8 Sinasabi ko sa inyo, Kahit siya'y hindi bumangon, at magbigay sa kaniya, dahil sa siya'y kaibigan niya, gayon ma'y dahil sa kaniyang pagbagabag ay siya'y magbabangon at ibibigay gaano man ang kinakailangan niya.
9 At sinasabi ko sa inyo, Magsihingi kayo, at kayo'y bibigyan; magsihanap kayo, at kayo'y mangakakasumpong; magsituktok kayo, at kayo'y bubuksan.
10 Sapagka't ang bawa't humihingi ay tumatanggap; at ang humahanap ay nakasusumpong; at ang tumutuktok ay binubuksan.

8 I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity[a] he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.(A)
9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you;(B) seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
