The Voice
14 The Eternal One spoke to Moses.
Eternal One: 2-3 These are the instructions for determining when an infected person has recovered from a skin disease and should be pronounced clean. The priest must go outside the camp and examine the infected person. If the priest determines the skin disease has been healed, 4 then he will prescribe that two healthy birds—both ritually pure—some cedar wood, scarlet string, and hyssop be brought for the cleansing ritual. 5 The priest will direct that one of the birds be killed in a clay jar over running water. 6 He will then take the living bird along with the cedar, the scarlet string, and the hyssop and dip them in the blood of the first bird killed over running water. 7 Then the priest will sprinkle the one who is being cleansed from his skin disease seven times with the blood, pronounce that he is once again clean, and set the living bird free in a wide, open field. 8 The person who is presented for cleansing will wash his clothes, shave all the hair from his body, and wash himself with water; then he will be clean. After all this is done, he is permitted to enter the community but he must remain outside of his tent for seven days. 9 When the seventh day arrives, he must shave all the hair from his body again—his head, beard, and eyebrows—and he has to wash his clothes again and bathe in water. This is how he is to be made clean.
10 On the eighth day, the person must bring two unblemished male lambs, an unblemished year-old ewe lamb, six quarts of the finest flour mixed with oil to act as a grain offering, and ⅔ pint of oil. 11 The priest who pronounces the person clean will bring the man and his offering into My presence at the entrance of the congregation tent. 12 The priest is then to take one male lamb as the guilt offering, along with the ⅔ pint of oil, and lift them up as a wave offering in My presence. 13 Then he must slaughter the lamb in the same area of the sanctuary where they kill the purification offering for sin and the burnt offering. The guilt offering, like the purification offering, belongs to the priest. They are most sacred. 14 The priest will then collect some of the blood of the guilt offering and place it on the right ear lobe, the right thumb, and the right big toe of the person who is being cleansed. 15 The priest will take some of the ⅔ pint of oil and pour it into the palm of his own left hand, 16 and then he will dip his right finger into the oil in his left hand and sprinkle drops of it with his finger seven times before Me. 17 He will then take some of the oil from his left hand and place it on the right ear lobe, the right thumb, and the right big toe of the person being cleansed and on top of the blood of the guilt offering. 18 The priest should take any remaining oil from his left hand and put it on the head of the person being cleansed. Then the priest must perform the atoning sacrifice before Me to cover the person’s sins. 19 The priest is to offer the purification offering to cover the sin of the one being cleansed. After this, the priest must present the sacrifice for the burnt offering 20 along with the grain offering on the altar. This is how the priest will cover the sin, guilt, and uncleanness of the person seeking to be cleansed; this person must be considered clean once again.
Taken together, these rituals and sacrifices allow the formerly unclean person to reenter the life of the community.
21 If the person who comes for cleansing is poor and cannot afford the prescribed offerings, then he may be covered by bringing one male lamb as a guilt offering to be lifted up as a wave offering. He should also present four pints of the finest flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, along with ⅔ pint of oil. 22 He should also bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, whichever he can afford. One of the birds will be for the purification offering and the other one will be for the burnt offering. 23 When the eighth day arrives (which is the day after he shaves the second time), the person must present them for his cleansing to the priest at the entrance of the congregation tent in My presence. 24 The priest will receive the lamb for the guilt offering and the ⅔ pint of oil, and lift them as a wave offering before Me. 25 Afterward, he will kill the lamb for the guilt offering, collect some of its blood, and place it on the right ear lobe, the right thumb, and the right big toe of the person being cleansed. 26 The priest is to pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand 27 and sprinkle drops of it with his right finger seven times in My presence. 28 The priest will then take some of the oil from his left hand and place it on the right ear lobe, the right thumb, and the right big toe of the person being cleansed and on top of the blood from the guilt offering. 29 The priest should take any remaining oil from his left hand and put it on the head of the person being cleansed to cover him before Me. 30-31 He will then present one of the turtledoves or young pigeons—whichever he can afford—one for the purification offering and the other for the burnt offering that accompanies the grain offering. The priest will cover the sin, guilt, and uncleanness before Me of the person seeking to be cleansed. 32 These instructions explain what to do when someone with a serious skin disease cannot afford all the items for his cleansing.
