8 Apre sa, Jezi t ap vwayaje nan tout vil yo ak bouk yo, li t ap preche bòn nouvèl wayòm Bondye a. Douz disip li yo te ansanm ak li tou. 2 Te gen yon ekip medam avèk li tou. Se moun ki te gen move lespri sou yo ak lòt kalite maladi, lè te geri yo. Youn ladan yo se te Mari, moun Magdala a, sa Jezi te chase sèt denmon sou li a. 3 Nan pami medam sa yo, te gen Jàn, madanm Kouza. Kouza sa te responsab pou jere byen Wa Ewòd yo. Te gen Sizàn ak anpil lòt medam ankò. Tout medam sa yo te konn pran nan pwòp byen yo pou yo fè pwovizyon pou Jezi ak disip li yo.
Istwa yon plantè ki t ap simen grenn
(Mat 13:1-17; Mak 4:1-12)
4 Yon gwo foul moun te rasanble. Yo te soti nan tout vil yo vin jwenn Jezi epi li rakonte yo parabòl sa a:
5 “Te gen yon plantè ki t al nan jaden pou simen grenn. Pandan l ap simen grenn yo, kèk grenn tonbe bò chemen an. Pye pile yo epi zwazo nan syèl manje grenn yo. 6 Gen lòt ki tonbe nan yon sou karyann. Yo kòmanse grandi men yo seche, paske yo pa jwenn ase tè mouye. 7 Gen lòt toujou ki tonbe nan mitan pikan. Yo kòmanse grandi, men pikan yo toufe yo. 8 Gen lòt menm ki tonbe nan bon tè. Yo grandi. Yo donnen anpil fwi, menm san fwa lavalè.”

9 Disip Jezi yo mande l: “Ki sa parabòl sa vle di?”
10 Jezi reponn yo: “Bondye fè nou gras pou nou konnen tout ti sekrè wayòm Bondye a. Men lòt yo menm, yo pale ak yo an parabòl poutèt
Menm lè yo wè,

Si se pou donnen, yo donnen, men fwi yo pa janm rive a tèm pou yo ta pwodui yon bon rekòt. 15 Grenn ki tonbe nan bon tè yo menm, se tankou moun ki tande pawòl la ak yon kè onèt epi bon. Yo obeyi pawòl la kòrèkteman epi avèk pasyans, yo pwodui yon bon rekòt.

Se disip Jezi ki vrè fanmi li

19 Manman ak frè Jezi yo te vin parèt. Men, poutèt foul la, yo pa t kapab rive kote Jezi te ye a. 20 Yon moun di Jezi konsa: “Men manman w ak frè w yo kanpe deyò a, yo vle wè w.”
21 Jezi reponn yo: “Manman m ak frè m se moun ki tande pawòl Bondye epi ki fè sa li mande a.”
Jezi kalme yon tanpèt

22 Yon jou, Jezi te monte nan yon bato ansanm ak disip li yo epi li di yo: “Annou travèse sou lòt bò lak la.” Konsa, yo kòmanse navige pou y ale. Etan yo t ap navige, dòmi te pran Jezi. 23 Lamenm, yon gwo van vin tonbe soufle sou lak la. Bato a te kòmanse pran dlo epi lavi mesye yo te an danje. 24 Disip yo pwoche bò kote Jezi, yo reveye l. Yo di: “Mèt, mèt, men n ap nwaye wi.”
Jezi leve, li pale byen rèd ak van an ansanm ak lanm lanmè yo. Van an sispann epi lanmè a vin kal. 25 Apre sa, Jezi di disip yo: “Kote lafwa nou?”

