14 ‘Now this is the law of the grain offering: the sons of Aaron shall bring it near before Yahweh in front of the altar. 15 (A)Then one of them shall raise up from it a handful of the fine flour of the grain offering, [a]with its oil and all the frankincense that is on the grain offering, and he shall offer it up in smoke on the altar, a soothing aroma, as its memorial offering to Yahweh. 16 (B)What is left of it Aaron and his sons shall eat. It shall be eaten as unleavened cakes in a holy place; they shall eat it in the court of the tent of meeting. 17 (C)It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it as their share from My offerings by fire; (D)it is most holy, like the sin offering and (E)the guilt offering. 18 (F)Every male among the sons of Aaron may eat it; it is a perpetual statute throughout your generations, from the offerings by fire to Yahweh. (G)Whoever touches them will be set apart as holy.’”

19 Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 20 “This is the offering which Aaron and his sons shall bring near to Yahweh on the day when he is anointed; the [b]tenth of an (H)ephah of fine flour as (I)a [c]regular grain offering, half of it in the morning and half of it in the evening. 21 It shall be prepared with oil on a (J)griddle. When it is well stirred, you shall bring it. You shall bring near the grain offering in baked pieces as a soothing aroma to Yahweh. 22 And the anointed priest, who will be in his place [d]among his sons, shall [e]offer it. By a perpetual statute it shall be entirely offered up in smoke to Yahweh. 23 So every grain offering of the priest shall be burned entirely. It shall not be eaten.”

The Grain Offering

14 “Now this is the law of the grain offering:(A) Aaron’s sons will present it before the Lord in front of the altar. 15 The priest is to remove a handful of fine flour and olive oil from the grain offering, with all the frankincense that is on the offering, and burn its memorial portion on the altar as a pleasing aroma to the Lord. 16 Aaron and his sons may eat the rest of it.(B) It is to be eaten in the form of unleavened bread(C) in a holy place;(D) they are to eat it in the courtyard(E) of the tent of meeting. 17 It must not be baked with yeast; I have assigned it as their portion(F) from My fire offerings.(G) It is especially holy, like the sin offering(H) and the restitution offering. 18 Any male among Aaron’s descendants(I) may eat it. It is a permanent portion[a](J) throughout your generations from the fire offerings to the Lord. Anything that touches the offerings will become holy.”(K)

19 The Lord spoke to Moses: 20 “This is the offering that Aaron and his sons must present to the Lord on the day that he is anointed: two quarts[b] of fine flour as a regular[c] grain offering, half of it in the morning and half in the evening. 21 It is to be prepared with oil on a griddle; you are to bring it well-kneaded. You must present it as a grain offering of baked pieces,[d] a pleasing aroma to the Lord. 22 The priest, who is one of Aaron’s sons and will be anointed to take his place, is to prepare it. It must be completely burned as a permanent portion for the Lord. 23 Every grain offering for a priest will be a whole burnt offering;(L) it is not to be eaten.”