33 The Eternal One spoke to Moses and Aaron.
Eternal One: 34 When you go into the land of Canaan—the land which I am giving you as your own—and I contaminate or infect one of the houses in your land, 35 the owner of the house must go inform the priest, “I have just noticed a spot in my house.” 36 The priest must then order the person to remove all the contents from the house before he comes to examine the spot. This saves the person from possibly having everything in the house declared unclean. After this is done, the priest can go inside and inspect the spot. 37 If he sees that the spot has greenish or reddish depressions and appears to go deep beneath the surface of the wall, 38 then the priest will exit the house through the door and quarantine the house for seven days. 39 When the seventh day arrives, the priest will go back into the house and inspect it again. If the discolored spot has shown up on other places on the walls, 40 the priest will direct them to remove all the stones that have any suspicious spots on them and discard them in the impure refuse pile outside the camp. 41 They are also to scrape off any suspicious-looking plaster and discard it in the impure refuse pile outside the camp. 42 Then they are to go out and find other stones to replace the ones they removed and then replaster the walls.
43 If there is another outbreak after they have removed all the suspicious-looking stones and plaster and then replastered the walls, 44 the priest must enter the house and inspect it once again. If he finds that the spots have reappeared, then the house has a chronic outbreak and is unclean. 45 The owner must demolish the house and take all its stones, wood, and plaster to the impure refuse pile outside the camp. 46 Whoever enters the house while the house is quarantined by the priest will become unclean until dusk. 47 Also anyone who sleeps or eats inside the house must wash their clothes.
48 If the priest enters the house to inspect it and the spot has not reappeared after the walls have been rebuilt and replastered, the priest will declare the house clean because the spot has not returned. 49 To cleanse the house from its contamination, the priest must take two birds, some cedar wood, scarlet string, and hyssop, 50 and slaughter one bird in a clay jar over running water. 51 He will then dip the cedar wood, hyssop, scarlet string, and the living bird in the blood of the first bird and in running water and sprinkle the house seven times. 52 This is how the priest will cleanse the house from the outbreak using the blood of the sacrificed bird, running water, the living bird, cedar wood, hyssop, and scarlet string. 53 He will set the living bird free over a wide, open field outside the camp. In this way, the priest will cover over the impurity of the house, and the house will be declared clean.
54-57 These are God’s instructions for how to deal with suspicious-looking spots: for scaly areas, swelling, rashes, and discolored spots on the skin and for discolored spots on clothing or in a house. With these instructions, priests are able to determine whether they are clean or unclean.

14 1-2 Ito ang mga tuntuning ibinigay ng Panginoon kay Moises tungkol sa paglilinis ng taong gumaling sa malubhang sakit sa balat:
Pagkatapos maipahayag ng pari na ang taoʼy gumaling na sa kanyang sakit, 3 lalabas ang pari sa kampo at susuriin niya ang katawan ng taong iyon. Kung gumaling na nga siya sa kanyang sakit, 4 magpapakuha ang pari ng dalawang malinis[a] na ibong buhay, isang putol na kahoy na sedro, panaling pula, at isang kumpol ng halaman na isopo. 5 Ipapatay ng pari ang isang ibon sa ibabaw ng palayok na may tubig na galing sa isang bukal. 6 Pagkatapos, muli siyang kukuha ng buhay na ibon, kahoy na sedro, taling pula, at halamang isopo, at ilulubog lahat sa tubig na may dugo ng pinatay na ibon. 7 At ang tubig na may dugo ay kanyang iwiwisik ng pitong beses sa taong gumaling sa kanyang sakit sa balat, at kanyang ipapahayag na magaling na ang taong iyon. Pagkatapos nito, papatayin ng pari ang handog na sinusunog at ihahandog niya ito sa altar pati ang handog ng pagpaparangal. Ganito ang gagawin ng pari sa presensya ng Panginoon para matubos ang karumihan ng tao at magiging malinis siya.