Jezi delivre yon nonm anba move lespri

26 Jezi ak disip li yo navige ale nan peyi Jerazenyen[a] yo ki sitiye lòt bò lak la, fas pou fas ak Galile. 27 Kou Jezi kite bato a, li desann atè, yon nonm lavil la ki te gen move lespri sou li kontre ak Jezi. Mwen priye w angras, pa toumante m non.” 29 Li te pale kon sa paske Jezi te di move lespri a, “Soti nan nonm sa a.” Lè w tande denmon an te konn sele nonm sa a, se mare yo te konn mare ni men li ni pye li nan chenn epi mete l nan prizon. Malgre sa toujou, move lespri a te konn fè l kase chenn yo epi pati ak li ale nan raje, kote ki pa gen moun.
30 Jezi mande li: “Ki jan ou rele?”
Li reponn: “Lejyon.”[b] Li te di sa paske se anpil anpil denmon ki te antre sou nonm nan. 31 Lespri yo te pran soupriye Jezi pou l pa t voye yo ale nan gwo tou san fon an.[c] 32 Te gen yon latriye kochon ki t ap manje sou mòn nan. Denmon yo soupriye Jezi pou l ba yo pèmisyon antre nan kochon sa yo. Jezi te ba yo pèmisyon. 33 Denmon yo soti sou nonm nan, yo antre sou kochon yo. Kochon yo kouri al lage kò yo nan falèz la. Y al nwaye tèt yo nan lak la anba.
34 Lè yo wè sa, moun ki t ap gade kochon yo pran kouri al gaye nouvèl la nan lavil la ak nan tout zòn andeyò yo. 35 Anpil moun kouri vini pou wè sa k te pase a. Lè yo rive kote jezi te ye a, yo wè nonm ki te gen denmon yo sou li a chita nan pye Jezi. Li te byen abiye epi li te nan bon sans li. Sa te fè moun yo vin gen laperèz. 36 Moun ki te temwen yo te pran rakonte lòt yo kijan nonm ki te gen denmon sou li a te geri. 37 Apre sa, tout moun yo ki t ap viv nan tout rejyon alantou peyi Jerazenyen yo te mande Jezi pou l pati kite zòn nan, paske yo te vin pè anpil.
Jezi tou monte nan yon kannòt li retounen Galile. 38 Nonm ki te gen move lespri sou li a t ap ensiste pou l te ale avèk Jezi, men Jezi te refize. Li voye l ale, li di l: 39 “Retounen lakay ou, al rakonte sa Bondye fè pou ou.”
Nonm nan ale, li mache nan tout lavil la ap fè konnen sa Jezi fè pou li.

Li lage kò l atè nan pye Jezi, li t ap soupriye l pou l al lakay li avè l. 42 Paske sèl pitit fi li ki te gen anviwon douzan kon sa te prèske mouri.
Lè pou Jezi te ale lakay Jayiris, yon foul moun t ap kwense l toupatou. 43 Nan foul la te gen yon fi ki te gen yon emoraji sou li depi douzan. Li gentan depanse tout resous li te genyen kay doktè,[d] men yo youn pa t ka geri li. 44 Li bat li pase pa dèyè, li touche ke rad Jezi epi lamenm emoraji a koupe. 45 Apre sa, Jezi di: “Ki lès ki touche m nan?”
Tout moun di se pa yo menm. Epi Pyè di: “Mèt, ou nan kalite foul sa a, moun fwote sou ou, moun toupatou?”
46 Men Jezi reponn: “Wi m di w gen yon moun ki touche m. Paske mwen santi yon puisans soti sou mwen.” 47 Lè fi ki te touche Jezi a wè li pa ka kache bagay la, li vin lage kò l atè devan Jezi. Pandan l tou ap tranble, li temwanye devan tout pèp la poukisa li te touche Jezi. Epi li di yo li te geri imedyatman. 48 Apre sa Jezi di li: “Pitit fi mwen, ou geri paske ou kwè. Ale ak kè poze.”
49 Pandan Jezi t ap pale toujou, yon moun soti lakay Jayiris ki chèf sinagòg la, li vin di Jayiris konsa: “Ti fi a gentan mouri. Ou pa bezwen twouble mèt la ankò.”
50 Men Jezi ki te tande sa moun nan te di Jayiris la, li di Jayiris konsa: “Ou pa bezwen pè. Annik kwè sèlman epi pitit ou a ap geri.”
51 Lè Jezi rive nan kay la, li pa t pèmèt okenn moun antre ak li, eksepte Pyè Jan ak Jak, ansanm ak papa ti fi a epi manman li. 52 Tout moun t ap kriye. Yo te aflije pou ti pitit la. Men Jezi di yo: “Pa kriye. Paske tifi a pa mouri. Se dòmi l ap dòmi.”
53 Konsa, moun yo te pran pase Jezi nan betiz, paske yo konnen tifi a te mouri. 54 Men Jezi pran men tifi a. Li rele l byen fò, li di: “Ti pitit, leve!” 55 Lespri tifi a retounen nan limenm epi san pèdi tan li leve kanpe. Apre sa Jezi mande pou yo ba l manje. 56 Manman ak papa tifi a te sezi anpil. Jezi pase yo lòd pou yo pa di pèsonn kisa k te pase.

