³⁴ ‘^(A)Then the land will ^[a]enjoy its sabbaths all the days of the desolation, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land will rest and ^[b]enjoy its sabbaths. ³⁵ All the days of its desolation it will observe the rest which it did not observe on your sabbaths, while you were living on it.

^10 (A)So they hanged Haman on the ^[a]gallows which he had prepared for Mordecai, ^(B)and the king’s anger subsided.

²⁴ The king then gave orders, and they brought those men who had ^[a]maliciously accused Daniel, and they ^(A)cast them, their ^(B)children and their wives into the lions’ den; and they had not reached the bottom of the den before the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.

² For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and ^[a](A)by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
