¹⁷ “Why didn’t you eat the sin offering^(A) in the sanctuary area? It is most holy; it was given to you to take away the guilt^(B) of the community by making atonement for them before the Lord. ¹⁸ Since its blood was not taken into the Holy Place,^(C) you should have eaten the goat in the sanctuary area, as I commanded.^(D)”

⁹ You are to have the part of the most holy offerings^(A) that is kept from the fire. From all the gifts they bring me as most holy offerings, whether grain^(B) or sin^[a](C) or guilt offerings,^(D) that part belongs to you and your sons.

¹⁹ Whatever is set aside from the holy^(A) offerings the Israelites present to the Lord I give to you and your sons and daughters as your perpetual share. It is an everlasting covenant of salt^(B) before the Lord for both you and your offspring.”

²⁷ On the day he goes into the inner court of the sanctuary^(A) to minister in the sanctuary, he is to offer a sin offering^[a](B) for himself, declares the Sovereign Lord.

²⁸ “‘I am to be the only inheritance^(C) the priests have. You are to give them no possession in Israel; I will be their possession. ²⁹ They will eat^(D) the grain offerings, the sin offerings and the guilt offerings; and everything in Israel devoted^[b] to the Lord^(E) will belong to them.^(F)
