Parábola de la oveja perdida
15 Todos los recaudadores de impuestos[a](A) y los pecadores se acercaban a Jesús[b] para oírle; 2 y los fariseos y los escribas murmuraban, diciendo: Este recibe a los pecadores y come con ellos(B).
3 Entonces Él les refirió esta parábola, diciendo: 4 ¿(C)Qué hombre de vosotros, si tiene cien ovejas y una de ellas se pierde, no deja las noventa y nueve en el campo[c] y va tras la que está perdida hasta que la halla? 5 Al encontrarla, la pone sobre sus hombros, gozoso; 6 y cuando llega a su casa, reúne a los amigos y a los vecinos, diciéndoles: «Alegraos conmigo, porque he hallado mi oveja que se había perdido». 7 Os digo que de la misma manera, habrá más gozo en el cielo por un pecador que se arrepiente que por noventa y nueve justos que no necesitan arrepentimiento.
Parábola de la moneda perdida
8 ¿O qué mujer, si tiene diez monedas de plata[d] y pierde una moneda, no enciende una lámpara y barre la casa y busca con cuidado hasta hallarla? 9 Cuando la encuentra, reúne a las amigas y vecinas, diciendo: «Alegraos conmigo porque he hallado la moneda que había perdido». 10 De la misma manera, os digo, hay gozo en la presencia de los ángeles de Dios por un pecador que se arrepiente(D).
Parábola del hijo pródigo
11 Y Jesús dijo: Cierto hombre tenía dos hijos; 12 y el menor de ellos le dijo al padre: «Padre, dame la parte de la hacienda que me corresponde(E)». Y él les repartió sus bienes[e](F). 13 No muchos días después, el hijo menor, juntándolo todo, partió a un país lejano, y allí malgastó su hacienda viviendo perdidamente. 14 Cuando lo había gastado todo, vino una gran hambre en aquel país, y comenzó a pasar necesidad. 15 Entonces fue y se acercó[f] a uno de los ciudadanos de aquel país, y él lo mandó a sus campos a apacentar cerdos. 16 Y deseaba llenarse el estómago[g] de[h] las algarrobas que comían los cerdos, pero nadie le daba nada. 17 Entonces, volviendo en sí, dijo: «¡Cuántos de los trabajadores de mi padre tienen pan de sobra, pero yo aquí perezco de hambre! 18 Me levantaré e iré a mi padre, y le diré: “Padre, he pecado contra el cielo y ante ti; 19 ya no soy digno de ser llamado hijo tuyo; hazme como uno de tus trabajadores”». 20 Y levantándose, fue a su padre. Y cuando todavía estaba lejos, su padre lo vio y sintió compasión por él, y corrió, se echó sobre su cuello y lo besó[i](G). 21 Y el hijo le dijo: «Padre, he pecado contra el cielo y ante ti; ya no soy digno de ser llamado hijo tuyo[j]». 22 Pero el padre dijo a sus siervos: «Pronto; traed la mejor ropa y vestidlo(H), y poned un anillo en su mano(I) y sandalias en los pies; 23 y traed el becerro engordado, matadlo, y comamos y regocijémonos; 24 porque este hijo mío estaba muerto y ha vuelto a la vida; estaba perdido y ha sido hallado(J)». Y comenzaron a regocijarse. 25 Y su hijo mayor estaba en el campo, y cuando vino y se acercó a la casa, oyó música y danzas. 26 Y llamando a uno de los criados, le preguntó qué era todo aquello. 27 Y él le dijo: «Tu hermano ha venido, y tu padre ha matado el becerro engordado porque lo ha recibido sano y salvo». 28 Entonces él se enojó y no quería entrar. Salió su padre y le rogaba que entrara. 29 Pero respondiendo él, le dijo al padre: «Mira, por tantos años te he servido y nunca he desobedecido ninguna orden tuya, y sin embargo, nunca me has dado un cabrito para regocijarme con mis amigos; 30 pero cuando vino este hijo tuyo, que ha consumido tus bienes[k] con rameras(K), mataste para él el becerro engordado». 31 Y él le dijo: «Hijo mío, tú siempre has estado[l] conmigo, y todo lo mío es tuyo. 32 Pero era necesario hacer fiesta y regocijarnos, porque este, tu hermano, estaba muerto y ha vuelto a la vida; estaba perdido y ha sido hallado(L)».

15 Khi ấy tất cả những người thu thuế và những kẻ tội lỗi đến gần Ngài để nghe Ngài giảng dạy. 2 Thấy vậy những người Pha-ri-si và các thầy dạy giáo luật lầm bầm rằng, “Người này tiếp những kẻ tội lỗi và ăn uống với chúng.” 3 Vì vậy Ngài kể cho họ ngụ ngôn này:
4 “Ai trong các ngươi có một trăm con chiên, nếu bị mất một con, mà không để chín mươi chín con kia trong đồng, và đi tìm con bị mất cho đến khi tìm được chăng? 5 Khi đã tìm được rồi, người ấy vui mừng vác nó lên vai mang về. 6 Khi về đến nhà, người ấy mời bạn bè và láng giềng đến và nói, ‘Xin chung vui với tôi, vì tôi đã tìm được con chiên bị mất.’
7 Cũng vậy, Ta nói với các ngươi, trên thiên đàng sẽ vui mừng về một người tội lỗi ăn năn hơn về chín mươi chín người ngay lành không cần ăn năn.”

