20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice because the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”(A)
Praise of the Father.(B) 21 At that very moment he rejoiced [in] the holy Spirit and said, “I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.[a] Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.(C)

20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”(A)
21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.(B) Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.
