13 ¶ Y en este mismo tiempo estaban allí unos que le contaban acerca de los galileos, cuya sangre Pilato había mezclado con sus sacrificios.
2 Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Pensáis que estos galileos, porque han padecido tales cosas, hayan sido más pecadores que todos los Galileos?
3 No, os digo; antes si no os enmen-dares, todos pereceréis igualmente.
4 O aquellos dieciocho, sobre los cuales cayó la torre en Siloé, y los mató, ¿pensáis que ellos fueron más deudores que todos los hombres que habitan en Jerusalén?
5 No, os digo; antes si no os enmen-dares, todos pereceréis asimismo.
6 ¶ Y dijo esta parábola: Tenía uno una higuera plantada en su viña, y vino a buscar fruto en ella, y no lo halló.
7 Y dijo al viñero: He aquí tres años ha que vengo a buscar fruto en esta higuera, y no lo hallo; córtala, ¿por qué ocupará aún la tierra?
8 El entonces respondiendo, le dijo: Señor, déjala aún este año, hasta que la excave, y la abone.
9 Y si hiciere fruto, bien; y si no, la cortarás después.
10 ¶ Y enseñaba en una sinagoga en sábado.
11 Y he aquí una mujer que tenía espíritu de enfermedad hacía dieciocho años, y andaba agobiada, que en ninguna manera se podía enderezar.
12 Cuando Jesús la vio, la llamó, y le dijo: Mujer, libre eres de tu enfermedad.
13 Y puso las manos sobre ella; y luego se enderezó, y glorificaba a Dios.
14 Y respondiendo el príncipe de la sinagoga, enojado de que Jesús hubiera curado en sábado, dijo a la congregación: Seis días hay en que conviene obrar; en éstos, pues, venid y sed curados, y no en días de sábado.
15 Entonces el Señor le respondió, y dijo: Hipócrita, cada uno de vosotros ¿no desata en sábado su buey o su asno del pesebre, y lo lleva a beber?
16 Y a esta hija de Abraham, que he aquí Satanás la había ligado dieciocho años, ¿no conviene desatarla de esta ligadura en día de sábado?
17 Y diciendo estas cosas, se avergonzaban todos sus adversarios; mas todo el pueblo se gozaba de todas las cosas gloriosas que eran por él hechas.
18 ¶ Y dijo: ¿A qué es semejante el Reino de Dios, y a qué le compararé?
19 Semejante es a un grano de mostaza, que tomándolo el hombre lo metió en su huerto; y creció, y fue hecho árbol grande, y las aves del cielo hicieron nidos en sus ramas.
20 Y otra vez dijo: ¿A qué compararé el Reino de Dios?
21 Semejante es a la levadura, que tomándola la mujer, y la esconde en tres medidas de harina, hasta que todo sea leudado.
22 Y pasaba por las ciudades y aldeas, enseñando, y caminando a Jerusalén.
23 ¶ Y le dijo uno: Señor, ¿son pocos los que se salvan? Y él les dijo:
24 Esforzaos a entrar por la puerta angosta; porque os digo que muchos procurarán entrar, y no podrán.
25 Después que el padre de familia se levantare, y cerrare la puerta, y comenzaréis a estar fuera, y a tocar a la puerta, diciendo: Señor, Señor, ábrenos; y respondiendo os dirá: No os conozco de dónde seáis.
26 Entonces comenzaréis a decir: Delante de ti hemos comido y bebido, y en nuestras plazas enseñaste;
27 y os dirá: Os digo que no os conozco de dónde seáis; apartaos de mí todos los obreros de iniquidad.
28 Allí será el llanto y el crujir de dientes, cuando viereis a Abraham, y a Isaac, y a Jacob, y a todos los profetas en el Reino de Dios, y vosotros ser echados fuera.
29 Y vendrán otros del Oriente y del Occidente, del Norte y del Mediodía, y se sentarán a la mesa en el Reino de Dios.
30 Y he aquí, hay postreros que serán primeros, y hay primeros que serán postreros.
31 ¶ Aquel mismo día llegaron unos de los fariseos, diciéndole: Sal, y vete de aquí, porque Herodes te quiere matar.
32 Y les dijo: Id, y decid a aquella zorra: He aquí, echo fuera demonios y hago sanidades hoy y mañana, y al tercer día soy perfeccionado.
