4 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘If anyone sins unintentionally, in any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, and does any one of them, 3 if the anointed priest sins so as to bring guilt on the people, then let him offer for his sin which he has sinned a young bull without defect to Yahweh for a sin offering. 4 He shall bring the bull to the door of the Tent of Meeting before Yahweh; and he shall lay his hand on the head of the bull, and kill the bull before Yahweh. 5 The anointed priest shall take some of the blood of the bull, and bring it to the Tent of Meeting. 6 The priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle some of the blood seven times before Yahweh, before the veil of the sanctuary. 7 The priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of sweet incense before Yahweh, which is in the Tent of Meeting; and he shall pour out the rest of the blood of the bull at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Meeting. 8 He shall take all the fat of the bull of the sin offering from it: the fat that covers the innards, and all the fat that is on the innards, 9 and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall remove, 10 as it is removed from the bull of the sacrifice of peace offerings. The priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering. 11 He shall carry the bull’s skin, all its meat, with its head, and with its legs, its innards, and its dung 12 —all the rest of the bull—outside of the camp to a clean place where the ashes are poured out, and burn it on wood with fire. It shall be burned where the ashes are poured out.
13 “‘If the whole congregation of Israel sins, and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, and are guilty; 14 when the sin in which they have sinned is known, then the assembly shall offer a young bull for a sin offering, and bring it before the Tent of Meeting. 15 The elders of the congregation shall lay their hands on the head of the bull before Yahweh; and the bull shall be killed before Yahweh. 16 The anointed priest shall bring some of the blood of the bull to the Tent of Meeting. 17 The priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times before Yahweh, before the veil. 18 He shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar which is before Yahweh, that is in the Tent of Meeting; and the rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Meeting. 19 All its fat he shall take from it, and burn it on the altar. 20 He shall do this with the bull; as he did with the bull of the sin offering, so he shall do with this; and the priest shall make atonement for them, and they shall be forgiven. 21 He shall carry the bull outside the camp, and burn it as he burned the first bull. It is the sin offering for the assembly.
22 “‘When a ruler sins, and unwittingly does any one of all the things which Yahweh his God has commanded not to be done, and is guilty, 23 if his sin in which he has sinned is made known to him, he shall bring as his offering a goat, a male without defect. 24 He shall lay his hand on the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before Yahweh. It is a sin offering. 25 The priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering. He shall pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering. 26 All its fat he shall burn on the altar, like the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin, and he will be forgiven.
27 “‘If anyone of the common people sins unwittingly, in doing any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, and is guilty, 28 if his sin which he has sinned is made known to him, then he shall bring for his offering a goat, a female without defect, for his sin which he has sinned. 29 He shall lay his hand on the head of the sin offering, and kill the sin offering in the place of burnt offering. 30 The priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering; and the rest of its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar. 31 All its fat he shall take away, like the fat is taken away from the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it on the altar for a pleasant aroma to Yahweh; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven.
32 “‘If he brings a lamb as his offering for a sin offering, he shall bring a female without defect. 33 He shall lay his hand on the head of the sin offering, and kill it for a sin offering in the place where they kill the burnt offering. 34 The priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering; and all the rest of its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar. 35 He shall remove all its fat, like the fat of the lamb is removed from the sacrifice of peace offerings. The priest shall burn them on the altar, on the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. The priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin that he has sinned, and he will be forgiven.

4 ¶ Y habló el SEÑOR a Moisés, diciendo:
2 Habla a los hijos de Israel, diciendo: Cuando alguna persona pecare por yerro en alguno de los mandamientos del SEÑOR sobre cosas que no se han de hacer, e hiciere alguna de ellas;
3 si el sacerdote ungido pecare, según la culpabilidad del pueblo, ofrecerá por su pecado que habrá cometido, un novillo sin tacha por su pecado.
4 Y traerá el novillo a la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio delante del SEÑOR, y pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del novillo, y lo degollará delante del SEÑOR.
5 Y el sacerdote ungido tomará de la sangre del novillo, y la traerá al tabernáculo del testimonio;
6 y mojará el sacerdote su dedo en la sangre, y rociará de aquella sangre siete veces delante del SEÑOR, delante del velo del santuario.
7 Y pondrá el sacerdote de la sangre sobre los cuernos del altar del incienso aromático, que está en el tabernáculo del testimonio delante del SEÑOR; y echará toda la sangre del novillo al cimiento del altar del holocausto, que está a la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio.
