Purification After Childbirth
12 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Say to the Israelites: ‘A woman who becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son will be ceremonially unclean for seven days, just as she is unclean during her monthly period.(A) 3 On the eighth day(B) the boy is to be circumcised.(C) 4 Then the woman must wait thirty-three days to be purified from her bleeding. She must not touch anything sacred or go to the sanctuary until the days of her purification are over. 5 If she gives birth to a daughter, for two weeks the woman will be unclean, as during her period. Then she must wait sixty-six days to be purified from her bleeding.
6 “‘When the days of her purification for a son or daughter are over,(D) she is to bring to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting a year-old lamb(E) for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or a dove for a sin offering.[a](F) 7 He shall offer them before the Lord to make atonement for her, and then she will be ceremonially clean from her flow of blood.
“‘These are the regulations for the woman who gives birth to a boy or a girl. 8 But if she cannot afford a lamb, she is to bring two doves or two young pigeons,(G) one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering.(H) In this way the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean.(I)’”

12 CHÚA phán dạy Môi-se: 2 Con bảo dân Y-sơ-ra-ên: khi một phụ nữ có thai và sinh con trai, người này sẽ bị ô uế bảy ngày cũng như lúc kinh nguyệt. 3 Vào ngày thứ tám đứa con trai sẽ chịu cắt bì nơi da qui đầu. 4 Thời gian tẩy uế huyết là ba mươi ba ngày. Bà không được đụng đến một vật thánh hay vào đền thánh cho đến khi thời kỳ tẩy uế huyết đã qua. 5 Trường hợp sinh con gái, sản phụ sẽ bị ô uế trong hai tuần lễ, như trong lúc kinh nguyệt, thời gian tẩy uế huyết là sáu mươi sáu ngày.
6 Đến khi thời gian tẩy uế huyết chấm dứt, dù sinh con trai hay con gái, sản phụ phải đem đến cho thầy tế lễ tại cửa Trại Hội Kiến một con chiên một tuổi làm tế lễ thiêu và một con bồ câu con hoặc chim gáy con để làm tế lễ chuộc tội. 7 Thầy tế lễ sẽ dâng cả hai con sinh tế trước mặt CHÚA để chuộc tội cho sản phụ và bà sẽ được tinh sạch về xuất huyết.
Đây là luật áp dụng cho phụ nữ khi sinh con trai hay con gái. 8 Nếu không đủ sức dâng một con chiên con, sản phụ phải dâng hai con chim bồ câu hay hai con chim gáy, một con làm tế lễ thiêu và con kia dùng làm tế lễ chuộc tội. Như vậy thầy tế lễ sẽ chuộc tội cho bà và bà sẽ được tinh sạch.

12 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.
3 And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
4 And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.
5 But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days.
6 And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:
7 Who shall offer it before the Lord, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.
8 And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.

She shall not touch any [b]hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary until the days of her purification are fulfilled.
5 ‘But if she bears a female child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her customary impurity, and she shall continue in the blood of her purification sixty-six days.
6 (F)‘When the days of her purification are fulfilled, whether for a son or a daughter, she shall bring to the priest a (G)lamb [c]of the first year as a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove as a (H)sin offering, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 7 Then he shall offer it before the Lord, and make [d]atonement for her. And she shall be clean from the flow of her blood. This is the law for her who has borne a male or a female.
