 So they all said, “Are you then the Son of God?” And he said to them, “You say that I am.” 71 And they said, “Why do we have need of further testimony? For we ourselves have heard it[bq] from his mouth!”

39 耶稣照常到橄榄山去,门徒也跟着他。 40 到了那里,他对门徒说:“你们应当祷告,免得陷入试探。” 41 于是耶稣离开他们约有扔一块石头那么远,跪下祷告说: 42 “父啊,如果你愿意,就把这杯拿走!但不要成就我的意思,只要成就你的旨意。”(有些抄本有第43、44节:“有一位天使从天上显现,加给他力量。耶稣非常伤痛,祷告更加恳切,汗如大血点滴在地上。”) 45 他祷告完了,就起来到门徒那里,看见他们因为忧愁都睡着了, 46 就说:“你们为甚么睡觉呢?起来祷告!免得陷入试探。”
耶稣被捕(F)
47 耶稣还在说话的时候,来了一群人,十二门徒中的犹大走在前头,到了耶稣跟前要用嘴亲他。 48 耶稣对他说:“犹大,你用亲吻作暗号出卖人子吗?” 49 左右的人见了,就说:“主啊,我们用刀砍好吗?” 50 他们中间有一个人砍了大祭司的仆人一刀,削掉他的右耳。 51 耶稣说:“由他们吧!”就摸那人的耳朵,医好了他。 52 耶稣对那些前来捉拿他的祭司长、守殿官和长老说:“你们带着刀棒出来,把我当作强盗捉拿吗? 53 我天天跟你们在殿里,你们不向我下手;但现在是你们的时候了,也是黑暗掌权的时候了。”
彼得三次不认主(G)
54 他们拿住耶稣,押到大祭司家里,彼得远远地跟着。 55 他们在院内生了火,一同坐着,彼得也坐在他们中间。 56 有一个使女,见他面向火光坐着,就注视他,说:“这人是和他一伙的。” 57 彼得却否认,说:“你这个女人,我不认得他。” 58 不久,另一个人看见他,就说:“你也是他们中间的一个。”彼得说:“你这个人,我不是。” 59 大约过了一小时,又有一个人肯定地说:“这人真是和他一伙的,因为他也是加利利人。” 60 彼得说:“你这个人,我不知道你说的是甚么!”他还在说话的时候,鸡就叫了。 61 主转过身来看彼得,彼得就想起主对他说过的话:“今天鸡叫以前,你要三次说不认得我。” 62 他就出去痛哭。
公议会审问耶稣(H)
63 看管耶稣的人戏弄他,打他, 64 蒙住他的眼睛问他:“你说预言吧,说打你的是谁。” 65 他们还说了许多别的辱骂他的话。
66 天一亮,民间的长老、祭司长和经学家就都聚集,把他带到他们的公议会里,说: 67 “你若是基督,就告诉我们吧。”耶稣说:“就算我告诉你们,你们也决不相信。 68 如果我问你们,你们也决不回答。 69 从今以后,人子要坐在 神权能的右边。” 70 他们说:“那么你是 神的儿子吗?”耶稣说:“你们说了,我是。” 71 他们说:“我们还需要甚么见证呢?我们亲自听见他所说的话了。”