33 Pero es necesario que hoy, y mañana, y pasado mañana camine; porque no es posible que profeta muera fuera de Jerusalén.
34 ¡Jerusalén, Jerusalén! Que matas a los profetas, y apedreas a los que son enviados a ti, ¡cuántas veces quise juntar tus hijos, como la gallina sus pollos debajo de sus alas, y no quisiste!
35 He aquí, os es dejada vuestra Casa desierta; y os digo que no me veréis hasta que venga tiempo cuando digáis: Bendito el que viene en nombre del Señor.

Repent or Perish
13 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate(A) had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way?(B) 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam(C) fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent,(D) you too will all perish.”
6 Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any.(E) 7 So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down!(F) Why should it use up the soil?’
8 “‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. 9 If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’”
Jesus Heals a Crippled Woman on the Sabbath
10 On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,(G) 11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years.(H) She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” 13 Then he put his hands on her,(I) and immediately she straightened up and praised God.
14 Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath,(J) the synagogue leader(K) said to the people, “There are six days for work.(L) So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”
15 The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water?(M) 16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham,(N) whom Satan(O) has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”
17 When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated,(P) but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.
The Parables of the Mustard Seed and the Yeast(Q)(R)
18 Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God(S) like?(T) What shall I compare it to? 19 It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree,(U) and the birds perched in its branches.”(V)
20 Again he asked, “What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? 21 It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds[a] of flour until it worked all through the dough.”(W)
The Narrow Door
22 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem.(X) 23 Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?”
He said to them, 24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door,(Y) because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’
“But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’(Z)
26 “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’
27 “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’(AA)
28 “There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth,(AB) when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. 29 People will come from east and west(AC) and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. 30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”(AD)
Jesus’ Sorrow for Jerusalem(AE)(AF)
31 At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, “Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod(AG) wants to kill you.”
32 He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’(AH) 33 In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet(AI) can die outside Jerusalem!
34 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings,(AJ) and you were not willing. 35 Look, your house is left to you desolate.(AK) I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’[b]”(AL)

The Parable of the Barren Fig Tree
6 And he told this parable: “A man had (F)a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. 7 And he said to the vinedresser, ‘Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. (G)Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’ 8 And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure. 9 Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.’”
A Woman with a Disabling Spirit
10 Now (H)he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And behold, there was a woman who had had (I)a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your disability.” 13 And he (J)laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she (K)glorified God. 14 But (L)the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus (M)had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people, (N)“There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.” 15 Then the Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! (O)Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger and lead it away to water it? 16 And ought not this woman, (P)a daughter of Abraham whom (Q)Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?” 17 As he said these things, (R)all his adversaries were put to shame, and (S)all the people rejoiced at all the glorious things that were done by him.
The Mustard Seed and the Leaven
18 (T)He said therefore, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? 19 It is like (U)a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches.”
20 And again he said, “To what shall I compare the kingdom of God? 21 (V)It is like leaven that a woman took and hid in (W)three measures of flour, until it was (X)all leavened.”
The Narrow Door
22 (Y)He went on his way through towns and villages, teaching and (Z)journeying toward Jerusalem. 23 And someone said to him, “Lord, (AA)will those who are saved be few?” And he said to them, 24 (AB)“Strive (AC)to enter through the narrow door. Lament over Jerusalem
31 At that very hour some Pharisees came and said to him, “Get away from (AP)here, for (AQ)Herod wants to kill you.” 32 And he said to them, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day (AR)I finish my course. 33 Nevertheless, (AS)I (AT)must go on my way today and tomorrow and the day following, for it cannot be that (AU)a prophet should perish away from Jerusalem.’ 34 (AV)O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that (AW)kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! (AX)How often would I have (AY)gathered (AZ)your children together (BA)as a hen gathers her brood (BB)under her wings, and (BC)you were not willing! 35 Behold, (BD)your house is forsaken. And I tell you, you will not see me until you say, (BE)‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

– Stăpâne, mai lasă-l şi anul acesta, iar eu voi săpa în jurul lui şi îi voi pune gunoi. 9 Poate că, de acum înainte, va face roade; dacă nu, îl vei tăia!“
Vindecarea unei femei într-o zi de Sabat
10 Într-o zi de Sabat, Isus dădea învăţătură într-una din sinagogi. 11 Şi iată că acolo era o femeie care de optsprezece ani avea un duh de neputinţă; ea era încovoiată şi nu se putea îndrepta pe deplin. 12 Când a văzut-o, Isus a chemat-o şi i-a zis: „Femeie, eşti eliberată de neputinţa ta!“ 13 Şi-a întins mâinile peste ea şi deodată ea s-a îndreptat şi-L slăvea pe Dumnezeu.
