¹⁶ And the priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar as food, an offering by fire for a soothing aroma; ^(A)all fat is Yahweh’s. ¹⁷ It is a ^(B)perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your places of habitation: you shall not eat any fat ^(C)or any blood.’”

^5 [a]The reason is so that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they were sacrificing in the open field, that they may bring them in to Yahweh, at the doorway of the tent of meeting to the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace offerings to Yahweh. ⁶ And the priest shall splash the blood on the altar of Yahweh at the doorway of the tent of meeting and ^(A)offer up the fat in smoke as a soothing aroma to Yahweh.

⁷ when you brought in ^(A)foreigners, ^(B)uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to profane it, even My house, when you ^(C)brought near My food, the fat and the blood. So they ^(D)made My covenant void—this in addition to all your abominations.
