The Law of Peace Offerings

11 This is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings that a person shall offer to the Lord.

12 If he gives it as a thanksgiving offering, then he shall offer with the thanksgiving sacrifice unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers smeared with oil, and cakes of wheat flour mixed with olive oil. 13 Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offerings. 14 From this he shall offer one loaf from each offering, as a gift to the Lord. It shall be for the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings. 15 The flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.

16 But if the sacrifice of his offering is a vow or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice, and on the next day also the remainder of it can be eaten. 17 But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned up with fire. 18 If any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is eaten at all on the third day, the one eating shall not be accepted, nor shall it be imputed to him who offers it. It shall be contaminated, and the one who eats of it shall bear his iniquity.

19 The flesh that touches any unclean thing shall not be eaten. It shall be burned up with fire. And as for the other flesh, all who are ritually clean can eat of it. 20 But the person who eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings that belong to the Lord, and who has any uncleanness on him, that individual shall be cut off from his people. 21 Moreover the person who shall touch any unclean thing, whether the uncleanness of man or any unclean beast or any detestable unclean creature, and then eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace offering that belongs to the Lord, that individual shall be cut off from his people.

Additional Laws for Fellowship Offerings

11 “‘And this is the regulation of the fellowship offerings that he must present to Yahweh: 12 If he presents it for thanksgiving, in addition to the thanksgiving sacrifice he shall present ring-shaped unleavened bread mixed with oil and unleavened bread wafers smeared with oil and well-mixed ring-shaped bread cakes of finely milled flour mixed with oil. 13 In addition to ring-shaped cakes of bread with yeast, he must present his grain[a] offering together with[b] his sacrifice of thanksgiving peace offerings. 14 And he shall present one of each kind of grain[c] offering as a contribution for Yahweh; it belongs to[d] the priest who sprinkles the fellowship offerings’ blood. 15 And the meat of the sacrifice of his thanksgiving fellowship offerings must be eaten on the day of his offering; he must not leave it until morning.

16 “‘But[e] if his sacrifice is for a vow or as a freewill offering, it must be eaten on the day of his presenting his sacrifice, and on the next day the remainder[f] from it may be eaten, 17 but[g] the remainder from the sacrifice’s meat must be burned up in the fire on the third day. 18 And if indeed some of the meat of his fellowship offerings’ sacrifice is eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted; it will not be considered of benefit for the one who presented it—it shall be unclean meat, and the person[h] who eats it shall bear his guilt. 19 And the meat that touches anything unclean must not be eaten; it must be burned with fire, and as for the clean[i] meat, anyone who is clean may eat the meat. 20 And the person[j] who eats meat from the fellowship offerings’ sacrifice, which is for Yahweh, and whose uncleanness is upon him—that person[k] shall be cut off from his people. 21 And when a person[l] touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness or an unclean animal or any unclean detestable thing, and he eats from the meat of the fellowship offerings’ sacrifice, which is for Yahweh, then[m] that person[n] shall be cut off from his people.’”