Le donne che accompagnavano Gesú
8 (A)In seguito egli se ne andava per città e villaggi, predicando e annunziando la buona notizia del regno di Dio. 2 Con lui vi erano i dodici e alcune donne che erano state guarite da spiriti maligni e da malattie: *Maria, detta Maddalena, dalla quale erano usciti sette demòni; 3 Giovanna, moglie di Cuza, l'amministratore di *Erode; Susanna e molte altre che assistevano Gesú e i dodici con i loro beni.
Il seminatore e i diversi terreni
4 (B)Or come si riuniva una gran folla e la gente di ogni città accorreva a lui, egli disse in *parabola:
5 «Il seminatore uscí a seminare la sua semenza; e, mentre seminava, una parte del seme cadde lungo la strada: fu calpestato e gli uccelli del cielo lo mangiarono. 6 Un'altra cadde sulla roccia: appena fu germogliato seccò, perché non aveva umidità. 7 Un'altra cadde in mezzo alle spine: le spine, crescendo insieme con esso, lo soffocarono. 8 Un'altra parte cadde in un buon terreno: quando fu germogliato, produsse il cento per uno». Dicendo queste cose, esclamava: «Chi ha orecchi per udire oda!»
9 I suoi discepoli gli domandarono che cosa volesse dire questa parabola. 10 Ed egli disse: «A voi è dato di conoscere i misteri del regno di Dio; ma agli altri se ne parla in parabole, affinché vedendo non vedano, e udendo non comprendano[a].
11 Or questo è il significato della parabola: il seme è la parola di Dio. 12 Quelli lungo la strada sono coloro che ascoltano, ma poi viene il *diavolo e porta via la parola dal loro cuore, affinché non credano e non siano salvati. 13 Quelli sulla roccia sono coloro i quali, quando ascoltano la parola, la ricevono con gioia; ma costoro non hanno radice, credono per un certo tempo ma, quando viene la prova, si tirano indietro. 14 Quello che è caduto tra le spine sono coloro[b] che ascoltano, ma se ne vanno e restano soffocati dalle preoccupazioni, dalle ricchezze e dai piaceri della vita, e non arrivano a maturità. 15 E quello che è caduto in un buon terreno sono coloro i quali, dopo aver udito la parola, la ritengono in un cuore onesto e buono, e portano frutto con perseveranza.
La lampada sul candeliere
16 (C)«Nessuno accende una lampada e poi la copre con un vaso, o la mette sotto il letto; anzi la mette sul *candeliere, perché chi entra veda la luce. 17 Poiché non c'è nulla di nascosto che non debba manifestarsi, né di segreto che non debba essere conosciuto e venire alla luce. 18 Attenti dunque a come ascoltate: perché a chi ha, sarà dato; ma a chi non ha, anche quello che pensa di avere gli sarà tolto».
La madre e i fratelli di Gesú
19 (D)Sua madre e i suoi fratelli vennero a trovarlo; ma non potevano avvicinarlo a motivo della folla. 20 Gli fu riferito: «Tua madre e i tuoi fratelli sono là fuori, e vogliono vederti». 21 Ma egli rispose loro: «Mia madre e i miei fratelli sono quelli che ascoltano la parola di Dio e la mettono in pratica».
Gesú calma la tempesta
22 (E)Un giorno egli salí su una barca con i suoi discepoli, e disse loro: «Passiamo all'altra riva del lago». E presero il largo. 23 Mentre navigavano, egli si addormentò; e si abbatté sul lago un turbine di vento, tanto che la barca si riempiva d'acqua, ed essi erano in pericolo. 24 I discepoli, avvicinatisi, lo svegliarono, dicendo: «Maestro, Maestro, noi periamo!» Ma egli, destatosi, sgridò il vento e i flutti, che si calmarono, e si fece bonaccia. 25 Poi disse loro: «Dov'è la vostra fede?» Ma essi, impauriti e meravigliati, dicevano l'uno all'altro: «Chi è mai costui che comanda anche ai venti e all'acqua, e gli ubbidiscono?»
Gesú guarisce l'indemoniato di Gerasa
