A viúva e o juiz
18 Jesus contou a seguinte parábola, mostrando aos discípulos que deviam orar sempre e nunca desanimar:
2 — Em certa cidade havia um juiz que não temia a Deus e não respeitava ninguém. 3 Nessa cidade morava uma viúva que sempre o procurava para pedir justiça, dizendo: “Ajude-me e julgue o meu caso contra o meu adversário!”
4 — Durante muito tempo o juiz não quis julgar o caso da viúva, mas afinal pensou assim: “É verdade que eu não temo a Deus e também não respeito ninguém. 5 Porém, como esta viúva continua me aborrecendo, vou dar a sentença a favor dela. Se eu não fizer isso, ela não vai parar de vir me amolar até acabar comigo.”
6 E o Senhor continuou:
— Prestem atenção naquilo que aquele juiz desonesto disse. 7 Será, então, que Deus não vai fazer justiça a favor do seu próprio povo, que grita por socorro dia e noite? Será que ele vai demorar para ajudá-lo? 8 Eu afirmo a vocês que ele julgará a favor do seu povo e fará isso bem depressa. Mas, quando o Filho do Homem vier, será que vai encontrar fé na terra?
O fariseu e o cobrador de impostos
9 Jesus também contou esta parábola para os que achavam que eram muito bons e desprezavam os outros:
10 — Dois homens foram ao Templo para orar. Um era fariseu, e o outro, cobrador de impostos. 11 O fariseu ficou de pé e orou sozinho, assim: “Ó Deus, eu te agradeço porque não sou avarento, nem desonesto, nem imoral como as outras pessoas. Agradeço-te também porque não sou como este cobrador de impostos. 12 Jejuo duas vezes por semana e te dou a décima parte de tudo o que ganho.”
13 — Mas o cobrador de impostos ficou de longe e nem levantava o rosto para o céu. Batia no peito e dizia: “Ó Deus, tem pena de mim, pois sou pecador!”
14 E Jesus terminou, dizendo:
— Eu afirmo a vocês que foi este homem, e não o outro, que voltou para casa em paz com Deus. Porque quem se engrandece será humilhado, e quem se humilha será engrandecido.
Jesus e as crianças(A)
15 Depois disso, algumas pessoas levaram as suas crianças a Jesus para que ele as abençoasse, mas os discípulos viram isso e repreenderam aquelas pessoas. 16 Então Jesus chamou as crianças para perto de si e disse:
— Deixem que as crianças venham a mim e não proíbam que elas façam isso, pois o Reino de Deus é das pessoas que são como estas crianças. 17 Eu afirmo a vocês que isto é verdade: quem não receber o Reino de Deus como uma criança nunca entrará nele.
O moço rico(B)
18 Certo líder judeu perguntou a Jesus:
— Bom Mestre, o que devo fazer para conseguir a vida eterna?
19 Jesus respondeu:
— Por que você me chama de bom? Só Deus é bom, e mais ninguém. 20 Você conhece os mandamentos: “Não cometa adultério, não mate, não roube, não dê falso testemunho contra ninguém, respeite o seu pai e a sua mãe.”
21 O homem respondeu:
— Desde criança eu tenho obedecido a todos esses mandamentos.
22 Quando Jesus ouviu isso, disse:
— Falta mais uma coisa para você fazer. Venda tudo o que você tem, e dê o dinheiro aos pobres, e assim você terá riquezas no céu. Depois venha e me siga.
23 Quando o homem ouviu isso, ficou muito triste, pois era riquíssimo. 24 Vendo a tristeza dele, Jesus disse:
— Como é difícil os ricos entrarem no Reino de Deus! 25 É mais difícil um rico entrar no Reino de Deus do que um camelo passar pelo fundo de uma agulha.
26 Os que ouviram isso perguntaram:
— Então, quem é que pode se salvar?
27 Jesus respondeu:
— O que é impossível para os seres humanos é possível para Deus.
28 Aí Pedro disse:
— Veja! Nós deixamos a nossa família e seguimos o senhor.
29 Jesus respondeu:
— Eu afirmo a vocês que isto é verdade: aquele que, por causa do Reino de Deus, deixar casa, esposa, irmãos, parentes ou filhos 30 receberá ainda nesta vida muito mais e, no futuro, receberá a vida eterna.