8 “Hoặc có người phụ nữ nào có mười đồng bạc, [a] nếu bị mất một đồng mà lại không thắp đèn, quét nhà, và tìm kiếm kỹ càng cho đến khi tìm được chăng? 9 Khi đã tìm được rồi, người ấy mời bạn bè và láng giềng đến và nói, ‘Xin chung vui với tôi, vì tôi đã tìm được đồng bạc bị mất.’
10 Cũng vậy, Ta nói với các ngươi, sẽ có vui mừng trước mặt các thiên sứ của Ðức Chúa Trời về một người tội lỗi ăn năn.”

11 Ngài lại nói, “Một người kia có hai con trai. 12 Người con thứ nói với cha, ‘Thưa cha, xin cha cho con phần gia tài sẽ thuộc về con.’ Người cha chia gia tài cho hai con. 13 Chẳng bao lâu sau đó, người con thứ tóm thâu tất cả những gì thuộc về mình và lên đường đi phương xa. Ở đó anh tiêu xài phung phí tài sản của mình và sống rất phóng đãng. 14 Sau khi anh đã tiêu sạch mọi sự mình có, cả xứ gặp phải một nạn đói rất trầm trọng, và anh bắt đầu lâm vào cảnh túng thiếu. 15 Anh xin đi làm thuê cho một người bản xứ. Người ấy sai anh ra đồng chăn heo. 16 Anh ao ước được lấy vỏ đậu của heo ăn để ăn cho no, nhưng người ta không cho. 17 Bấy giờ anh mới giác ngộ và nói, ‘Bao nhiêu người làm thuê ở nhà cha ta có cơm bánh ăn không hết, còn ta ở đây lại bị chết đói thể này.’ 18 Ta sẽ đứng dậy, trở về với cha ta, và thưa với cha ta rằng, ‘Thưa cha, con đã phạm tội với Trời và với cha. 19 Con không xứng đáng được gọi là con của cha nữa. Xin cha cho con được như một người làm thuê của cha.’
20 Ðoạn anh đứng dậy và trở về với cha anh. Trong khi anh còn ở đàng xa, người cha đã trông thấy và động lòng thương xót. Ông chạy đến ôm lấy anh và hôn anh. 21 Người con nói với ông, ‘Thưa cha, con đã phạm tội với Trời và với cha. Con không xứng đáng được gọi là con của cha nữa.’ 22 Nhưng người cha bảo các đầy tớ của ông, ‘Hãy mau mau lấy áo choàng tốt nhất mặc cho cậu, hãy đeo nhẫn vào ngón tay cậu, hãy lấy giày mang vào chân cậu, 23 và hãy bắt một bò con mập làm thịt để chúng ta ăn mừng, 24 vì con của tôi đây tưởng đã chết mà bây giờ còn sống, tưởng đã mất mà bây giờ đã tìm lại được.’ Thế là họ bắt đầu ăn mừng.
25 Lúc ấy người con cả của ông đang ở ngoài đồng. Khi anh về gần đến nhà và nghe có tiếng đàn ca nhảy múa, 26 anh gọi một đầy tớ đến và hỏi xem trong nhà có chuyện gì. 27 Người ấy đáp, ‘Em cậu vừa trở về. Cha cậu đã bắt bò con mập làm thịt, vì thấy cậu ấy trở về bình an mạnh khỏe.’ 28 Người con cả liền nổi giận và không chịu vào nhà; vì thế cha anh đi ra và khuyên anh. 29 Nhưng anh trả lời và nói với cha anh, ‘Cha xem đó, bao nhiêu năm nay con phục vụ cha, con không bao giờ làm trái lệnh cha, nhưng chưa bao giờ cha cho con một con dê con để con vui vẻ với bạn bè. 30 Nhưng khi thằng con ấy của cha, đứa đã phung phí gia tài của cha với phường đĩ điếm, trở về thì cha làm thịt bò con mập ăn mừng!’
31 Nhưng người cha nói với anh, ‘Con ơi, con luôn luôn ở với cha. Tất cả những gì của cha là của con. 32 Nhưng bây giờ chúng ta nên làm tiệc ăn mừng và vui vẻ, vì em con đây đã chết mà bây giờ lại sống, đã mất mà bây giờ đã tìm lại được.’”

The Parable of the Lost Sheep(A)
15 Now the tax collectors(B) and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”(C)
3 Then Jesus told them this parable:(D) 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?(E) 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’(F) 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.(G)
The Parable of the Lost Coin
8 “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins[a] and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’(H) 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”(I)
The Parable of the Lost Son
11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons.(J) 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’(K) So he divided his property(L) between them.
13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth(M) in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.(N) 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned(O) against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.(P)
21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.(Q) I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe(R) and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger(S) and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again;(T) he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.(U)
25 “Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27 ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’
28 “The older brother became angry(V) and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property(W) with prostitutes(X) comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
31 “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”(Y)

10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