26 (F)Approdarono nel paese dei *Gerasèni, che sta di fronte alla *Galilea. 27 Quando egli fu sceso a terra, gli venne incontro un uomo della città: era posseduto da demòni e da molto tempo non indossava vestiti, non abitava in una casa, ma stava fra le tombe. 28 Appena vide Gesú, lanciò un grido, si inginocchiò davanti a lui e disse a gran voce: «Che c'è fra me e te, Gesú, *Figlio del Dio Altissimo? Ti prego, non tormentarmi». 29 Gesú, infatti, aveva comandato allo spirito immondo di uscire da quell'uomo, di cui si era impadronito da molto tempo; e, anche quando lo legavano con catene e lo custodivano in ceppi, spezzava i legami, e veniva trascinato via dal demonio nei deserti. 30 Gesú gli domandò: «Qual è il tuo nome?» Ed egli rispose: «Legione»; perché molti demòni erano entrati in lui. 31 Ed essi lo pregavano che non comandasse loro di andare nell'abisso. 32 C'era là un branco numeroso di porci che pascolava sul monte; e i demòni lo pregarono di permetter loro di entrare in quelli. Ed egli lo permise. 33 I demòni, usciti da quell'uomo, entrarono nei porci; e quel branco si gettò a precipizio giú nel lago e affogò. 34 Coloro che li custodivano videro ciò che era avvenuto, se ne fuggirono e portarono la notizia in città e per la campagna. 35 La gente uscí a vedere l'accaduto; e, venuta da Gesú, trovò l'uomo, dal quale erano usciti i demòni, che sedeva ai piedi di Gesú, vestito e sano di mente; e si impaurirono. 36 Quelli che avevano visto, raccontarono loro come l'indemoniato era stato liberato. 37 L'intera popolazione della regione dei Gerasèni pregò Gesú che se ne andasse via da loro; perché erano presi da grande spavento.
Egli, salito sulla barca, se ne tornò indietro. 38 L'uomo dal quale erano usciti i demòni, lo pregava di poter restare con lui, ma Gesú lo rimandò, dicendo: 39 «Torna a casa tua, e racconta le grandi cose che Dio ha fatte per te». Ed egli se ne andò per tutta la città, proclamando tutto quello che Gesú aveva fatto per lui.
Gesú guarisce una donna e risuscita la figlia di Iairo
40 (G)Al suo ritorno, Gesú fu accolto dalla folla, perché tutti lo stavano aspettando.
41 Ecco venire un uomo, di nome Iairo, che era capo della *sinagoga; e, gettatosi ai piedi di Gesú, lo pregava di entrare in casa sua, 42 perché aveva una figlia unica di circa dodici anni, che stava per morire. Or mentre Gesú vi andava, la folla faceva ressa intorno a lui.
43 Una donna, che aveva perdite di sangue da dodici anni [e aveva speso tutti i suoi beni con i medici] senza poter essere guarita da nessuno, 44 si avvicinò di dietro e gli toccò il lembo della veste; e in quell'istante il suo flusso ristagnò. 45 E Gesú domandò: «Chi mi ha toccato?» E siccome tutti negavano, *Pietro e quelli che erano con lui risposero: «Maestro, la folla ti stringe e ti preme». 46 Ma Gesú replicò: «Qualcuno mi ha toccato, perché ho sentito che una potenza è uscita da me». 47 La donna, vedendo che non era rimasta inosservata, venne tutta tremante e, gettatasi ai suoi piedi, dichiarò, in presenza di tutto il popolo, per quale motivo lo aveva toccato e come era stata guarita in un istante. 48 Ma egli le disse: «Figliola, la tua fede ti ha salvata; va' in pace».
49 Mentr'egli parlava ancora, venne uno dalla casa del capo della sinagoga, a dirgli: «Tua figlia è morta; non disturbare piú il Maestro». 50 Ma Gesú, udito ciò, rispose a Iairo: «Non temere; solo abbi fede, e sarà salva». 51 Arrivato alla casa, non permise a nessuno di entrare con lui all'infuori di Pietro, *Giovanni, *Giacomo, il padre e la madre della bambina. 52 Or tutti piangevano e facevano cordoglio per lei. Ma egli disse: «Non piangete, perché non è morta, ma dorme». 53 E ridevano di lui, sapendo che era morta. 54 Ma egli, prendendole la mano, disse ad alta voce: «Bambina, àlzati». 55 Lo spirito di lei ritornò ed ella si alzò subito; Gesú comandò che le dessero da mangiare. 56 E i genitori di lei rimasero sbalorditi; ma egli ordinò loro di non dire a nessuno quello che era avvenuto.

