14 Of [a]this he shall bring near, one of every offering as a [b]contribution to Yahweh; (A)it shall [c]belong to the priest who splashes the blood of the peace offerings.

15 (B)Now as for the flesh of the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offerings, it shall be eaten on the day of his offering; he shall not leave any of it over until morning. 16 But if the sacrifice of his offering is a (C)votive or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he brings near his sacrifice, and on the [d]next day what is left of it may be eaten; 17 (D)but what is left over from the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned with fire. 18 So if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings should ever be eaten on the third day, he who brings it near will not be accepted, and it will not be counted to his benefit. It shall be an (E)offensive thing, and the person who eats of it will bear his own iniquity.

19 ‘Also the flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire. [e]As for other flesh, anyone who is clean may eat such flesh. 20 (F)But the person who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to Yahweh, [f]in his uncleanness, that person (G)shall be cut off from his people. 21 (H)When anyone touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness or an unclean animal or any unclean [g]detestable thing, and eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to Yahweh, that person shall be cut off from his people.’”

22 Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 23 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘You shall not eat (I)any fat from an ox, a sheep, or a goat. 24 Also the fat of an animal which dies and the fat of an animal (J)torn by beasts may be put to any other use, but you must certainly not eat it. 25 For whoever eats the fat of the animal from which [h]an offering by fire is brought near to Yahweh, even the person who eats shall be cut off from his people. 26 (K)And you shall not eat any blood, either of bird or animal, in any of your places of habitation. 27 Any person who eats any blood, even that person shall be cut off from his people.’”

28 Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 29 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘He who brings (L)the sacrifice of his peace offerings near to Yahweh shall bring his offering to Yahweh from the sacrifice of his peace offerings. 30 His own hands are to bring offerings by fire to Yahweh. He shall bring the fat with the breast, that the (M)breast may be waved as a wave offering before Yahweh. 31 And the priest shall offer up the fat in smoke on the altar, but (N)the breast shall belong to Aaron and his sons. 32 And you shall give (O)the right thigh to the priest as a [i]contribution from the sacrifices of your peace offerings. 33 The one among the sons of Aaron who brings near the blood of the peace offerings and the fat, the right thigh shall be his as his portion. 34 For I have taken (P)the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the [j]contribution from the sons of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons as a perpetual statute taken from the sons of Israel.

35 ‘This is [k]the share for Aaron and [l]the (Q)share for his sons from the offerings by fire to Yahweh, in that day when he brought them near to minister as priests to Yahweh. 36 [m]These Yahweh had commanded to be given them from the sons of Israel in the day that He (R)anointed them. It is a perpetual statute throughout their generations.’”

37 This is the law of the burnt offering, the grain offering and the sin offering and the guilt offering and (S)the ordination offering and the sacrifice of peace offerings, 38 (T)which Yahweh commanded Moses at Mount Sinai in the day that He commanded the sons of Israel to bring their offerings near to Yahweh in the wilderness of Sinai.

17 (A)You are not allowed to eat within your gates the tithe of your grain or new wine or oil, or the firstborn of your herd or flock, or any of your votive offerings which you vow, or your freewill offerings, or the [a]contribution of your hand. 18 But (B)you shall eat them before Yahweh your God in (C)the place which Yahweh your God will choose, you and your son and daughter, and your male and female slaves, and the (D)Levite who is within your gates; and you shall (E)be glad before Yahweh your God in all that you send forth your hand to do. 19 (F)Beware lest you forsake the Levite all your days upon your land.

20 “When Yahweh your God enlarges your territory (G)as He has promised you, and you say, ‘I will eat meat,’ because [b]you desire to eat meat, then you may eat meat, [c]whatever you desire. 21 If the place where Yahweh your God chooses to set His name is too far away from you, then you may sacrifice of your herd and flock which Yahweh has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates [d]whatever you desire. 22 Just as a gazelle or a deer is eaten, so you will eat it; the unclean and the clean alike may eat of it. 23 Only be strong in yourselves (H)not to eat the blood, for the blood is the [e]life, and you shall not eat the [f]life with the flesh. 24 You shall not eat it; you shall pour it out on the ground like water. 25 You shall not eat it, so that (I)it may be well with you and your sons after you, for (J)you will be doing what is right in the sight of Yahweh. 26 (K)Only your holy things which you may have and your votive offerings, you shall take and go to the place which Yahweh chooses. 27 And (L)you shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of Yahweh your God; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of Yahweh your God, and (M)you shall eat the flesh.

28 “Be careful to listen to all these words which I command you, so that (N)it may be well with you and your sons after you forever, for you will be doing what is good and right in the sight of Yahweh your God.

29 “When (O)Yahweh your God cuts off before you the nations which you are going in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and inhabit their land, 30 beware lest you be ensnared [g]to follow them, after they are destroyed before you, and lest you inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations serve their gods, that I also may do likewise?’ 31 (P)You shall not do thus toward Yahweh your God, for every abominable act which Yahweh hates they have done for their gods; for (Q)they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.

32 [h](R)Whatever I am commanding you, you shall be careful to do; (S)you shall not add to nor take away from it.