Jesus anuncia outra vez a sua morte e a sua ressurreição(C)
31 Jesus levou os doze discípulos para um lado e disse:
— Escutem! Nós estamos indo para Jerusalém, onde vai acontecer tudo o que os profetas escreveram sobre o Filho do Homem. 32 Ele será entregue aos não judeus, e estes vão zombar dele, insultá-lo, cuspir nele 33 e bater nele; e depois o matarão. Mas no terceiro dia ele ressuscitará.
34 Os discípulos não entenderam nada do que Jesus disse. O que essas palavras queriam dizer estava escondido deles, e eles não sabiam do que Jesus estava falando.
Jesus cura um mendigo cego(D)
35 Jesus já estava chegando perto da cidade de Jericó. Acontece que um cego estava sentado na beira do caminho, pedindo esmola. 36 Quando ouviu a multidão passando, ele perguntou o que era aquilo.
37 — É Jesus de Nazaré que está passando! — responderam.
38 Aí o cego começou a gritar:
— Jesus, Filho de Davi, tenha pena de mim!
39 As pessoas que iam na frente o repreenderam e mandaram que ele calasse a boca. Mas ele gritava ainda mais:
— Filho de Davi, tenha pena de mim!
40 Jesus parou e mandou que trouxessem o cego. Quando ele chegou perto, Jesus perguntou:
41 — O que é que você quer que eu faça?
— Senhor, eu quero ver de novo! — respondeu ele.
42 Então Jesus disse:
— Veja! Você está curado porque teve fé.
43 No mesmo instante o homem começou a ver e, dando glória a Deus, foi seguindo Jesus. E todos os que viram isso começaram a louvar a Deus.

18 Желая показать ученикам, что следует всегда молиться и не унывать, Иса рассказал им такую притчу:
2 – В одном городе был судья, который не боялся Аллаха и не стыдился людей. 3 В том же городе жила вдова, которая постоянно ходила к нему и умоляла: «Защити меня от моего противника». 4 Некоторое время судья ей отказывал, но в конце концов решил: «Пусть я Аллаха не боюсь и с людьми не считаюсь, 5 но так как эта вдова постоянно надоедает мне, то я разрешу её тяжбу, иначе она замучит меня своими просьбами».
6 И Повелитель сказал:
– Слышите, что сказал несправедливый судья? 7 Так неужели Аллах не защитит Своих избранных, которые взывают к Нему день и ночь? Неужели Он будет медлить с помощью? 8 Говорю вам: Он без промедления защитит их. Но когда Ниспосланный как Человек придёт, то найдёт ли Он веру на земле?
Притча о блюстителе Закона и сборщике налогов
9 Тем, кто был уверен в собственной праведности и с презрением смотрел на других, Иса рассказал такую притчу:
10 – Два человека пришли во двор храма помолиться. Один из них был блюститель Закона, а другой – сборщик налогов. 11 Блюститель Закона, встав, молился о себе так: «О Аллах, благодарю Тебя, что я не такой, как другие люди: воры, мошенники, неверные супруги или как этот сборщик налогов. 12 Я пощусь два раза в неделю и даю в храм десятую часть со всякого дохода». 13 А сборщик налогов, стоя вдали, не смел даже глаз к небу поднять, но бил себя в грудь и говорил: «О Аллах, будь милостив ко мне, грешнику». 14 Говорю вам, что именно этот человек пошёл домой оправданным перед Аллахом, а не первый. Потому что каждый возвышающий себя будет унижен, а каждый принижающий себя будет возвышен.
Благословение младенцев(A)
15 Некоторые люди приносили к Исе даже младенцев, чтобы Он прикоснулся к ним и благословил. Ученики же, увидев это, не подпускали их. 16 Но Иса попросил поднести к Нему младенцев и сказал:
– Пусть дети приходят ко Мне, не запрещайте им, потому что подобные им – подданные Царства Аллаха. 17 Говорю вам истину: кто не примет Царство Аллаха, как ребёнок, тот не войдёт в него.
Разговор с богатым начальником(B)
18 Один начальник спросил Его:
– Благой Учитель, что мне делать, чтобы наследовать вечную жизнь?
19 – Почему ты называешь Меня благим? – ответил Иса. – Никто не благ, кроме одного Аллаха. 20 Ты знаешь повеления: «не нарушай супружескую верность», «не убивай», «не кради», «не лжесвидетельствуй», «почитай отца и мать»[a]…
21 – Всё это я соблюдаю ещё с дней моей юности, – сказал он. 22 Услышав это, Иса сказал ему:
– Одного тебе ещё не хватает. Продай всё, что у тебя есть, и раздай деньги бедным, и тогда у тебя будет сокровище на небесах. Потом приходи и следуй за Мной.
