27 (A)to a virgin betrothed[a] to a man whose name was Joseph, (B)of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And he came to her and said, “Greetings, (C)O favored one, (D)the Lord is with you!”[b] 29 But (E)she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be.

28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
