³⁶ As for those of you who may remain, I will also bring ^(A)weakness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. And the sound of a driven leaf will pursue them, and even when no one is pursuing they will flee ^[a]as though from the sword, and they will fall.

¹¹ Indeed we heard it, ^(A)and our hearts melted, and a courageous spirit no longer rose up in any man because of you; for ^(B)Yahweh your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.

⁷ And it will be that when they say to you, ‘Why do you groan?’ you shall say, ‘Because of the ^(A)report that is coming; and ^(B)every heart will melt, all hands will fall limp, every spirit will ^[a]faint, and all knees will ^[b]be weak as water. Behold, it is coming, and it will happen,’ declares Lord Yahweh.”