The Parable of the Sower(A)
8 After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God.(B) The Twelve were with him, 2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene)(C) from whom seven demons had come out; 3 Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s(D) household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.
4 While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable: 5 “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. 6 Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.”
When he said this, he called out, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”(E)
9 His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10 He said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you,(F) but to others I speak in parables, so that,
11 “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.(H) 12 Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. 13 Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.(I) 14 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches(J) and pleasures, and they do not mature. 15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
A Lamp on a Stand
16 “No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.(K) 17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.(L) 18 Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”(M)
Jesus’ Mother and Brothers(N)
19 Now Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd. 20 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers(O) are standing outside, wanting to see you.”
21 He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.”(P)
Jesus Calms the Storm(Q)(R)
22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. 23 As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.
24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master,(S) we’re going to drown!”
He got up and rebuked(T) the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.(U) 25 “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples.
In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”
Jesus Restores a Demon-Possessed Man(V)(W)
26 They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes,[b] which is across the lake from Galilee. 27 When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me,(X) Jesus, Son of the Most High God?(Y) I beg you, don’t torture me!” 29 For Jesus had commanded the impure spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places.
30 Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”
“Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him. 31 And they begged Jesus repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss.(Z)
32 A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into the pigs, and he gave them permission. 33 When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake(AA) and was drowned.
34 When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, 35 and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet,(AB) dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 36 Those who had seen it told the people how the demon-possessed(AC) man had been cured. 37 Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them,(AD) because they were overcome with fear. So he got into the boat and left.
38 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.
Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman(AE)
40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him. 41 Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader,(AF) came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house 42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying.
As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. 43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding(AG) for twelve years,[c] but no one could heal her. 44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak,(AH) and immediately her bleeding stopped.
45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked.
When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master,(AI) the people are crowding and pressing against you.”
46 But Jesus said, “Someone touched me;(AJ) I know that power has gone out from me.”(AK)
47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. 48 Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.(AL) Go in peace.”(AM)
49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader.(AN) “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.”
50 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
51 When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James,(AO) and the child’s father and mother. 52 Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning(AP) for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.”(AQ)
53 They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!”(AR) 55 Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. 56 Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.(AS)