23 Когда начальник услышал это, он опечалился, потому что был очень богат. 24 Иса посмотрел на него и сказал:
– Как трудно богатым войти в Царство Аллаха! 25 Легче верблюду пройти сквозь игольное ушко, чем богатому войти в Царство Аллаха.
26 Те, кто это слышал, спросили:
– Кто же тогда вообще может быть спасён?
27 Иса сказал:
– Невозможное человеку возможно Аллаху.
28 Тогда Петир сказал:
– Вот, мы оставили всё, что у нас было, и пошли за Тобой.
29 Иса сказал им:
– Говорю вам истину, каждый, кто оставил дом, или жену, или братьев, или родителей, или детей ради Царства Аллаха, 30 получит во много раз больше в этой жизни, а в будущем – жизнь вечную.
Иса Масих в третий раз говорит о Своей смерти и воскресении(C)
31 Иса, отведя двенадцать учеников в сторону, сказал им:
– Вот, мы идём в Иерусалим, и там исполнится всё написанное пророками о Ниспосланном как Человек. 32 Он будет отдан язычникам (римлянам), те будут глумиться над Ним, унижать Его, плевать в Него, 33 бичевать и затем убьют. Но на третий день Он воскреснет.
34 Ученики ничего из этого не поняли; всё, что Он сказал, было для них закрыто, и они не догадывались, что Он имел в виду.
Исцеление слепого нищего(D)
35 Когда Иса подходил к Иерихону, у дороги сидел слепой и просил милостыню. 36 Услышав, что мимо идёт толпа, он спросил, что происходит.
37 – Идёт Иса из Назарета, – сказали ему. 38 Тогда слепой закричал:
– Иса, Сын Давуда[b]! Сжалься надо мной!
39 Те, что шли впереди, стали говорить, чтобы он замолчал, но слепой кричал ещё громче:
– Сын Давуда, сжалься надо мной!
40 Иса остановился и велел, чтобы этого человека подвели к Нему. Когда тот подошёл, Иса спросил его:
41 – Что ты хочешь, чтобы Я сделал для тебя?
– Повелитель, я хочу видеть, – ответил слепой.
42 Иса сказал ему:
– Прозри! Твоя вера исцелила тебя.
43 Слепой сразу же обрёл зрение и пошёл за Исой, славя Аллаха. И весь народ, увидев это, также восхвалял Аллаха.

The Parable of the Persistent Widow
18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.(A) 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice(B) against my adversary.’
4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”(C)
6 And the Lord(D) said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out(E) to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man(F) comes,(G) will he find faith on the earth?”
The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector
9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness(H) and looked down on everyone else,(I) Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray,(J) one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself(K) and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast(L) twice a week and give a tenth(M) of all I get.’
13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast(N) and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’(O)
14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”(P)
The Little Children and Jesus(Q)
15 People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 17 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child(R) will never enter it.”
The Rich and the Kingdom of God(S)
18 A certain ruler asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”(T)
19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. 20 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’[a]”(U)
21 “All these I have kept since I was a boy,” he said.
22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor,(V) and you will have treasure in heaven.(W) Then come, follow me.”
23 When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was very wealthy. 24 Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!(X) 25 Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
26 Those who heard this asked, “Who then can be saved?”
27 Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”(Y)
28 Peter said to him, “We have left all we had to follow you!”(Z)
29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God 30 will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come(AA) eternal life.”(AB)
Jesus Predicts His Death a Third Time(AC)
31 Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, “We are going up to Jerusalem,(AD) and everything that is written by the prophets(AE) about the Son of Man(AF) will be fulfilled. 32 He will be delivered over to the Gentiles.(AG) They will mock him, insult him and spit on him; 33 they will flog him(AH) and kill him.(AI) On the third day(AJ) he will rise again.”(AK)
34 The disciples did not understand any of this. Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what he was talking about.(AL)
A Blind Beggar Receives His Sight(AM)
35 As Jesus approached Jericho,(AN) a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. 36 When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. 37 They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”(AO)
38 He called out, “Jesus, Son of David,(AP) have mercy(AQ) on me!”
39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”(AR)
40 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you?”
“Lord, I want to see,” he replied.
42 Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”(AS) 43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.(AT)