14 Însă conducătorul sinagogii, indignat că Isus a vindecat în ziua de Sabat, a zis mulţimii: „Sunt şase zile în care trebuie să se lucreze. Veniţi deci în acele zile să fiţi vindecaţi, nu în ziua de Sabat!“
15 Dar Domnul i-a răspuns şi a zis: „Ipocriţilor! Care dintre voi nu-şi dezleagă boul sau măgarul de la iesle şi nu-l duce să-l adape în ziua de Sabat?! 16 Această femeie, care este o fiică a lui Avraam şi pe care, iată, Satan a ţinut-o legată timp de optsprezece ani, nu trebuia oare să fie dezlegată de această neputinţă în ziua de Sabat?“
17 Toţi potrivnicii Lui au rămas de ruşine când a zis aceste lucruri. Şi întreaga mulţime se bucura de toate lucrurile minunate care se înfăptuiau prin El.
Pilda bobului de muştar şi a drojdiei
18 Apoi a zis:
„Cu ce seamănă Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu şi cu ce o voi asemăna? 19 Ea este ca un bob de muştar pe care l-a luat un om şi l-a aruncat în grădina lui. El a crescut şi a devenit un copac, iar păsările cerului şi-au făcut cuiburi între ramurile lui.“
20 El a zis iarăşi:
„Cu ce voi asemăna Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu? 21 Ea este ca drojdia pe care o ia o femeie şi o pune în trei măsuri[c] de făină şi care, până la urmă, face să dospească tot aluatul.“
Intrarea în Împărăţie
22 Isus trecea prin cetăţi şi prin sate, dând învăţătură şi continuându-şi călătoria spre Ierusalim. 23 Cineva L-a întrebat: „Doamne, numai câţiva vor fi mântuiţi?“
El le-a zis: 24 „Străduiţi-vă să intraţi pe uşa cea îngustă, căci vă spun că mulţi vor încerca să intre, dar nu vor putea. 25 Odată ce Stăpânul casei se va ridica şi va încuia uşa, voi, stând afară, veţi începe să bateţi la uşă şi să ziceţi: «Doamne, deschide-ne!», însă El vă va răspunde: «Nu ştiu de unde sunteţi!» 26 Atunci veţi începe să ziceţi: «Noi am mâncat şi am băut înaintea Ta, şi pe străzile noastre ai dat Tu învăţătură!» 27 Dar El va răspunde: «Vă spun că nu ştiu de unde sunteţi! Plecaţi de la Mine, voi, toţi lucrătorii nedreptăţii!»
28 Va fi plânsul şi scrâşnirea dinţilor când îi veţi vedea pe Avraam, pe Isaac, pe Iacov şi pe toţi profeţii în Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu, iar pe voi aruncaţi afară! 29 Vor veni de la răsărit şi de la apus, de la nord şi de la sud şi se vor aşeza la masă în Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu! 30 Şi iată că sunt unii din cei de pe urmă care vor fi cei dintâi şi sunt unii din cei dintâi care vor fi cei din urmă.“
31 Chiar în ceasul acela au venit câţiva dintre farisei şi I-au zis:
– Pleacă şi du-te de aici, căci Irod vrea să Te omoare!
32 El le-a răspuns:
– Duceţi-vă şi spuneţi-i acelei vulpi: iată că scot demoni şi înfăptuiesc vindecări azi şi mâine, iar a treia zi voi termina. 33 Trebuie însă ca azi, mâine şi poimâine să-Mi continui drumul, pentru că nu se poate ca un profet să piară afară din Ierusalim!
34 Ierusalime, Ierusalime, care-i omori pe profeţi şi-i ucizi cu pietre pe cei trimişi la tine! De-atâtea ori am vrut să-ţi adun copiii aşa cum îşi adună cloşca puii sub aripi, dar n-aţi vrut! 35 Iată însă că vi se lasă casa pustie! Vă spun că nu Mă veţi mai vedea până (va veni vremea când)[d] veţi zice: „Binecuvântat este Cel Ce vine în Numele Domnului!“[e]
