7 Y el que está adentro le responde: “No me molestes. La puerta ya está cerrada, y mis hijos y yo estamos acostados. No puedo levantarme a dártelos”. 8 Les digo que se levantará a darle el pan, no por que sea su amigo, sino por su impertinencia, y le dará todo lo que necesite.
9 »Por eso yo les digo: Pidan, y se les dará; busquen, y encontrarán; llamen, y se les abrirá.

7 And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.
8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

I cannot get up and give you anything’? 8 I tell you, though he will not get up and give him anything (A)because he is his friend, yet because of his impudence[a] he will rise and give him whatever he needs. 9 And I tell you, (B)ask, and (C)it will be given to you; (D)seek, and you will find; (E)knock, and it will be opened to you.
