14 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 15 (A)If a person acts unfaithfully and sins (B)unintentionally against the Lords holy things, then he shall bring his (C)guilt offering to the Lord: (D)a ram without defect from the flock, according to your assessment in silver by shekels, in terms of the (E)shekel of the sanctuary, as a guilt offering. 16 And (F)he shall make restitution for that which he has sinned against the holy thing, and shall add to it a fifth part of it and give it to the priest. (G)The priest shall then make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering, and it will be forgiven him.

17 “Now if a person sins and does any of the things [a]which the Lord has commanded not to be done, (H)though he was unaware, he is still guilty and shall bear his punishment. 18 He is then to bring to the priest (I)a ram without defect from the flock, according to your assessment, as a guilt offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin which he committed (J)unintentionally and did not know it, and it will be forgiven him. 19 It is a guilt offering; he was certainly guilty before the Lord.”

Guilt Offering

[b]Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, (K)When a person sins and acts unfaithfully against the Lord, and disavows the rightful claim of his neighbor regarding a deposit or a security entrusted to him, or regarding robbery, or he has extorted from his neighbor, or (L)has found what was lost and lied about it and sworn falsely, so that he sins regarding any of the things that people do; then it shall be, when he sins and becomes guilty, that he shall (M)restore what he took by robbery or acquired by extortion, or the deposit which was [c]entrusted to him, or the lost property which he found, or anything about which he swore falsely; (N)he shall make restitution for it [d]in full and add to it a fifth more. (O)He shall give it to the one to whom it belongs on the day he presents his guilt offering. Then he shall bring to the priest his guilt offering to the Lord, (P)a ram without defect from the flock, according to your assessment, as a guilt offering, and (Q)the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord, and he will be forgiven for any one of the things which he may have done to incur guilt.”

Offerings with Restitution

14 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 15 (A)“If a person commits a trespass, and sins unintentionally in regard to the holy things of the Lord, then (B)he shall bring to the Lord as his trespass offering a ram without blemish from the flocks, with your valuation in shekels of silver according to (C)the shekel of the sanctuary, as a trespass offering. 16 And he shall make restitution for the harm that he has done in regard to the holy thing, (D)and shall add one-fifth to it and give it to the priest. (E)So the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.

17 “If a person sins, and commits any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord, (F)though he does not know it, yet he is (G)guilty and shall bear his [a]iniquity. 18 (H)And he shall bring to the priest a ram without blemish from the flock, with your valuation, as a trespass offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him regarding his ignorance in which he erred and did not know it, and it shall be forgiven him. 19 It is a trespass offering; (I)he has certainly trespassed against the Lord.”

Laws About the Burnt Offering, the Grain Offering, and the Sin Offering

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “If a person sins and (J)commits a trespass against the Lord by (K)lying[b] to his neighbor about (L)what was delivered to him for safekeeping, or about [c]a pledge, or about a robbery, or if he has (M)extorted from his neighbor, or if he (N)has found what was lost and lies concerning it, and (O)swears falsely—in any one of these things that a man may do in which he sins: then it shall be, because he has sinned and is guilty, that he shall [d]restore (P)what he has stolen, or the thing which he has extorted, or what was delivered to him for safekeeping, or the lost thing which he found, or all that about which he has sworn falsely. He shall (Q)restore its full value, add one-fifth more to it, and give it to whomever it belongs, on the day of his trespass offering. And he shall bring his trespass offering to the Lord, (R)a ram without blemish from the flock, with your [e]valuation, as a trespass offering, to the priest. (S)So the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord, and he shall be forgiven for any one of these things that he may have done in which he trespasses.”
