Leviticus 4:23-25

²³or ^(A)the sin which he has committed is made known to him, he shall bring as his offering a goat, a male without blemish, ²⁴and ^(B)shall lay his hand on the head of the goat and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the Lord; it is a sin offering. ²⁵^(C)Then the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering and pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering.

²³if his sin which he has committed is made known to him, he shall bring a goat, a male without blemish as his offering. ²⁴He shall lay his hand on the head of the male goat [transferring symbolically his guilt to the sacrifice], and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the Lord; it is a sin offering. ²⁵Then the priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering; and the rest of its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering.

²³and the sin he has committed becomes known, he must bring as his offering a male goat^(A) without defect. ²⁴He is to lay his hand on the goat’s head and slaughter it at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered before the Lord.^(B) It is a sin offering.^(C) ²⁵Then the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar^(D) of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.^(E)
