The Lord spoke to Moses: 10 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land I am giving you and reap its harvest,[a] you are to bring the first sheaf of your harvest to the priest. 11 He will wave the sheaf before the Lord so that you may be accepted; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath. 12 On the day you wave the sheaf, you are to offer a year-old male lamb[b] without blemish(A) as a burnt offering to the Lord. 13 Its grain offering is to be four quarts[c] of fine flour mixed with oil as a fire offering to the Lord, a pleasing aroma, and its drink offering will be one quart[d] of wine. 14 You must not eat bread, roasted grain, or any new grain[e] until this very day, and until you have brought the offering to your God. This is to be a permanent statute throughout your generations wherever you live.

The Feast of Firstfruits

Then[a] Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 10 “Speak to the Israelites,[b] and say to them, ‘When you come to the land that I am about to give to you and you reap its harvest, then[c] you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruit of your harvest to the priest. 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before[d] Yahweh for your acceptance; the priest shall wave it on the day after[e] the Sabbath. 12 And on the day of your waving the sheaf you shall offer[f] a yearling[g] male lamb without defect as a burnt offering to Yahweh. 13 And its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah[h] of finely milled flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire for Yahweh, an appeasing fragrance; and its libation shall be a fourth of a hin[i] of wine. 14 And you shall not eat bread or[j] roasted grain or[k] ripe grain until this very same day,[l] until you present your God’s offering.