21 Pero kung mahirap ang tao at hindi niya kayang maghandog ng mga ito, magdala na lang siya ng isang lalaking tupa bilang handog na pambayad sa kanyang kasalanan. Itataas niya ang handog na ito sa Panginoon para matubos siya sa kanyang kasalanan. Magdala rin siya ng dalawang kilo ng magandang klaseng harina na may halong langis bilang handog ng pagpaparangal sa Panginoon. At magdala pa siya ng isang basong langis. 22 Magdadala rin siya ng dalawang kalapati o dalawang ibon na batu-bato. Alinman ang kanyang makakayanan sa mga ito, ang isaʼy bilang handog sa paglilinis at ang isa naman ay bilang handog na sinusunog.
23 Sa ikawalong araw, ang lahat ng handog na itoʼy dadalhin niya sa presensya ng Panginoon malapit sa may pintuan ng Toldang Tipanan. At ibibigay niya ito sa pari. 24 Kukunin ng pari ang tupang ihahandog bilang pambayad ng kasalanan at ang isang basong langis, at itataas niya iyon sa presensya ng Panginoon bilang handog na itinataas. 25 Pagkatapos, papatayin niya ang tupa at kukuha siya ng dugo nito at ipapahid sa ibabang bahagi ng kanang tainga ng taong nililinis at sa hinlalaki niya sa kanang kamay at paa. 26 Pagkatapos, maglalagay ang pari ng langis sa kanyang kaliwang palad, 27 at ilulubog niya sa langis ang mga daliri sa kanang kamay at iwiwisik ng pitong beses sa presensya ng Panginoon. 28 Ang ibang langis sa kanyang palad ay ipapahid niya sa ibabang bahagi ng kanang tainga ng taong nililinis at sa hinlalaki nito sa kanang kamay at paa, doon mismo sa pinahiran ng dugo. 29-31 Ang natirang langis sa palad ng pari ay ipapahid sa ulo ng tao. Pagkatapos, ihahandog ng pari ang dalawang kalapati o dalawang ibon na batu-bato. Ang isaʼy handog sa paglilinis at ang isaʼy para sa handog na sinusunog. Ihahandog din niya ang handog ng pagpaparangal. Sa pamamagitan ng gagawing ito ng pari sa presensya ng Panginoon, maaalis ang karumihan ng tao. 32 Ito ang mga tuntunin tungkol sa paglilinis ng taong may sakit sa balat at kung ano ang dapat niyang gawin kung hindi niya kaya ang handog sa paglilinis.
Ang mga Tuntunin Tungkol sa mga Amag na Kumakalat sa Bahay
33 Ito ang sinabi ng Panginoon kina Moises at Aaron 34 tungkol sa dapat gawin kung patutubuin ng Panginoon ang mga amag[b] sa kanilang mga bahay kapag silaʼy nasa Canaan na, ang lugar na ibibigay ng Panginoon sa kanila bilang pag-aari:
35 Kung mapuna ng may-ari ng bahay na nagkakaamag ang kanyang bahay, dapat niya itong sabihin sa pari. 36 At bago pumasok ang pari sa bahay na iyon, ipag-uutos niyang ilabas lahat ang kagamitan sa loob ng bahay, dahil baka pati iyon ay maibilang na marumi. Pagkatapos, papasok ang pari sa bahay 37 at titingnan niya ang amag. Kapag nakita niyang ang dingding ay parang kulay berde o namumula, at parang makapal ang tagos sa dingding,[c] 38 lalabas ang pari sa bahay na iyon at ipapasara niya ang bahay sa loob ng pitong araw. 39 Sa ikapitong araw, babalik ang pari at muling titingnan ang amag sa bahay. At kung iyon ay kumalat pa sa ibang bahagi ng dingding, 40 ipapatanggal niya ang mga dingding na may amag at ipapatapon sa labas ng bayan, doon sa pinagtatapunan ng mga bagay na itinuturing na marumi. 41 At ipababakbak niya ang lahat ng bahagi ng dingding sa loob ng bahay at ang lahat ng binakbak ay ipapatapon din niya sa labas ng bayan, doon sa lugar na pinagtatapunan ng mga bagay na itinuturing na marumi. 42 At ipag-uutos niya na palitan ang lahat ng bahagi ng dingding na tinanggal.
