The Peace Offering
3 ‘When his offering is a (A)sacrifice of a peace offering, if he offers it of the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it (B)without [a]blemish before the Lord. 2 And (C)he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of meeting; and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall (D)sprinkle the blood all around on the altar. 3 Then he shall offer from the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire to the Lord. (E)The fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, 4 the two kidneys and the fat that is on them by the flanks, and the fatty lobe attached to the liver above the kidneys, he shall remove; 5 and Aaron’s sons (F)shall burn it on the altar upon the (G)burnt sacrifice, which is on the wood that is on the fire, as an (H)offering made by fire, a (I)sweet aroma to the Lord.
6 ‘If his offering as a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord is of the flock, whether male or female, (J)he shall offer it without blemish. 7 If he offers a (K)lamb as his offering, then he shall (L)offer it (M)before the Lord. 8 And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of meeting; and Aaron’s sons shall sprinkle its blood all around on the altar.
9 ‘Then he shall offer from the sacrifice of the peace offering, as an offering made by fire to the Lord, its fat and the whole fat tail which he shall remove close to the backbone. And the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, 10 the two kidneys and the fat that is on them by the flanks, and the fatty lobe attached to the liver above the kidneys, he shall remove; 11 and the priest shall burn them on the altar as (N)food, an offering made by fire to the Lord.
12 ‘And if his (O)offering is a goat, then (P)he shall offer it before the Lord. 13 He shall lay his hand on its head and kill it before the tabernacle of meeting; and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood all around on the altar. 14 Then he shall offer from it his offering, as an offering made by fire to the Lord. The fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, 15 the two kidneys and the fat that is on them by the flanks, and the fatty lobe attached to the liver above the kidneys, he shall remove; 16 and the priest shall burn them on the altar as food, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma; (Q)all the fat is the Lord’s.
17 ‘This shall be a (R)perpetual[b] statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings: you shall eat neither fat nor (S)blood.’ ”

2 Ponetque manum super caput victimae suae, quae immolabitur in introitu tabernaculi testimonii, fundentque filii Aaron sacerdotes sanguinem per altaris circuitum.
3 Et offerent de hostia pacificorum in oblationem Domino, adipem qui operit vitalia, et quidquid pinguedinis est intrinsecus:
4 duos renes cum adipe quo teguntur ilia, et reticulum jecoris cum renunculis.
5 Adolebuntque ea super altare in holocaustum, lignis igne supposito, in oblationem suavissimi odoris Domino.
6 Si vero de ovibus fuerit ejus oblatio et pacificorum hostia, sive masculum obtulerit, sive feminam, immaculata erunt.
7 Si agnum obtulerit coram Domino,
8 ponet manum suam super caput victimae suae: quae immolabitur in vestibulo tabernaculi testimonii: fundentque filii Aaron sanguinem ejus per circuitum altaris.
9 Et offerent de pacificorum hostia sacrificium Domino: adipem et caudam totam
10 cum renibus, et pinguedinem quae operit ventrem atque universa vitalia, et utrumque renunculum cum adipe qui est juxta ilia, reticulumque jecoris cum renunculis.
11 Et adolebit ea sacerdos super altare in pabulum ignis et oblationis Domini.
12 Si capra fuerit ejus oblatio, et obtulerit eam Domino,
13 ponet manum suam super caput ejus: immolabitque eam in introitu tabernaculi testimonii, et fundent filii Aaron sanguinem ejus per altaris circuitum.
14 Tollentque ex ea in pastum ignis dominici, adipem qui operit ventrem, et qui tegit universa vitalia:
15 duos renunculos cum reticulo, quod est super eos juxta ilia, et arvinam jecoris cum renunculis:
16 adolebitque ea super altare sacerdos in alimoniam ignis, et suavissimi odoris. Omnis adeps, Domini erit
17 jure perpetuo in generationibus, et cunctis habitaculis vestris: nec sanguinem nec adipem omnino comedetis.

Les sacrifices de communion
3 Si on offre en sacrifice de communion[a] une tête de gros bétail, mâle ou femelle, on présentera un animal sans défaut à l’Eternel. 2 On posera la main sur la tête de la victime avant de l’égorger à l’entrée de la tente de la Rencontre. Les prêtres, descendants d’Aaron, aspergeront de son sang tous les côtés de l’autel. 3 De ce sacrifice de communion, on offrira à l’Eternel, en les consumant par le feu, la graisse qui recouvre les entrailles et toute celle qui y est attachée, 4 les deux rognons et la graisse qui les enveloppe, qui couvre le dos, ainsi que le dessus du foie, qu’on ôtera avec les rognons. 5 Les descendants d’Aaron les feront brûler sur l’autel, par-dessus l’holocauste déjà placé sur les bûches qui sont sur le feu. Ce sera un sacrifice consumé par le feu, à l’odeur apaisante pour l’Eternel.
6 Si c’est du petit bétail qu’on offre en sacrifice de communion à l’Eternel, on offrira un mâle ou une femelle sans défaut. 7 Si l’on offre un mouton en sacrifice, on le présentera devant l’Eternel. 8 Celui qui l’offre posera sa main sur la tête de la victime avant de l’égorger devant la tente de la Rencontre, et les descendants d’Aaron aspergeront de son sang tous les côtés de l’autel. 9 On prélèvera de ce sacrifice de communion, pour l’offrir à l’Eternel en le consumant par le feu, les parties grasses : la queue entière coupée près de l’échine, la graisse qui recouvre les entrailles et toute celle qui y est attachée, 10 les deux rognons et la graisse qui les enveloppe et qui couvre le dos, ainsi que le dessus du foie qu’on ôtera avec les rognons. 11 Le prêtre les fera brûler sur l’autel : c’est un aliment consumé par le feu, à l’odeur apaisante pour l’Eternel.
12 Si c’est une chèvre qu’on offre, on la présentera devant l’Eternel. 13 On posera la main sur la tête de l’animal avant de l’égorger devant la tente de la Rencontre et les descendants d’Aaron en aspergeront de son sang tous les côtés de l’autel. 14 On en offrira à l’Eternel en les consumant par le feu, la graisse qui recouvre les entrailles et toute celle qui y est attachée, 15 les deux rognons et la graisse qui les enveloppe et qui couvre le dos, ainsi que le dessus du foie qu’on ôtera avec les rognons. 16 Le prêtre fera brûler ces morceaux sur l’autel ; c’est un aliment consumé par le feu, à l’odeur apaisante pour l’Eternel.
Toute graisse revient à l’Eternel. 17 C’est une ordonnance immuable que vous respecterez de génération en génération partout où vous habiterez : vous ne consommerez aucune graisse, ni aucun sang.
