The Statutes of Burnt Offerings
1 Then [a](A)Yahweh called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying, 2 “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When any man from among you brings an [b](B)offering near to Yahweh, you shall bring your [c]offering of animals from (C)the herd or the flock. 3 If his offering is a (D)burnt offering from the herd, he shall bring it near, a male (E)without blemish; he shall bring it near (F)to the doorway of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before Yahweh.

The Burnt Offering
1 The Lord called to Moses(A) and spoke to him from the tent of meeting.(B) He said, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When anyone among you brings an offering to the Lord,(C) bring as your offering an animal from either the herd or the flock.(D)
3 “‘If the offering is a burnt offering(E) from the herd,(F) you are to offer a male without defect.(G) You must present it at the entrance to the tent(H) of meeting so that it will be acceptable(I) to the Lord.
