The Statutes of Burnt Offerings

Then [a](A)Yahweh called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When any man from among you brings an [b](B)offering near to Yahweh, you shall bring your [c]offering of animals from (C)the herd or the flock. If his offering is a (D)burnt offering from the herd, he shall bring it near, a male (E)without blemish; he shall bring it near (F)to the doorway of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before Yahweh.

The Burnt Offering

The Lord called to Moses(A) and spoke to him from the tent of meeting.(B) He said, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When anyone among you brings an offering to the Lord,(C) bring as your offering an animal from either the herd or the flock.(D)

“‘If the offering is a burnt offering(E) from the herd,(F) you are to offer a male without defect.(G) You must present it at the entrance to the tent(H) of meeting so that it will be acceptable(I) to the Lord.
