30 şi să zică: ‘Omul acesta a început să zidească şi n-a putut isprăvi’. 31 Sau care împărat, când merge să se bată în război cu un alt împărat, nu stă mai întâi să se sfătuiască dacă va putea merge cu zece mii de oameni înaintea celui ce vine împotriva lui cu douăzeci de mii? 32 Altfel, pe când celălalt împărat este încă departe, îi trimite o solie să ceară pace.

30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32 If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace.
