Leviticus 26:16-17

16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

16 I in turn[a] will do this to you: then[b] I will summon onto you horror, the wasting disease, and the fever that wastes eyes and that drains away life; and you shall sow your seed in vain,[c] and your enemies shall eat it. 17 And I will set my face against you, and you shall be defeated before[d] your enemies; and your haters shall rule over you, and you shall flee away, but[e] there shall not be anybody who is pursuing[f] you.