43 Pero kung pagkatapos nitoʼy muling magkaamag ang bahay, 44 pupuntahan niyang muli ang pari at muling ipapasuri ito. Kung ang amag ay kumakalat, ituturing na marumi na naman ang bahay na iyon dahil pabalik-balik ang amag sa bahay. 45 Kaya dapat nang gibain ang bahay at ang mga gamit nitoʼy ipatapon sa labas ng bayan, doon sa lugar na pinagtatapunan ng mga bagay na itinuturing na marumi.
46 Ang sinumang pumasok sa bahay na iyon na ipinasara ay ituturing na marumi hanggang sa paglubog ng araw. 47 At ang sinumang kumain o matulog sa bahay na iyon ay kinakailangang maglaba ng kanyang damit.[d]
48 Pero kung sa pagsusuri ng pari ay hindi na nagkaamag ang bahay pagkatapos palitan ang mga bahagi ng dingding na may amag, ipapahayag ng pari na malinis na ang bahay dahil wala nang amag. 49 At para maituring na malinis ang bahay, kinakailangan ng pari ang dalawang ibon, kahoy na sedro, pulang panali, at halamang isopo. 50 Papatayin niya ang isang ibon sa ibabaw ng palayok na may tubig mula sa bukal. 51 At kukunin niya ang kahoy na sedro, ang pulang panali, halamang isopo, at ang buhay na ibon. At ilulubog niyang lahat ito sa tubig sa palayok na may dugo ng ibong pinatay. At ang tubig na may dugo ay iwiwisik niya ng pitong beses sa bahay. 52 Kaya sa pamamagitan ng dugo ng ibon, tubig na galing sa bukal, buhay na ibon, kahoy na sedro, halamang isopo, at ng pulang panali, malilinis ng pari ang bahay. 53 Pagkatapos, pakakawalan niya ang buhay na ibon sa labas ng bayan. Ganito ang paraan na gagawin ng pari para maalis ang karumihan sa bahay at magiging malinis na ito.
54-57 Ito ang mga tuntunin tungkol sa sakit sa balat na nakakahawa at kumakati, o namamaga, o may butlig o namumuti, at tungkol sa amag ng damit at amag sa bahay. At sa pamamagitan ng mga tuntuning ito, malalaman ninyo kung alin ang malinis at marumi.

Cleansing From Defiling Skin Diseases
14 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “These are the regulations for any diseased person at the time of their ceremonial cleansing, when they are brought to the priest:(A) 3 The priest is to go outside the camp and examine them.(B) If they have been healed of their defiling skin disease,[a](C) 4 the priest shall order that two live clean birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop(D) be brought for the person to be cleansed.(E) 5 Then the priest shall order that one of the birds be killed over fresh water in a clay pot.(F) 6 He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water.(G) 7 Seven times(H) he shall sprinkle(I) the one to be cleansed of the defiling disease, and then pronounce them clean. After that, he is to release the live bird in the open fields.(J)
8 “The person to be cleansed must wash their clothes,(K) shave off all their hair and bathe with water;(L) then they will be ceremonially clean.(M) After this they may come into the camp,(N) but they must stay outside their tent for seven days. 9 On the seventh day(O) they must shave off all their hair;(P) they must shave their head, their beard, their eyebrows and the rest of their hair. They must wash their clothes and bathe themselves with water, and they will be clean.(Q)
10 “On the eighth day(R) they must bring two male lambs and one ewe lamb(S) a year old, each without defect, along with three-tenths of an ephah[b](T) of the finest flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering,(U) and one log[c] of oil.(V) 11 The priest who pronounces them clean shall present(W) both the one to be cleansed and their offerings before the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting.(X)
12 “Then the priest is to take one of the male lambs and offer it as a guilt offering,(Y) along with the log of oil; he shall wave them before the Lord as a wave offering.(Z) 13 He is to slaughter the lamb in the sanctuary area(AA) where the sin offering[d] and the burnt offering are slaughtered. Like the sin offering, the guilt offering belongs to the priest;(AB) it is most holy. 14 The priest is to take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot.(AC) 15 The priest shall then take some of the log of oil, pour it in the palm of his own left hand,(AD) 16 dip his right forefinger into the oil in his palm, and with his finger sprinkle some of it before the Lord seven times.(AE) 17 The priest is to put some of the oil remaining in his palm on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.(AF) 18 The rest of the oil in his palm the priest shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed(AG) and make atonement for them before the Lord.