8 Y tomará del novillo por el pecado todo su sebo, el sebo que cubre los intestinos, y todo el sebo que está sobre las entrañas,
9 y los dos riñones, y el sebo que está sobre ellos, y el que está sobre los ijares, y con los riñones quitará el redaño de sobre el hígado,
10 de la manera que se quita del buey del sacrificio de la paz; y hará el sacerdote perfume de ello sobre el altar del holocausto.
11 Y el cuero del novillo, y toda su carne, con su cabeza, y sus piernas, y sus intestinos, y su estiércol;
12 finalmente, todo el novillo lo sacará fuera del campamento, a un lugar limpio, donde se echan las cenizas con la grosura quemada, y lo quemará al fuego sobre la leña; en el lugar donde se echan las cenizas con la grosura quemada será quemado.
13 ¶ Y si toda la congregación de Israel hubiere errado, y el negocio estuviere oculto a la congregación, y hubieren hecho algo contra alguno de los mandamientos del SEÑOR en cosas que no se han de hacer, y son culpables;
14 luego que fuere entendido el pecado que cometieron, la congregación ofrecerá un novillo como el pecado, y lo traerán delante del tabernáculo del testimonio.
15 Y los ancianos de la congregación pondrán sus manos sobre la cabeza del novillo delante del SEÑOR; y degollarán aquel novillo delante del SEÑOR.
16 Y el sacerdote ungido meterá de la sangre del novillo en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
17 Y mojará el sacerdote su dedo en la misma sangre, y rociará siete veces delante del SEÑOR delante del velo.
18 Y de aquella sangre pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar que está delante del SEÑOR en el tabernáculo del testimonio, y derramará toda la sangre al cimiento del altar del holocausto, que está a la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio.
19 Y le quitará todo el sebo, y hará de él perfume sobre el altar.
20 Y hará de aquel novillo como hizo con el novillo del pecado; lo mismo hará de él; y así los reconciliará el sacerdote, y obtendrán perdón.
21 Y sacará el novillo fuera del campamento, y lo quemará como quemó el primer novillo; es el pecado de la congregación.
22 ¶ Y cuando pecare el príncipe, e hiciere por yerro algo contra alguno de todos los mandamientos del SEÑOR su Dios, sobre cosas que no se han de hacer, y es culpable;
23 luego que le fuere notificado su pecado que cometió, entonces presentará por su ofrenda un macho cabrío sin defecto.
24 Y pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del macho cabrío, y lo degollará en el lugar donde se degüella el holocausto delante del SEÑOR; es pecado.
25 Y tomará el sacerdote con su dedo de la sangre del pecado, y pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar del holocausto, y derramará la sangre al cimiento del altar del holocausto;
26 y quemará todo su sebo sobre el altar, como el sebo del sacrificio de la paz; así lo reconciliará el sacerdote de su pecado, y tendrá perdón.
27 ¶ Y si alguna persona del pueblo de la tierra cometiere pecado por yerro, haciendo algo contra alguno de los mandamientos del SEÑOR en cosas que no se han de hacer, y es culpable;
28 luego que le fuere conocido su pecado que cometió, traerá por su ofrenda una hembra de las cabras, una cabra sin defecto, por su pecado que habrá cometido.
29 Y pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del pecado, y degollará el pecado en el lugar del holocausto.
30 Luego tomará el sacerdote con su dedo de la sangre, y pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar del holocausto, y derramará toda su sangre al cimiento del altar.
31 Y le quitará todo su sebo, de la manera que fue quitado el sebo del sacrificio de la paz; y hará perfume el sacerdote sobre el altar en olor muy aceptable al SEÑOR; y así lo reconciliará el sacerdote, y tendrá perdón.
32 Y si trajere oveja para su ofrenda, como el pecado, hembra sin defecto traerá.
33 Y pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del pecado, y la degollará el pecado en el lugar donde se degüella el holocausto.
34 Después tomará el sacerdote con su dedo de la sangre del pecado, y pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar del holocausto; y derramará toda la sangre al cimiento del altar.
35 Y le quitará todo su sebo, como fue quitado el sebo del cordero del sacrificio de la paz, y hará el sacerdote perfume de ello sobre el altar en ofrenda encendida al SEÑOR; y así lo reconciliará el sacerdote de su pecado que haya cometido, y tendrá perdón.

