¹⁶ and the priest shall burn them on the altar as food, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma; ^(A)all the fat is the Lord’s.

¹⁷ ‘This shall be a ^(B)perpetual^[a] statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings: you shall eat neither fat nor ^(C)blood.’ ”

⁵ to the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices ^(A)which they offer in the open field, that they may bring them to the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, to the priest, and offer them as peace offerings to the Lord. ⁶ And the priest ^(B)shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and ^(C)burn the fat for a sweet aroma to the Lord.

⁵ And you shall attend to ^(A)the duties of the sanctuary and the duties of the altar, ^(B)that there may be no more wrath on the children of Israel.

³⁵ Then ^(A)I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. ^(B)I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before ^(C)My anointed forever.
