¹⁷ I will ^(A)set my face against you, and ^(B)you shall be struck down before your enemies. ^(C)Those who hate you shall rule over you, and ^(D)you shall flee when none pursues you.

^25 (A)“The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them. And you ^(B)shall be a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

⁸ O Lord, what can I say, when Israel has turned their backs before their enemies!

^12 (A)Therefore the people of Israel cannot stand before their enemies. They ^(B)turn their backs to their enemies, because they have become ^(C)devoted for destruction.^[a] I will be with you no more, unless you destroy ^(D)the devoted things from among you.