The Sin Offering
4 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Say to the Israelites: ‘When anyone sins unintentionally(A) and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands(B)—
3 “‘If the anointed priest(C) sins,(D) bringing guilt on the people, he must bring to the Lord a young bull(E) without defect(F) as a sin offering[a](G) for the sin he has committed.(H) 4 He is to present the bull at the entrance to the tent of meeting before the Lord.(I) He is to lay his hand on its head and slaughter it there before the Lord. 5 Then the anointed priest shall take some of the bull’s blood(J) and carry it into the tent of meeting. 6 He is to dip his finger into the blood and sprinkle(K) some of it seven times before the Lord,(L) in front of the curtain of the sanctuary.(M) 7 The priest shall then put some of the blood on the horns(N) of the altar of fragrant incense that is before the Lord in the tent of meeting. The rest of the bull’s blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar(O) of burnt offering(P) at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 8 He shall remove all the fat(Q) from the bull of the sin offering—all the fat that is connected to the internal organs, 9 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which he will remove with the kidneys(R)— 10 just as the fat is removed from the ox[b](S) sacrificed as a fellowship offering.(T) Then the priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering.(U) 11 But the hide of the bull and all its flesh, as well as the head and legs, the internal organs and the intestines(V)— 12 that is, all the rest of the bull—he must take outside the camp(W) to a place ceremonially clean,(X) where the ashes(Y) are thrown, and burn it(Z) there in a wood fire on the ash heap.(AA)
13 “‘If the whole Israelite community sins unintentionally(AB) and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though the community is unaware of the matter, when they realize their guilt 14 and the sin they committed becomes known, the assembly must bring a young bull(AC) as a sin offering(AD) and present it before the tent of meeting. 15 The elders(AE) of the community are to lay their hands(AF) on the bull’s head(AG) before the Lord, and the bull shall be slaughtered before the Lord.(AH) 16 Then the anointed priest is to take some of the bull’s blood(AI) into the tent of meeting. 17 He shall dip his finger into the blood and sprinkle(AJ) it before the Lord(AK) seven times in front of the curtain. 18 He is to put some of the blood(AL) on the horns of the altar that is before the Lord(AM) in the tent of meeting. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar(AN) of burnt offering at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 19 He shall remove all the fat(AO) from it and burn it on the altar,(AP) 20 and do with this bull just as he did with the bull for the sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement(AQ) for the community, and they will be forgiven.(AR) 21 Then he shall take the bull outside the camp(AS) and burn it as he burned the first bull. This is the sin offering for the community.(AT)
22 “‘When a leader(AU) sins unintentionally(AV) and does what is forbidden in any of the commands of the Lord his God, when he realizes his guilt 23 and the sin he has committed becomes known, he must bring as his offering a male goat(AW) without defect. 24 He is to lay his hand on the goat’s head and slaughter it at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered before the Lord.(AX) It is a sin offering.(AY) 25 Then the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar(AZ) of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.(BA) 26 He shall burn all the fat on the altar as he burned the fat of the fellowship offering. In this way the priest will make atonement(BB) for the leader’s sin, and he will be forgiven.(BC)
27 “‘If any member of the community sins unintentionally(BD) and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, when they realize their guilt 28 and the sin they have committed becomes known, they must bring as their offering(BE) for the sin they committed a female goat(BF) without defect. 29 They are to lay their hand on the head(BG) of the sin offering(BH) and slaughter it at the place of the burnt offering.(BI) 30 Then the priest is to take some of the blood with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering(BJ) and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar. 31 They shall remove all the fat, just as the fat is removed from the fellowship offering, and the priest shall burn it on the altar(BK) as an aroma pleasing to the Lord.(BL) In this way the priest will make atonement(BM) for them, and they will be forgiven.(BN)
32 “‘If someone brings a lamb(BO) as their sin offering, they are to bring a female without defect.(BP) 33 They are to lay their hand on its head and slaughter it(BQ) for a sin offering(BR) at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered.(BS) 34 Then the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.(BT) 35 They shall remove all the fat, just as the fat is removed from the lamb of the fellowship offering, and the priest shall burn it on the altar(BU) on top of the food offerings presented to the Lord. In this way the priest will make atonement for them for the sin they have committed, and they will be forgiven.