19 “Then the priest is to sacrifice the sin offering and make atonement for the one to be cleansed from their uncleanness.(AH) After that, the priest shall slaughter the burnt offering 20 and offer it on the altar, together with the grain offering, and make atonement for them,(AI) and they will be clean.(AJ)
21 “If, however, they are poor(AK) and cannot afford these,(AL) they must take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved to make atonement for them, together with a tenth of an ephah[e] of the finest flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering, a log of oil, 22 and two doves or two young pigeons,(AM) such as they can afford, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.(AN)
23 “On the eighth day they must bring them for their cleansing to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting,(AO) before the Lord.(AP) 24 The priest is to take the lamb for the guilt offering,(AQ) together with the log of oil,(AR) and wave them before the Lord as a wave offering.(AS) 25 He shall slaughter the lamb for the guilt offering and take some of its blood and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot.(AT) 26 The priest is to pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand,(AU) 27 and with his right forefinger sprinkle some of the oil from his palm seven times before the Lord. 28 Some of the oil in his palm he is to put on the same places he put the blood of the guilt offering—on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot. 29 The rest of the oil in his palm the priest shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed, to make atonement for them before the Lord.(AV) 30 Then he shall sacrifice the doves or the young pigeons, such as the person can afford,(AW) 31 one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering,(AX) together with the grain offering. In this way the priest will make atonement before the Lord on behalf of the one to be cleansed.(AY)”
32 These are the regulations for anyone who has a defiling skin disease(AZ) and who cannot afford the regular offerings(BA) for their cleansing.
Cleansing From Defiling Molds
33 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 34 “When you enter the land of Canaan,(BB) which I am giving you as your possession,(BC) and I put a spreading mold in a house in that land, 35 the owner of the house must go and tell the priest, ‘I have seen something that looks like a defiling mold in my house.’ 36 The priest is to order the house to be emptied before he goes in to examine the mold, so that nothing in the house will be pronounced unclean. After this the priest is to go in and inspect the house. 37 He is to examine the mold on the walls, and if it has greenish or reddish(BD) depressions that appear to be deeper than the surface of the wall, 38 the priest shall go out the doorway of the house and close it up for seven days.(BE) 39 On the seventh day(BF) the priest shall return to inspect the house. If the mold has spread on the walls, 40 he is to order that the contaminated stones be torn out and thrown into an unclean place outside the town.(BG) 41 He must have all the inside walls of the house scraped and the material that is scraped off dumped into an unclean place outside the town. 42 Then they are to take other stones to replace these and take new clay and plaster the house.
43 “If the defiling mold reappears in the house after the stones have been torn out and the house scraped and plastered, 44 the priest is to go and examine it and, if the mold has spread in the house, it is a persistent defiling mold; the house is unclean.(BH) 45 It must be torn down—its stones, timbers and all the plaster—and taken out of the town to an unclean place.
46 “Anyone who goes into the house while it is closed up will be unclean till evening.(BI) 47 Anyone who sleeps or eats in the house must wash their clothes.(BJ)
48 “But if the priest comes to examine it and the mold has not spread after the house has been plastered, he shall pronounce the house clean,(BK) because the defiling mold is gone. 49 To purify the house he is to take two birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop.(BL) 50 He shall kill one of the birds over fresh water in a clay pot.(BM) 51 Then he is to take the cedar wood, the hyssop,(BN) the scarlet yarn and the live bird, dip them into the blood of the dead bird and the fresh water, and sprinkle the house seven times.(BO) 52 He shall purify the house with the bird’s blood, the fresh water, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop and the scarlet yarn. 53 Then he is to release the live bird in the open fields(BP) outside the town. In this way he will make atonement for the house, and it will be clean.(BQ)”
54 These are the regulations for any defiling skin disease,(BR) for a sore, 55 for defiling molds(BS) in fabric or in a house, 56 and for a swelling, a rash or a shiny spot,(BT) 57 to determine when something is clean or unclean.
