Leviticus 3:16-17

¹⁶The priest shall burn them on the altar as food, offered by fire, for a sweet and satisfying fragrance. All the fat is the Lord’s.

¹⁷It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations in all your dwelling places, that you eat neither fat nor blood.

Leviticus 3:16-17

New International Version

¹⁶The priest shall burn them on the altar^(A) as a food offering,^(B) a pleasing aroma.^(C) All the fat^(D) is the Lord’s.^(E)

¹⁷“‘This is a lasting ordinance^(F) for the generations to come,^(G) wherever you live:^(H) You must not eat any fat or any blood.^(I)’”

¹⁶And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savour: all the fat is the Lord's.
